Is there a tweak that will allow me to pull down the notification shade while still having knock code enabled? I am rooted on stock rom.

Unfortunately, I do not think so. That is a security feature because if you can do that, anyone who grabs your phone can. That sometimes can give up sensitive information you'd rather keep private.
How about lockscreen notifications while knock code is enabled? I want to secure my phone but I want to be able to quickly glance at the notification to see if it's important
I'd like this option too, maybe an xposed module out there?

Auto-response: I found an xposed module named "Lockscreen Tweakbox" that allows this (amongst other things).

I was wondering if someone knows how to disable:
- Heads Up notifications (Super annoying when you're doing something and it pops up in the front of the screen)
- the Volume buttons changing the font size in Messaging (There is used to be a way to disable to in settings, but I cannot find it anymore)
Thank you in advanced!
I have exactly the same question, regarding text font size of SMS. In the past there as a setting, but on S7 edge it's gone. Pretty annoying
I know that this thread is old, but is there any way to turn off heads up notification? There is no option for that?

It's still there in three dots, settings. I'm quite pleased with the default though

I'm using shortcutter which allow us to toogle heads up in quick setting. Also we could add other toggles that are normally unavailable. It's pretty fun to play with even if you are unrooted. You should try it, seriously. Or maybe switch notification to show silently
I currently have an iPhone 7 and heavily use the notification functionality.
Let's say I'm in meeting and the phone is on the table, locked. If someone sends a me a WhatsApp message, for example, then the phone will beep and light up for a few seconds and I'll see a new notification on the lock screen showing that I have a WhatsApp message from the sender. The same applies for other applications like email.
I have a Samsung S8 Galaxy and am trying to replicate the same behaviour. The notifying app definitely makes a noise, but the screen doesn't light up to show the details. I have to press the button on the right hand side to view the lock screen notification.
Is this a setting somewhere or a deficiency in Android/S8?
You can enable the edge lightning feature, although this only shows the app icon and a lightning and not the notifications text itself.

I'm sure it's possible!:fingers-crossed:
You can tap on the app icon when the edge lightens and quick reply from lockscreen is enabled.
Here is a tutorial on how to enable quick reply for notifications on lockscreen via adb:

In combination with quick reply on lockscreen this is the way to go I think!
I cannot use PH-1 's NFC, no any sound or response if tag to NFC tag/device.
I can use same approach to read my NFC tag, pairing my headphone with another Android phone, but no any response on PH-1 ...
I download apps: 1) NFC check : Said the phone included NFC. 2) NFC Tool : cannot read my NFC tag, no any response. 3) NXP NFC: Cannot read my NFC tag, no any response.
Might the NFC is broken? Damn, I am in oversea is difficult to perform replacement. :crying:
be aware that the nfc chip is right at the bottom of the phone

By the way, PH-1 also have not a NFC tile on Quick Setting Tiles, and no NFC icon on status bar. Not good.

Quick toggle tile, may be but I like not having that NFC icon in the notification. NFC remains on always on my phone so having that icon seems unnecessary to me.

Quick tile for NFC can be added via this app (I use it but benefit none in sharing, just that it works well for me).

Made sure android beam & NFC was enabled on both phones and then touched the base of the PH-1 to the middle of the other phone (LG G6). Both phones have to be unlocked & awake.

Thanks, I'll try that. Odd place to put the NFC chip
Bottom nfc antenna works great for tap to pay.
I guess pairing to ph1 would be goofy though.
Sent from my PH-1 using XDA Labs
For me it works flawlessly with my nfc sony speaker. Pairing was flawless with vibration/sound feedback.
(Yeah at first had to find out where the nfc is located (HW)
Has anyone noticed the new data flow arrows are now independent of the wifi and cell icons. Now when data is sent the little arrows pop up, moving the Bluetooth icon around to the left and right. It's a bit jumpy and disconcerting - any ideas on how to solve?
Substratum doesn't seem able to do anything about it, unfortunately.
yup as most of users aren't used to system icons on the right to move, it feels distracting. Arrows should have been a little smaller above the wifi icon so that there's no need to move the adjacent icons.
I have also noticed this and find it distracting, not an improvement on the old system IMO. Also the X on the deactivated simcard.
Another thing I noticed is the background apps notification. Any way to disable?
I have the same problem. I wonder if it's a bad implementation of Xiaomi, or a bug in Oreo itself
Exactly

Using the feedback app will do nothing except send them all you personal usage stats. The purpose is not to report feedback but to open up a backdoor on your phone.

The Oreo update is just awful. I have noticed several rendering issues and various other bugs and app compatibility issues.
I have disabled the data icon using UI tuner.

You don't have to disable any icon, just install substratum app + substweaks and "Enable WiFi activity indicators", it will remove them from status bar for both wifi and mobile data.
Substratum theme substweaks will help to get rid of the arrows also you can center clock. It gives you the option to enable the arrows, but if you choose it, it results to the opposite
Edit: sry _mysiak_ didn't see your post

Yes, you can install nicelock that is in this forum, and there is an application called niceshot, which when you make a screenshot gives you the option to record in video.

I wish there was an option to add that as a icon in notification panel as it's more convenient. Even adding it to the app screen Rather than home screen
