@maozer If it's asking you to format drives when you connect, you are probably in qhsusb_bulkmode. You need to follow the first part of that tutorial to dd the same partitions to your device.

Are you going to give up already? Installing ubuntu is the easy part. Just download it and run it off a usb stick. There's a lot of tutorials on how to do that. When you get to the part where you have to run the commands, just push the boot, aboot and laf img. Download them again and make sure there the correct ones because any errors now could nuke your phone.

If your referring to a virtual box then yeah that'll do it. Its getting late now so I can't help for too much longer. Just follow the no download, no recovery mode guide and flash the 3 partitions I mentioned before then use the tot method to bring your phone back to life.

When you get to the part where you have to run the dd commands, you'll be using those 3 partitions instead of the ones that the guide mentions. And after your done you'll have to power off your phone and follow this guide to reflash your Rom.

I was in the same situation as you, but I've done something wrong during the manual and now what i have is this
No download mode,hard reset doesn't work.
computer doesn't recognize my phone nor the device manager and device is stuck on logo.
does any of you guys have a solution?

Does any1 have another solution ? with pc?

I will try to help you as I try to help to all bricked g2 owners but on tuesday. Don't turn it on to save battery

ok there is a progress !!
now i can see lg logo and it goes right to fastboot mode started udc_start..
looked for solution but didnt find something that work
any suggestios??

It says device model is different, so the firmware you are flashing is meant for another model. Find the firmware for your model or if you accidently flashed another models firmware on yours then you have to edit the firmware stock .tot or the .dll with hex editor and replace the model number. I dont know which file anymore.

i downloaded the files from here: http://storagecow.eu/index.php?dir=Xda/LG+G2/Stock/AT&T/
both of them and they both didnt work.. is'nt it the right files for my model? d800d10?

Maozer if your phone is the at&t d800 then it should be for your phone. But then the question is, did you flashed another firmware on it before? If so then the build.prop could be different. If the d800 is good for your phone then hexedit the file to like d802 maybe and see if it goes then. Its like an verification to prevent bricks.

I just flashed TWRP and the flashable SuperSU. No need for CF Autoroot.
I just let twrp do it. Just boot into twrp, reboot to system. It will ask if you want to root it. Continue, it will reboot to system and prompt you to update su via play store.

You may have to flash each individually, in know when flashing 5.0.1 the script wouldn't work for me

The flash all rarely works. You can use something like Wugfresh's Nexus Root Toolkit, or follow these:

this looks like u will enter the Recovery mode with PowerButton -Volume, but with no recovery u end in fastboot.
U tried PowerButton +Volume? (DownloadMode)
u got the correct LG Driver on ur PC? http://oceanhost.eu/ed0bnrnghgef/LGUnitedMobileDriver_S51MAN312AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.12.3.exe.htm
After i got a real brick (bootloader crash) with my D802 i fixed it like this:
1. LG G2 Stock Firmware (Go Back to Stock)
- follow the kdz instruction
- Important, get the LG Driver new for ur PC!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
2.[TOOLS] One Click ROOT+TWRP Recovery for Lollipop Stock Firmware
- read and follow and u will have root+TWRP Recovery bumped after that
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-...ols-how-to-install-twrp-bump-d80230a-t3072186
3. get the JB Bootloader for D802
- install via recovery
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934533199
- reboot ur phone, get Custom Rom (D802) u want on ur SD and install via Recovery (Wipe Cache etc.)
looks like ur Bootloader is wrong/crashed and/or u dont got correct DRIVER (Fingerprint)
hi BFruchtfliege, thanks for your help.
- Drivers is OK
- when press POWER +VOLUME UP = enter fastboot
[490] FASTBOOT MODE STARTED
[570] UDC_START()
- LG FLASHTOOL
-TOT METHOD impossible, only this driver found in device manager
- One Click ROOT+TWRP Recovery for Lollipop Stock Firmware
- FASTBOOT JB-D802-BOOT-LOADER.zip
That looks really crazy with the "??????" thats not normal, What DesktopSystem u use?
If u cant handle point 1. from me u dont need 2. and 3. because u need point 1. ready.
Look in Forum for "brick D802" or like that.
U will find much, may there are other methods, that will help u and i dont know!
But i think, Driver isnt okay... or u got branded mobile... or u got no D802... or ur PC-OS occurs the prob.
Hope u can handle ur Phone. :fingers-crossed:
My english is pig bad, i think i spider

