And if i connect my phone to the computer it wont reconize it...
now what?
Edit: oh i can start in download mode
Just flash to stock firmware using ODIN and then flash to Darky's rom
thanks! i fixed my phone
Hey Guys,
So i decided i wanted to try out ICS on my Galaxy S. I had Darkys GB rom and it was running nicely but wanted to try something new. So i downloaded F4K r4 Rom and proceeded to flash it from CWM. The flash was successful and i rebooted the phone. Now its stuck in a bootloop (Semaphore splash screen) and i cannot get back into CWM or get into download mode. When i try to get into download mode, it does from the Samsung screen straight to the Semaphore screen, blinks once then will reboot if i keep holding the buttons. Same for recovery mode.
Any ideas???
Cheers
Travis
pull your battery, then replace and boot into download, flash semaphore .tar with Odin, should get your recovery back

keep trying different button combinations, ie. Power+v/down then home etc, also try leaving battery out for half an hour
When you do get back into cwm and start flashing again. Remember, bootloops are often caused by not clearing/wiping cache(s) from recovery console after flashing.

Thanks guys. I did try all button combinations and other stuff to no avail.
In the end I decided to create one of those USB Jigs and that did the trick
Hi All,
I need your help. I downloaded the latest update for the S4 this morning after i clicked yes for the phone to reboot. It didn't turn back on. Everytime I try to turn it on, it vibrates but it doesn't show the logo. I also tried entering the recovery mode or download mode but there's nothing on the screen. I also tried removing the battery for several minutes and then tried the things i said above.
Is there any other way I can boot this or reformat my phone? Please help.
Thank you very much in advance
Same here.. I had the same problem.. I did try reset it and go to recovery mode, once on recovery mode, i can choose any option because it automatically goes back to install the update. And then after installation it stuck at the boot screen again and can't turn on. I had my phone rooted before but I already flash my phone back to stock. During the period where i root my phone i never install any custom ROM and whatsoever..

What I would do is go to ebay or online stores and buy a USB JIG it works perfect on Samsung Galaxy S4
and other android phones. The price is right too, anywhere from $1.00 to $5.00 including shipping.
Here is a link worth looking at:
https://www.google.com/search?q=andr...icial&tbm=shop
JIGS are made for issues just like the ones you and @lasallegreen are experiencing.
All you need to do with the jig is first remove the battery from your phone for
20 seconds and replace it, then plug the USB jig into the usb port of the phone.
Wait a couple seconds or so and you will see the download mode screen.
Unplug the usb jig and load/open odin and after putting the stock rom in the
pda slot in odin connect usb cable from phone to computer.
Make sure the [COM:xx] lights up in Odin and click START.
Once odin successfully flashes the official stock rom the
phone will again be in perfect condition ready to use.
Your phone is NOT hard bricked, but most likely it is soft bricked meaning that it can be fixed to
come back to life after Odin flashing the official Samsung S4 stock firmware/rom which you can
find and download from http://SamMobile.com by searching by the model number of your phone.
Good luck!
Will try this method.. Thank you very much for your kind reply.. Will let you know of the outcome..

i was able to flash the stock rom using odin to see if that is the problem. I was successful in flashing but there's still nothing on my screen.
update: when i leave it for a few hours or so, there are times that the screen turns on and then it boots normally but if you reboot it's back to its frozen state. I hope someone can help me with this.
Hi guys i think ive screwed up here massively. I was running stock lollipop on my note 3 and i attempted to gain root using odin and cf auto root hlte hltexx smn9005. After Odin said PASS i unplugged it but i may have done it too soon (not sure). Now when i turn it on it appears to automatically attempt to boot in to recovery over and over. I've removed the battery and tried to boot in to recovery and download holding all the button combinations and it doesn't boot long enough to get into any mode. Any advice to fix or is it completely bricked?

To root you need to flash twrp. Then flash supersu.zip. Don't think cf auto root working with lollipop.
So now try to flash twrp 2.8.5. If your phone boots successfully into twrp, flash supersu2.4.6.zip which your can find it by google.
If your phone still doesn't boot, odin whole firmware.

Did you try pulling the battery? When using Odin the best (safest) way to do it is pull the battery (without the USB cable plugged in ) wait 10 secs or so then put it back in and hold down the DL mode keys. There seems to be a fundamental difference between a hot boot into DL and a physical restart via battery removal.
Happened to me the other day too. Just hold volume down + power + home and THEN plug in the battery. It worked like a charmo for me.
It worked
Wow battery out then insert worked!!! So stoked. You guys are awesome i thought the phone was gone so i went out and got a note 4 on my plan as i was out of contract lol. Oh well all good new phone and i can get the note 3 on ebay. Cheers guys!!!
hi,I have problem .I can go to recovery mode and download mode, but I cant flash any custom rom and official firmware as well.
Somebody can help please? I have SM -N910F.Thanks
Hey there.
You're giving us very little to go by here. Are there any error messages? Does the phone boot normally, meaning that you're only unable to flash? Have you flashed a custom recovery? Are you using Kies or Odin to flash official firmware?
yes I flashed twrp recovery via odin and I have stock 5.0.1 . I had bigger problem, the phone did not boot.Logo Samsung showed up,and than just black screen. after rebooting same .I vent to servis place and they reinstall stock rom 5.0.1.And he said that was difficult. Now phone work, but not so well, reboot and reboot. cuple times per day.I dont now what to do with that, worry do something with that.
sometimes ,when I turn phone on,it go to dowload mode and there is the sign phone cannot boot properly, something like that.
