Hello everyone !
So, I posted this on the distortion/crackling post but it seems it's a different problem, so I'd like to know if other Galaxy S4 users are experiencing the same thing.
The problem :
I experience stuttering in music, it skips some like a fraction of second of the song I'm listening to. It happens even if I'm not navigating through the phone (screen off).
Also, I experience music skipping with the stock player AND with Player Pro when playing FLAC tunes.
I don't seem to have distortion problems though.
The phone : Galaxy S4, I-9505, non rooted, barely have any apps installed (I got it last week and I'm not an app fanatic). I play music from the internal storage, not sdram.
What I've tried :
- Clearing RAM - doesn't particularly help, I it seems it stutters when the background stuff comes back (I have more stuttering for a while right after clearing RAM).
- Tried Power Amp - I seem to have less stuttering, but it's still quite present.
- Tried playing music without headphones - I seem to have less frequent stutters, but it still happens.
- Tried Player Pro - still stutters and I also have song skipping with FLAC.
Anyone knows where's this stuttering coming from ? And how to fix it ?
Thanks !
So, I tested some more and I get no stuttering when playing on speakers with Player Pro.
Weird little problem with my Galaxy S4, tried 3 different roms including stock 4.4.2.
Was wondering if someone knew of possible solutions.
videos freeze, audio keeps playing, then after a few seconds, the video resumes in fast forward, until it catches up with the audio.
It's nice that it forwards and catches up, but how can I prevent this?
At first I thought it was MX player, but I noticed it happened while using netflix as well.
Doesn't always happen, which is the annoying. I managed to watch 3 episodes of Dexter without a problem, then the 4th, problem.
On a different day, the first video I tried, it plays fine, then about 20 minutes into the video, freezes.
Aside from an Odin restore and wiping everything, does anyone have any suggestions on fixing video related problems on android?
Edit: Crap , it freezes when playing games too..GPU problems?
Hey guys!
So I recently got my Galaxy S5 4G+, but I've noticed an annoying issue. When watching a video on YouTube, most of the time the audio cuts out about halfway in. The video keeps playinf just fine, but without audio. The only way to fix it is to go out of the app, play some other sound (music player), then go back to YouTube.
This is really annoying me so I'd be glad if someone could help me with this
Thanks in advance!
Hi guys, I recently got an S7 Edge and it's been pretty great (apart from the one random reboot but I'm hoping that won't be a regular occurrence). I do have one annoying problem which is when I record audio or video there is this weird popping sound that sometimes happens... I'm not really sure how to describe it other than sounding like a weird echoey imbalance (like a robotic "womp" kind of sound), and when I play back on my phone I can hear it. I thought maybe it was the speakers but when I played it on my old phone I heard it too. One of the main reasons I got this phone was to film videos so this is really inconvenient and annoying. Has anyone else experienced something like this?
There's always something wrong with phones I buy... It's like I'm cursed :crying:
I'm having a similar problem while playing music to a Bluetooth speaker. In my car it works fine but with other ones it doesn't. It makes weird static at times. If I play music from my laptop or from the earlier s6 edge had no problems with this Bluetooth speaker. I tried clearing the cache of the Bluetooth sharing app etc. No luck. Problem persists.

My phone is doing the exact same thing. My wife's phone doesn't do this. I'm taking mine to the tmobile store tomorrow.

I just went to the Samsung store today and tried to reproduce it in-store and it wasn't happening. Went home, tried a million times, still not happening. Now I'm feeling pretty confused and not sure how it suddenly stopped happening...
Let me know what happens when you go to the tmobile store!
Hi,
I upgraded with the official OTA update and I am on BQ2C. Lately, I have been encountering odd behaviors when using the stock Samsung earbuds.
When the phone is in my pocket, and say I am on Spotify, the phone will suddenly start playing a YouTube videos, it will jump to another playlist and one time started a video (Duo) call.
Has anyone else experienced this?