[SOLVED] Stuck in Fastboot, no DWL mode. I have the KDZ file [...]

FIXED. Was actually the correct KDZ. Extracted the bootloader files, flashed them with Fastboot, rebooted in Download Mode, flashed the KDZ with LG Flash Tool. "Worked". Except LG Flash Tool was jammed at 60% somehow ("Phone was disconnected", what the hell).
The user actually attempted to unplug his phone anyway and rebooted the LG. WORKED !!!
I actually have no idea what happened with the LG Flash Tool buggy software, but, back to stock =)
***
Hello,
Someone I know ended up with a Soft-Brick after using Autorec attempting to install TWRP.
Using a LG G2 D801 on Videotron carrier, Canadian. Many people were confused on the D801, which is possibly the same/similar as D803? Anyway, currently stuck on Fastboot Mode.
Similar to this thread right here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/help/fastboot-mode-download-mode-bricked-t2845921
The mistake: Autorec my LG G2 D801 with autorec D801 version unaware that Canadian D801 must be autorec'd by autorec D803 version.
Status of phone: Boots shows LG logo and goes immediately to black screen 'Fastboot mode started'.
Tried: Download mode attempts bring up the download mode logo for a sec and immediately the phone goes back to Fastboot mode started screen.

So I downloaded Autorec D803 instead. Extracted the APK file, I have:
aboot.img 1024 KB
boot.img 11 966 KB
laf.img 15 872 KB
layout1.bal 9 KB
loki_tool 75 KB
recovery.img 8 428 KB
So I did this:
Code:
fastboot erase recovery
fastboot erase laf
fastboot flash laf laf.img
Got a OKAY. But I still cannot boot into Download Mode, even by doing "fastboot reboot" and holding Volume Up, the phone returns to Fastboot Mode...
Should I erase and flash aboot and boot as well?
Then I should be able to access Download Mode and flash the KDZ with LGFlashTool 2014 without problem I guess...
Alternatively: I have download the KDZ file: D801V20E_00.kdz (I got it right here: http://click.xda-developers.com/api...smgdl.lgmobile.com/dn/downlo...801V20E_00.kdz )
Please confirm me if this file is correct. I was told that the D801 and D803 KDZ are compatible. Here's what a different forums says:
http://androidforums.com/threads/in...-back-to-stock-can-d801-803-videotron.871587/
no i do not have recovery i can access to the fastboot menu i tried to flash laf recovery boot and aboot files but it seems that no one work with my g2 do i have another solution?

All you should need is laf and aboot from the same firwmare package. The safest way to attempt download mode restore is to fastboot flash aboot and then fastboot boot laf which should start download mode. When laf is booted, it can sometimes result in a black screen where it appears it's not working but it actually is working in the background.
Just be sure you are downloading aboot and laf for your variant and watch the file size very closely after you download to verify it matches the size of the hosted file.

Turns out the kdz wasn't that hard to find. Appears that the D801V20D seems to be correct as Charel noted above. I extracted the aboot and laf from that package which should be correct for your Videotron.
https://copy.com/8tMwJzpfeksU
Again, to be as safe as possible...flash aboot and boot laf so...
fastboot flash aboot aboot.img
then...
fastboot boot laf.img
If the screen goes dark at that time, assume download mode is working and proceed to use LG Flash Tools. In a crisis you could instead fastboot flash laf laf.img but it's less safe. In the event there's an issue you could potentially lose fastboot mode which is your best (and potentially only) way out of your current situation.

