SD Card on SGN10.1

Hello,
I have several questions
(1)
I have Galaxy Note 10.1. I noticed that there's a partition called "sd card" I think this is not the external sdcrd but rather an internal memory partition. Can somebody verify ?

Also, I am looking to buy Sandisk 64Gb micro sdcard to be use on my GN10.1 (SanDisk Ultra 64 GB MicroSDXC Class 10 UHS-1 Memory Card with Adapter (SDSDQU-064G-AFFP-A) ) , does this work on this tablet ?

and is there a way to use this 64Gb drive to mount as "sd card" partition ?

1. The sd card partition is the internal memory, so if you have a 16 GB note, then you will have a 16 GB "sd card" partition.
2. Works perfectly in mine
3. When you insert it, it gets mounted into "ext sd card" I don't know if it's possible to change that or even why you would want to

Ah another thing I love about this tablet is that all the internal memory full 16gb can be used for apps etc, unlike my previous note phone.

The reason I want to mount external micro sdcard as internal memory sdcard is to save space, I have lots of apps, games on my tab.

It should be noted that you can store stuff on the external sd card but running apps from the external sd card in a non-rooted state is another matter. AFAIK it can't be done.

Thanks for all your replies. So is it better if I root my devices? haven't done any rooting on any of my android devices, so im kinda hesitant. Can you tell me how to root my devices in safest way?

Method 2 from the rooting guide. Don't forget to run triangleaway after to reset your flash counter... All instructions are in the flash guide in developement forum...

[Q] Issue with 64GB SD card in Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500

I own Samsung Galaxy S4 I9500 and it is rooted. I recently purchased a class 10 Sandisk Micro SD card with 64 GB capacity. I was very happy that I did but my happiness did not last long when I have come to know that 3rd party apps do not have write permission in Kitkat. After some research I was successful to make the SD card writable to 3rd party apps by modifying the permissions.xml file.
Everything seems to be fine at this time but it was not actually. The SD card when seen under storage in settings would show me that it is mounted with 62.5 GB capacity and 60 GB free. But when I try to browse the files in SD card, there are nothing. Apps saved in SD card do not open and I am also unable to capture images from camera to SD card storage.
I thought may be unmounting the SD card and mounting it back would work and it worked but after a while the same problem. My device shows that it has mounted an SD card but cannot access anything saved in it. So, I have to unmount and mount SD card every time and this is very much annoying.
Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

Is thd s.d exfat format ? Try to format from win p.c. and see if it's works.if yes ,try in the phone.if not
try folder mount from play store.not all the app works on external s.d.

Yes. It is Ex FAT format. Which format should I format it to? Ex FAT or just the FAT format.
It is not about applications. The card just gets undetected after some time and nothing can be accessed including music and images. I have to unmount it and mount again for the device to detect the SD card.

Format your SD Card on your phone its self. Go to settings, storage and than SD Card and format it.

[Q] Micro SD HC card suddenly stopped working

i have an imation 16gb sdhc memory card for my samsung galaxy y. one night i woke up and it appears to be my micro sd card is unreadable by any of my computers and my phones. is there any way to fix this?

Today lots of SD cards are getting corrupted I have a 4,8 and 2 GB SD cards one day they all got corrupted I tried every single thing to recover it its no use

Micro SD Card issues

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 which I recently upgraded to the official Lollipop 5.0.1 update. I also added a new Samsung 64 GB (Class 10) Micro SD Card. When I use the Micro SD Card in a card reader in Windows 8, I can easily add / delete files without any problems. When I use the Micro SD Card in the Samsung Galaxy S4, it works fine for a while, then suddenly files and folder automatically disappear or files become corrupt; photos clicked with the camera disappear instantly. I am not sure if the problem lies with the Micro SD Card, the phone, the OS or some app.
Please could someone help!

I would suggest to format the card in your phone (if not already done). And then try it again.

I found that you cannot even use the sd card as storage for apps with the 5.0.1 rom this is a issue for me as far as the sd card corrupting files im not sure i am using a 16 gig and i had to set everything manually to save to sd card or move it over myself such as the camera and downloads, but for apps not a chance

This is also the case on KitKat.

CM12 has the Move apps to sd feature.

Samsung Sd card won't format in cyanogen 13

Hi guys I learnt the hard way that I can't use my Samsung 64Gb sd card on the cyanogen 13 unofficial Rom.
Firstly I hadn't read anywhere that I had to remove the sd card when flashing the Rom only to be stuck on a frozen boot until I thought what do I have to lose, let me just yank the thing out and voila! The phone booted four set up.
After that I inserted the sd card in the hope that i can format it and use on my new room as portable storage but No luck as my phone just loses it .
Does this not function at all or is there a work around to use an sd card or it needs any specific permissions to recognize it?
