Hi,
It looks like my phone doesn't like ROMs above 4.2.2. All the ROMs i flashed, have a signal problem and occasionally, the WiFi doesn't work.
I've tried to change the modem but whatever version i try... i cannot change it. My baseband (XXUBMG7) is the same.
Now i have flashed via ODIN (as a last resort cause i didn't know what else to flash or try) and lost root and all, the official version available for my country (Romania) hoping for a resolution but... no chance :crying:.
As you can see in the picture... when i turn the screen on, i have no signal. Tho i can receive calls when my screen is off.
After a while my signal appears and i can make phone calls.
I can's stay like this... please help! Any suggestions ?
- Install Custom recovery (CWM or Philz Touch or TWRP) with Odin

- Shutdown ur phone and go to Download Mode
- Untick Autoreboot
- Flash modem -> HERE via Odin (button PDA/CP)

Okey listen mate , Download and extract this file http://www.mediafire.com/downloady/kyx5khowhd7yzel/I9505XXUEMKF_MODEM.zip When your done "Turn Of your Phone manually" Remove your battery for 10 sec and put it back ! Press and hold Power+Volume Down In order to reach Download mode , Open odin select Phone/CP (Find the file you extract) put both cable and (check odin if it says com4 with blue color on it) press start and let it do its job , once done your phone will reboot and remove the cables. Now go to your phone setting > More> Device info> and check the baseband if it change. when you are flashing a modem, flash twice the same modem and then reboot manually
Hey guys,
I flashed a UGNG1 rom, but I noticed GPS was not working.
I decided to flash NG1 modem, but I overread, that I need new bootloader. (Phone number was unknown, imei and baseband was shown correctly as ng1)
So to avoid more trouble I flashed NG1 stock rom with odin.
After this, baseband was unknown, IMEI too.
I flashed EFS backup before upgrade and flashed this EFS no loop anti brick zip by firasusman, no change, still everything unknown
Anyone has idea?

Because your IMEI and baseband is null, try to reflash the modem.
Follow this guide to make the modem to stick. You may need to repeat flashing 2-3-4 times.
Code:
• Switch off your device completely.
• Connect to PC and power on your phone in Download Mode (Volume Down + Home + Power).
• Start Odin v3.09 (be sure it recognised your phone and show ID:COM port number).
• Untick Auto Reboot.
• Flash MODEM.BIN (CP slot - unzip it first).
• Reboot once again into Download Mode using Vol Down + Home + Power.
• Tick Auto Reboot and flash NON-HLOS.BIN.
• If this doesn't work, try repeating the flash process again while rebooting manually and with Auto Reboot option turned off.
Hey guys, I did a search on the topic but to no avail.
I have a pretty specific probably and am willing to pay a few bucks to anyone who can help me fix this issue.
I work for a mobile repairs place and we have an S4 9505 that a customer bought in, he took it upon himself to flash the latest firmware from sammobile which has resulted in the WiFi not working, you hit the button in the notifications panel and it goes half lit but not connected and never moves past that point. I tried flashing a different firmware and the WiFi fix from the WiFi fix and firmware post and that works initially but after one or two connections to a WiFi, it greys out again.
Thanks in advance.
Anytime there's wifi connect problem I've found that its the kernel.
Well, it is official firmware so there shouldn't be any software bugs. Unless, maybe, he flashed the wrong firmware on the wrong phone model.
check the wi-fi mac addres or make and efs restore, that happend when the files in efs/wifi/ where messed with, and thats a bad thing, flash a custom rom or flash a custom kernel see if it works
@Nationalmaverick
Hello,
You should try to flash the latest stock Lollipop firmware available.
-Download Odin 3.10 here
-Download and install USB drivers (skip this if you already have Kies or drivers installed)
-Download the firmware I9505XXUHOB7 here
Open Odin3.ini (found in extracted Odin package) and edit PhoneBootUpdate from 0k to 1, save and close. Then:
Extract downloaded firmware
Download and extract .pit file from the attached zip
Open Odin 3.10, choose PIT and load the extracted file
Load following files from extracted firmware: BL in BL, AP in AP, CP in CP and CSC in CSC
In Options, tick Repartition & untick Autoreboot
Put the device in download mode: power off->Volume down + power key->confirm with Volume up at Warning screen
Press Start
Once done pull battery out and put it back, then press and keep pressed Volume up + power key (you'll see a blue text, "Recovery booting"). Once in recovery (navigate with Volume up/down & power key to confirm) choose "Wipe data/factory reset" and confirm with "Yes", then choose "Reboot system"
Now your WiFi should work

Nougat is still not available for your country..So you have flashed latest stock 6.0.1 firmware using odin? Still you are not getting network signal? After flashing stock firmware don't restore your efs, it will be restored automatically after flashing...Now just again flash the stock 6.0.1 available on sammobile and after flashing when you see Samsung logo, simply press volume down+power button now your screen will turn off..immediately Press volume up+power+home button simultaneously untill you see Samsung galaxy logo, now release keys and you will boot into stock recovery..From there choose wipe data/factory reset option..After reset, reboot your phone..And see if singal back again or not?
