The phone was working fine this morning, I locked the phone and then it wouldn't unlock when I pressed the power/ home button. I restarted the phone and now it will not boot past that screen. Here is what I have tried:
Battery pull. All it does when I re insert the battery is flash the screen and turn off.
VOL UP + Home + power (Nothing)
VOL DOWN + HOME + Power (nothing)
Phone is NOT rooted.
Keep trying to get into download mode and have Odin ready if it gets there to flash the stock firmware.

Hello, I just bought a Galaxy S4 GT-I9505 ! I want to root the device, but I can't reach Download Mode ! I press Volumedown+Home+Power! The phone vibrates, nothing appears on the screen. Then after few seconds, it boots back to teh ROM. I tried removing battery, keeping it for several time, this is new out of the box. Btw it boots normally into the Recovery Mode that comes by default with the phone. Any help ?
I can't give you clear answer as I own i9500 which is unlocked initially.Do your phone unlocked?

When you turn on the device releases the power button but hold onto home+ down

Hold volume down, home and power while S4 is off.
Release power button when S4 starts up.
Push up volume button and ignore the warning.
You should now be in download mode.
Please note that a few clone S4's didn't have download mode. This was how you could tell it was a fake...
I need some help. My mobile (Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-I9500) this morning rebooted it self, only to end up in the Samsung galaxsy S4 logo. This logo appears and disappears every 5 seconds. I trid to connect it to Kies/ Ordin but i couldn't, I also tried to get the mobile in download mode (Pressing home + vol down + power buttons and after press volume up) but after the warning sign the mobile returns to the previous status (logo appearing/disappering).
is this problem can't be fixed ?
the problem is exactly like the one in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_0A_D5Od9LM
the problem were somehow related to the power button i screwdrive my phone and cleaned the power button and did some pressure on it and it worked..
hello
i'm new here at the forum.
i have a problem with the superman rom
i rooted my phone i installed the rom but now my phone is already 30 minutes on a red screen ( from the superman rom i think )
i cant go anymore to the recovery by using volume up home and power buttom.
what can i do? help please i need my phone :crying:
able to reboot the phone by keep pressing the power button?
if can.. 1st times reboot immediately pressing volume up, home and power button and it will reboot again.. A 2nd times reboot release the power button only.
Red screen = wrong kernel flashed (you flashed s7 flat kernel on s7 edge)(There's an option to select kernel during installation. You probably selected wrong option or didn't check it)
This can be solved easily by flashing the right kernel.
Everything but display should still work normally, so you should be able to enter recovery by holding power+home+volume up when the phone is off or before the s7 logo come up.
If you still cannot enter recovery mode. You can enter download mode by holding power+home+volume down and flash stock firmware with it and start over. But for this problem, you probably not need to do this.

Hey mate,
like NonXtreme said, it looks like you installed the wrong kernel, so just reboot your device by pressing Power + Home + Vol Down, and when the device shut down press directly Power + Home + Vol Up, now you should get into the recovery.
Now you have to reinstall the Rom with the correct Kernel! (g935f maybe).
Let me know if there are further questions.
Recently tried to flash a new bootloader and modem in my S7 Edge through Odin, but now the screen is stuck in the Powered By Android initial boot screen. I cannot turn it off by using the power button, the only thing that works is if I press the power button + volume down, however that does not take me to the Download Mode but instead just restarts the phone and back into the Powered By Android screen. Volume Up + Power does not seem to be working.
Am getting desperate now, please help!

Managed to fix it
What I did was keep holding volume down + menu button + power without letting go. It rebooted into the Powered by Android many times but after about 3-5 minutes of holding it straight it finally sent me to the download mode where I was able to install stock S7 Rom.

[ROM][11.0][UNOFFICIAL] Nexus Stock for 2019 Galaxy Tab A 10.1 [SM-T510]
using TWRP and it rebooted to the G but wouldn't load.... restart and now I'm in a FOREVER bootloop:
Ideas? I've tried holding Power + Vol Up, Power + Vol Dwn, Power+Vol Up+Vol Dwn, connecting to computer for adb which doesnt see any devices so I can't force into recovery... ANY help would be great!
Can you go in the Download Mode?
Nope.... I actually got it fixed LOL.... I had to remove the back, disconnect the battery... hold the vol + and vol - plug battery back in and then attach to computer to power on... THAT put me in download mode to fix..... but trying it without disconnecting the battery... it wouldn't shut down, I could hold the power button for a week and it just kept going through the loop
