Problem with back to stock JB - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

HI I recently was playing around witk KK, stock one, and custom ones, but for me battery is horible it's twice worse than JB no matter what I do, trying to fix this. So I wanted to go back to stock JB, root it, and I did this using xda thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 with D80210A_00.kdz file. But I don't have LTE than... I can't even choose it in settings, I have only GSM/WDCMA. How to fix this?

Home Screen Bounce Back Issue ?

Hi everyone,
I'm sorry for opening another thread of this issue but search is out of service now on XDA. My Nexus 7 have bounce back issue. It's rooted and has custom recovery.
What is the easiest way to resolve this issue ? I love stock 4.1.2 Google rom very much but bounce back issue is killing me. I can flash new kernels and edit files if i have to.
Thanks
I'm on stock rom, rooted, 4.2.1 and I don't have a 'bounce back' issue. What does that mean? Have you tried 4.2.1? It is working perfectly for me.
I think Nova or Apex launchers both have fixes for that problem.
I'm on Nova and the latest version doesn't do that anymore.
I'm on nova running cm10.1 and it seems to have cleared it up for me. I did have it though. Sooooo annoying. With custom ROMs android would be dead IMO

Im on stock rooted 4.2.2 and the notification pull down is fixed now but still have home screen bounce back (even on nova launcher) anyone got any ideas? Its very annoying, this would likely be something to do with kernel not rom?

[Q] putting a custom ROM/kernel on i9505g GE MFD

I have a brand new GE Android 4.2.2 running MFD that I'd like to be able to flash Android 4.3 and/or the Faux Kernel on to enhance functionality. I've been scouring the xda forums for a couple of days and can't find any posts with anyone attempting this. I had no problem rooting the phone and installing CWM recovery but for the life of me I can't get a custom rom or kernel on it. I have tried i9505 MF8 roms and various kernels including Faux. I've tried dirty flashing and clean flashing. I can't the phone to boot after installing any of these and always have to revert back to my stock backup. (I believe it because I'm on MFD).
Anyone else trying this, something similar, or have any ideas?
Any advice would be greatly Appreciated.

It doesn't work yet. We have no custom ROMs or custom recovery for our phone (9505G) as of yet. The 4.3 leak has a lot of issues for most of us. If you've flashed and gotten stuck not being able to load - I recommend following my directions here to fix - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2360346
4.3 on GE
Thanks malybru!
I was able to flash 4.3 on my i9505 GE this evening.
It's a little buggy. Navigation is gone and the GPS doesn't seem to function correctly.
The rom does say experimental so I was expecting some degree of bugs.
Frankly I'm just happy I was finally able to flash something on my phone.
Are there any other roms available for the i9505 GE?
I haven't been able to find any, but of course I was unable to find the 4.3.
Thanks again for your help
No Roms

The only thing I wasn't able to load were the MF8 roms such as Omega. I was never in a soft brick state. It's disappointing to know there are no roms out yet but not surprising. I was wondering how the community would support the GE phones. I wasn't sure if there'd be hoards of developers using the phones or none at all.
XDA should have a GE category in the i9505 section.
Thanks for the advice.

Questions about Kit Kat update T-Mobile.

What's going on world. I've recently found out that the T-Mobile G2 has kit kat ROM floating around and I was just wondering if anyone has flashed it and what their thoughts about it are? Also I've read that after flashing the ROM you lose custom recovery which in turn would leave one stuck with that particular ROM until one is created.. I guess I'm just asking if anyone believes a custom recovery would be up any time soon?

Read the general G2 section.. There is a long thread about this.

I just received my D801 back from LG repair after dead spots and phantom inputs on my device. LG replaced the touchscreen under warranty. Now the phone is smooth and very responsive, like it should be.
Since I had restored phone to the 10g firmware and unrooted before sending it in, I decided to flash the 20a KK update. Of course I lost root access and custom recovery, but I can live with that awhile I evaluate performance, which is, so far, better than 4.2 JB. T-Mo will eventually push the OTA update, which requires stock recovery. I figured I'd do it manually by flashing the .kdz file, which BTW does NOT wipe data. Despite large size (1.5 GB), file flashes quickly using LG Flash tool.
Maybe I'm just very happy to have my G2 back and working properly, but I like the KK update, although I hope a root exploit is found soon and we get a new custom recovery. That's why I donate to devs!
Don't know if that helps. Give KK a try, you'll like it!

Since returning to Stock, issues with soft touch keys, particularly the back key

I've been trying some AOSP Roms and Note 5 Roms to see what kind of features I like. I've gone back to Stock, as several Apps I like don't work in Custom and I'm due for an upgrade soon. I have SM-N900W8 (Canada\Telus).
My Back Key doesn't work and my menu button is doing SFinder stuff instead in Lollipop. Here is the messed up part. If I restore back to KitKat, no issues, but even if I upgrade to Lollipop from Kit Kat, issue comes back. I've tried OTA, ODIN Flash, and Samsung Switch\Kies, nothing. If I go back to custom ROM (Most were Darklord Note 5 base, all really good work). The soft keys work.
Be aware I'm still learning the ropes here. I even used Odin to wipe my EFT and NAND my data partition, still nothing. I'm out of ideas. Can anyone point me the right way?

Not Entirely, but I found a Work Around. If I get back to Lollipop, reroot (I use TWRP and SuperSU), and then install a Custom Kernel (I've tested LeanKernel and Arter97), then it works again. I'm going to now try to reflash back to Stock Kernel later this week, and test the results.
Update: Reflashed Stock Kernel provided here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/general/direct-download-bootloaders-modems-t3258803 (Thanks to @jcadduono , very convenient) and same issue, back to Arter97 or Lean Kernel for now. Hoping someone has a fix soon.
I just made a post. Did not see this one. I'm having the same issue

I think this might have to do with soft bricking the device, because I updated my rooted n900w8 from 4.4.3 (If im remembering correctly) to 5.0 while still rooted and ended up softbricking it. I think. But I also had to mess around with the BL, AP, and CSC to get it working again. could it be because of that ? has anyone else dealt with this as well?

Deesleep issue on stock firmware

Hey guys, i have question regarding the deepsleep issue that a lot of people have with the s6 edge + after root. I have searched the issue but i can't find any definitive answers (maybe that's just me?). All point to modded kernels.
I rooted my phone on 5.1.1 and immediately ran into the issue where the phone refuses to go into deepsleep. I only got half a day of battery life since then. I flashed back stock firmware with odin several times, but the the issue persisted. Since then only modified kernels have been my savior. Now on 6.0.1 i'm still having the same issue. I was hoping it was a firmware bug on 5.1.1. Obviously not. I read somewhere that it was tied to KNOX, but still no definitve answer. So my question is. Will i ever be able to get the phone back to stock and working like before root? If it is possible, how would i go about this? I will sell this phone in the near future, so i would like to sell it unmodified.
Thanks in advance guys.
Unfortunately, the only time I ran into this issue is when i updated to 6.0.1. I later rooted and installed a custom ROM and kernel, and surely enough, problem was gone. I plan on staying like this since obviously, there's a lot more benefits when it comes to custom ROMs. Logically reverting back to stock should in theory should i theory fix your deep sleep issue, if this is not the case then.....sorry.

Going back to stock will not cure this because you have rooted the phone.I used the TWRP recovery method of rooting and only loose around 5% overnight.