I am confused on which file is correct. I managed to extract my KDZ file using LGFirmwareExtract.
Here's the file I have. Do note that the size from the KDZ package and the Autorec D803 APK are not similar!

Should I flash the laf.bin, aboot.bin, boot.img from the Autorec APK, or the KDZ file? Which one is correct ???
I would say I need to flash the files from KDZ, but please confirm this before I do so. I believe this is the correct KDZ file for Videotron, huh? LG G2 D801 (or D803. They seem similar) ?
Please confirm this, I would really appreciate
Thanks a bunch!

Need some advice for my xt1562

I'm new here, so sorry if this is a duff post.
I've done searches to no avail.
I bought my x play second hand. It's been rooted to a none stock android 7.0. I'm having issues with sd card being unrecognised. I've read that this could be a motherboard problem. I've checked it with a number of different cards that all work absolutely fine on other devices.
My question is, would it help if I returned my phone to stock then upgraded to the proper versions of android via the download direct to phone?
If so, is there an updated method? The one I tried to follow uses SDK but the instructions seem to be for an old version (it's a 2015 post) as the version of Android Studio I installed seems to be unrecognisable from what is being described. I'm not savvy enough with these systems to work out what I need to do instead.
Thanks in advance.
Another thought, would it be worth installing a different none stock ROM?

BTW, one question. How do you run that single batch file?
... restart phone to bootloader, connect to pc, and run this file.
Okay, I've now discovered that TWRP is already installed. Can I use any xt1562 zipped Rom or does it need to be specific to TWRP. I've put the zip on my phone ready to go and done a nandroid backup but wanted to check first before I hit install.
Thanks again

Moto G6 Plus - No bootable A/B slot, device not detected with adb.

Hi,
I installed the PPW29.116-20 FIRMWARE for pie 9, it was working fine until I uninstalled magisk and now it will only boot to Fastboot mode saying "No bootable A/B slot".
The problem however it the device it no longer detected in adb to reinstall. adb devices returns no devices. This is odd as it was working fine before.
I have tried with both moto and universal adb drivers, changed cables and even changed computers - nothing it making it appear.
Any help would be much appreciated
Use Fastboot!

Hi,
I installed the PPW29.116-20 FIRMWARE for pie 9, it was working fine until I uninstalled magisk and now it will only boot to Fastboot mode saying "No bootable A/B slot".
The problem however it the device it no longer detected in adb to reinstall. adb devices returns no devices. This is odd as it was working fine before.
I have tried with both moto and universal adb drivers, changed cables and even changed computers - nothing it making it appear.
Any help would be much appreciated

Requirements:
Fastboot (because you're in Fastboot mode, lol) download links for Windows, Linux, Mac.
fastboot images for your ROM e.g. from this thread
fastboot flash file (contains flash commands, see in thread above)
Just unpack the zip file then open cmd/terminal, navigate to that folder and enter:
Code:
fastboot devices
When output looks like this your phone is detected:
Code:
XXXXXXXXX fastboot
'XXXXXXXXX' is your phone's serial number.
Unpack and copy the images and flash file into the same folder as fastboot. The folder contains following files:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
On Windows double-click 'flashfileNoErase.bat' (ROM thread).
Check for errors, press enter and the phone will reboot.

i had the same issue happen to me i about freaked out because i thought i had really jacked my phone up but i found this app called Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant it is a life saver trust me. if this happens to you then just download this app and it will walk you through the rest it has a upgrade and a rescue option the rescue option reinstalls the stock rom and and restores evrything back to normal on your phone. definite must have when flashing roms to your phone. :good:

Phone of a friend suddenly died without any reason and wouldn't boot anymore. Tried this software out and it worked straight away. Requires a quick account registration however, but no biggie.
Thank you so much!
