Samsung Galaxy S II vs Galaxy S vs iPhone 4 thickness comparison

PhoneArena stacks up a preview Samsung Galaxy S II unit to demonstrate how the Galaxy S sequel takes the "thinnest smartphone" crown from the iPhone 4. We also compare it with the 0.39" (9.9mm) thick Galaxy S and showcase how remarkably thin it is, even next to the 0.37" (9.3mm) iPhone 4.
The Samsung Galaxy S II is 0.33" (8.49mm), which is less than even the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc, which is 0.34" (8.7mm) in its thinnest part...

It's very close, but i'd say Nokia is best, and Sony is second.

The Z1 is a blurry mess on that last photo of the mountain. Looks much better in the rest though. I'd say the Nokia is best, but not by much.

i think the Nokia comes first.
Then it's Note 3 and Z1 same. Z1 has more detail but more noise. Note 3 has less detail but less noise.

The Nokia wins then the Z1 and last but not least the Note 3

Hi,
I have Sony Z1 and Nokia Lumia 1520; i take pictures with both since weeks, months; my favorite is the INCREDIBLE NOKIA (Too much noise with Z1)

1520 kills all. Contrast, color reproduction and dynamic range are so good. About detail, quite similar, but 1520 has the best FoV.
Note 3 seems overly sharp - due to the aggressive algorithm. I don't know, basic comsumers will prefer it, but look at the leaves of the tree, a little bit "abnormal" for me. However, IMO, overall still looks better than Z1. Z1 has nothing so special compared to the other two. Look at the rock of the mountain below and we can see how Note 2 is still better.
One thing about the white balance, I think on 1520 and Z1 a little bit too warm, and a little bit too cold on Note 2. In average is the best.

in these two compares,note 3 is really terrible,knocks out first.
For sure NOKIA is better that SONY here.but far objects in z1 are more bright.but totally 1520 is one step above z1..
hope some CAMERA SOFTWARE improvements on z1 on KitKat.because everyone knows the camera hardware on z1 is really better that those two

Clearly the Nokia has better contrast, and depth of field. The Nokia image is wider angle, combined with a .4 of an f stop advantage with such small image sensors will make a substantial difference to distant objects appearing to be in focus.
On a side note, if you reduce the Sony image down to the same size as the Nokia, then they are much closer in terms of quality.
Sony need to be more smart with their image processing, still far too aggressive with the noise reduction significantly hurting the final result.

Xperia Z5 vs Z3 display

Hi all, I have a xperia Z3 and Z5, placed next to each other, there is a difference in display quality of the Z3's favor. On Z3 display white is much purer , while the Z5 is yellowish. Z5 is on the right side. Is normal or my Z5 have a display problem?

Maybe try adjusting the white balance on display settings on the Z5 so that it looks "purer".

Well i had a Z3 and now a Z5 and he display on Z5 is way sharper.

You may have a faulty Z5 screen.
You can try to compensate with the white balance settings.

I have both at the moment. can post pics if you guyz want. My Z3 is way blue. hurts the eye

Compared to my OnePlus One (LCD display too), my Z5 has a very blueish tint I must compensate with "White Balance". Are you guys noticing the same with your Z5 (Colder colors/white)?

Z3 is the only Xperia which doesn't "follow" Sony's style, color temperature is more cold, Sony has "reverted" it from Z3+/Z4 to be more Sony, I mean color temperature is hot again, but Sony did to much red from Z1 on their Xperia display, I even feel HTC One M7 is much more better and comfortable for me.

As i have a Z3 and Z5 (Z3 is my "Emergency Phone") i recognized exactly the same. Can anyone provide a Z5 Display Setting which matches the Z3?

Z3 battery is a bit better for me honestly. I also use Z3 for games and social stuff

Z3 Battery is better. For two simple Reasons:
Z3 -> Snapdragon 801 with 3100mah battery
Z5 -> Snapdragon 810 (aka i like heat) with 2900mah battery (wut, Sony?)

It's not a problem buddy. Z3 is over blue. Z5 is better actually way better in real life

The reason of this problem is complicated. Sony uses 3 (as i can see) different screen panel on xperia z5. Same situation appears also on Z3. I have green Z5 and my sister has white Z5 and her phone's display is much better than mine. Some of Z5 has better display than z3 and some of have worse. I think sony should finish this policy and should use only one display panel for every model

And then you got the "issue" (there is an issue though, I believe) with the replacement panels, as well

It's fine in low light. I took this photo with one lamp on at the other end of the room for the watch photo. No lights on for the Pringles (there was a window about 6 ft away), and a 60watt bulb over head on the V20 phone photo.

Since the XZ Sony's haven't been as hot as the z5. The z5 got really hot. So the XZ & the XZs warms up but it is not much hotter than say, the galaxy s7, V20 or M9. Gaming is smoother and looks better on the XZ & the XZs--- it's a litter better than any other device i've played on , that includes, S7, M9, Iphone 6s plus. I thought the s7 would have looked better with it's Amoled display, but it isn't. Colors are great but not as good as the XZ or XZs.

I'ts remarkable . However, it is you should know that it has a shorter zoom and records at 720p. I t also looks better in good lighting.
