Nice! I'm surprised they didn't alarm the device.
Did they have the VR to test out also?
The edge felt OK, not as good as the 4. Also while using it you might accidentally touch the icons on the side, and resizing windows by swiping down from the top corner seem only to work from the left whereas the note 4 works from any side. When i tried to swipe down from the right side(where the curved screen meets the main screen) it wouldn't resize the window. But both screens looked sharp and vibrant.

I figured they would be at the Best Buy locations that have a "Samsung Experience" kiosk inside.

I'm not really sure. I didn't spend too much time playing with it, I went there mainly to see the note 4.
What about price? A T-Mob rep just told me it will cost $750.00 off contract. He also said the release date for T-Mob was pushed back to the 25th of October! Has anyone heard any different, they are not always the best to go to for information.

The salesguy in the AT&T store had to go to anotehr shop because they were out of stock. That said, like many others, they may not have put much faith in the tab: he told me they keep only very limited stock in their shop and kept on funning out of them because of the demand...

GSM shows out of stock for me. Verizon appears in stock... I just hope I can turn my AT&T one into a developer one via a ROM flash or something... maybe? Though I don't mind the AT&T version with the exception of the stupid AT&T address book that can't be removed. If it weren't for that I wouldn't even really care as I've disabled the other minor AT&T crap.

You might just be better off buying the Nexus 5 since it sounds like you might be doing some rooting and stuff. Since I'm sure the Nexus 5 won't come to Verizon, I'll go for a dev edition Moto X.
Even worse is lack of a warranty. Who buys a dev edition device and doesn't unlock it?

Yeah I'm actually on the exact same boat right now with the nexus 5. Overall the HTC is a better phone (hardware wise - especially audio-wise, for both recording and output). There's obviously more profit to be had by just selling the One in-box though.
I've had the One before, it's an awesome phone. It just got a little too banged up without a case/skin so I traded it in. Letters came off and all that - I just never said anything in the forum. Definitely not making that mistake again though; I'm putting a thin case or skin on it.
I think I've come to the realization that even better than having the "best" or newest phone (I.e. nexus 6 or 6 plus or Note 4), is having gotten one of the best deals. So, good-enough value trumps newness. Maybe, maybe not. We'll see.

One of my staff responsible for mobile devices asked me today how many VZ Note Edge I wanted to order. After weeks of me asking for Verizon Edge availabilty, he said that our corporate rep can now place the order for them. So folks, check with your reps--I would imagine that it's a matter of short time before it hits the retail market.

Just picked one up. So far i like it, got the wallet case with it since it was the cheapest. I'll pick up another case online but definitely needed something to protect it. So far my ONLY complaint is the screen protector that goes down around the edge keeps popping up. Besides that I like it so far. I'm coming from a Note II and we'll c how it goes but so far so good.
I'll post back after I've messed with it a bit.
This phone is pretty awesome. Having the apps bar on the edge screen definitely improves the note series I think. The screen protector does keep popping up and is quite annoying but I'll live with it. The phone feels lighter than the Note 4 and feels like a premium made device. The phone comes with Advance Calling 1.0 but you have to enable it and then restart your phone after at least 5 minutes have passed to fully enable it. I wish that there was a root method for the device, but I knew that the device would be locked prior to purchasing. It does take a little bit of time to get used to the edge screen, but I definitely enjoy the added functionality that it brings to the device. I almost wish that they would have moved the power button to the left near the volume rocker, but can live with it being on the top of the device.

Yea i took my protector off. I am going to put it back on later and let the phone sit on the edge portion for a period of time and see if it sticks. Going to order a new one when I decide which I want. Zagg has the phone on their site but doesn't have anything available for it yet. I know they made some ATT that they sell at stores but i'd love to grab it off amazon if they could make them available that way.
Picked mine up today at the Verizon store. Was the first to buy one and there wasn't a line. So far loving the phone a little bit of a learning curve but I like the look and feel of the device.
This is the screen protector I'm using and have no issues with it at all. Just make sure to let it completely dry before using the sPen or it will leave indention's.

Yes. They are available on samsungs website. They actually have been since the beginning of December. Verizon scrubbed the original launch because the edge bar can be used even while the phone is locked. Due to complaints they finally released it even though this is still an issue.

I had a quick look at Samsung's site, but didn't find any developer edition phones. After some searching, I found a link to an S3 developer, but that item is reachable only via direct link. Do you have a link to the Edge?

My bad. For some reason there's a link to the Verizon Note 4 Developer edition in the email for the release of the Note Edge the other day. I didn't look at which one it was just saw the post date on it. I get a new phone every 6 months or so if I want, so I'd never actually buy a dev edition for myself.

you don't want white. I though i did... unitl i had the black one. the edge screen drops away when not in use. and you end up with a black bar running down the side screen like a bezel. i look really bad in white

Looks like all carriers are accepting replacement Note 7s. I see sprint will exchange it for another phone, but what about a full refund instead? I guess we will see how this turns out. At this point, I am ready to return the phone and get my note 5 out to be used. Will you be staying with the Note 7?

Ya, one of my biggest concerns in staying with note 7, even after 2nd recall, is the resale value.

As for me that is not what i care about. What i care about is there is NOTHING to jump to. I will be stuck just going back to my note 4 cause there is no other phone than the note 7 with 5.7 inch screen s pen and mst payment capability. THIS FRIGGON SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS

Note 5 has all that, but after a few days of use, the note 5 feels a bit slower and sluggish compared to the Note 7.

Im sooo unhappy right now. Going to hold off on returning till we fibs out what is going on. Id rather use this till they fix the problem or offer me a note 8 or maybe an s8. Not paying nig nucks for an almost yr old phone in the s7

OMG as if this whole thing isn't bad enough they have disabled my gear vr on my note 7..

If you purchased the VR from sprint they will take it back and refund it.

I'm with you sir. I've returned my Note 7 for full credit on my account. No more Samsung for me. They can keep their locked bootloaders, I don't feel like playing their cat and mouse game anymore. Going to take a good hard look at the v20 and Pixel. Let's hope they are more dev friendly!
