Hi All,
I just purchased SGNote3 N9005 yesterday. The battery performance is decent, S800 is blazing fast and I really enjoy my new GNote.
Unfortunately, the performance of the camera is sub-par compared to S4 (in overall), especially in low light condition.
Attached is the samples of the photo taken under low light condition, red spots (tint?) are seen on the screen as well as on the picture taken.
Could anyone confirm and reproduce this bug?, if not I'm looking for 1 to 1 replacement...
Is this going to be another HTC One Camera bug?
this is scary bad....... any fix for u?

some people may ignore this because it "their phone" but the samples you provided are alarming to my eyes.... i would think the quality would be far better and crisp
Yeah, that looks extremely bad...
You're using night mode?

Wow noise like that is even rarely seen in bad cameras with iso at max. If it's getting worse I would def exchange it.
I think your device camera is faulty, I don't get such red tint issue.
See my sample photos here, it perform fine & nice. All using Auto mode snap unless specific.
HDR Mode
Smart Stabilisation ON

This might sound stupid, but did you remove the plastic protective film on the lens of the camera? I asked this bcos I didn't know there was one and the camera was behaving rather strange, sometimes wouldn't even focus when put close for micro shot...And after I found out and remove the film, problem solved

Custom ROM? Already? Doubt it.

How about not using the Auto setting for ISO....
And learning a thing or two about Photography, because this is basic photo knowledge.

Hey people, how are you all doing? I too got a Galaxy Note III about a month ago and after a lot of experiences, I thought of asking for some advice.
When i use the camera app, the image looks clear and fantastic on the screen but as soon as I click capture, the saved image isn't what I see while capturing. I made sure I don't move the phone while capturing and tried it in different environments as well but the same continues.
I haven't rooted the phone yet and made sure that no app installed on the phones messes with the camera. So, any solution for the problem?
Thanks!

Ok so one of the main reason im buying the Note 3 is the "camera quality" after read all the comments of how good the note 3 camera is but for some reason the camera isnt as good as i expected , my mum s3 camera even better than mine! all the picture i takes look really grainy and almost as if it has a filters applied to it make it look like brushstrokes. i wonder if anyone on the same boat and how can i solve this ? flashing difference firmware ?

yeal i did remove it but still the same! really sad since i love my Note 3 this is like my 1st Android phone but the camera really downside
Maybe try another camera app from the playstore to rule out it's a hardware problem?
Disable the "intelligent stabilsation" feature and/or try a different app. Usually Camera FV-5 works fine.
Hello guys , i just bought a s5 but i notice that the front camera looks blurry. I tiried turning off beauty face and play with the options but it doesn't seem to correct it. I don't know if this is a software problem or what
We have no way of knowing either because you didn't even provide a sample photo or detailed information about your settings or how you use the camera.
Without those crucial details, all we can do is make random guesses. Perhaps you aren't holding the camera steady. Or have a fingerprint over the camera aperture. Or innumerable other causes. You need to provide a lot more information if you hope to narrow down the cause.

so sorry to resurrect this thread.. but with snapdragon camera app (which now almost all roms are using [mostly without mentioning]), the front camera image is so good. BUT when you use apps like whatsapp or imo and try to use it internally (via the app itself), the pallid blurry and ridiculous image reappears.... any solution to that?
I take the photo with the stock Samsung app, and then share it via WhatsApp or whatever I'm using
WhatsApp is terrible for camera/video, won't focus half the time, most other camera apps are a lot lower quality than the stock Samsung one, which is why a lot of people stick with TW ROMs
My Samsung galaxy grand 2 back camera suddenly loses its quality. The pictures are no longer clear and sharp as they use to be. They look white with too much noise. I don't know what is wrong? i don't know if it is a software or hardware problem. Can anyone help?

I guess its software problem. Just clear data of camera from application. Then clear data of camera..

Thanks. I'll try that. I hope it works because it sucks this way.
Hii everyone, my camera captures yellowish photos from the day I bought it only when I take low light snaps with flash. Any solutions?
