Hi
Just installed X rom and having few issues.
First thing. The brightness setting is not coming in notification panel even though it's selected as on.
Also I have 2 settings icon there may be because I have an additional launcher?
Last thing. My notification panel icons are all black and white so when I turn something on an off I can't tell is there a way to change the colours of the icons etc on notification panel
hey there,
i guess you talk about the x note rom.
the brightness thing never happend to me, used built 18 and it works fine, try flash it again.
i got 2 settings icons as well but it wouldnt annoy me to much thats why i never searched for any solution, i guess thats normal.
for the quicksettings on the notification panel, that happend to me as well, you can change the settings by going to xnote control panel and then x note color mods.
just play around with the colours and you can customize them plus find out if they re toogled on or off.
hope i could help a lil.

is there any way to remove the clock from the notification bar? if your have something like beautiful widgets running it looks almost stupid having 2 clocks there. or at least have the option in settings to keep the clock or remove the clock?
i can understand the other aspect of when your in applications people would like to see the time in the notification area. but i just wana see if i miss it or not.
i gave it a quick google, and most of the responses were fairly old and for different handsets. just wondering if it is possible?
im running SuperE 1.0.1 on a 32A, cheers!
something to try.
check your spareparts app (mine is ver. 2.1_update1) it has user UI tweak at the bottom.
Clock can be set to hidden. (may not work)
while your are there, make the clock color to match your status bar. In case the hide clock part didn't work. (try transparent as well)
yeah in cyanogen's latest rom he includes a modded spareparts app that lets you control this. maybe you can rip it out of his rom and put it into yours if your version isnt the same. maybe can you download it from the market as well, not sure if that version is up to date.
thanks buddy! had no idea i should even look in there =)
the hide clock option doesnt work for some reason, even after rebooting. but changing the transparency to nothing hides it.
only thing is now it leaves an ugly gap where the clock used to be lol. i need to try find a way to remove it completely!

I tried hiding mine as well one day (a week ago maybe?), and it didn't work. Then yesterday I noticed, out of the blue, there was no clock in the notification bar. LoL So it did remove it, eventually.
it works just fine you'll just have to reboot a couple times
rightly so! i was wrong before, it does work. like losinc said u just need to reboot a couple of times. the changing of colour of the clock works too. just took a few times to get it right =)
thanks for ur help guys!
i had problems changing colors in cm 5.0.7 so i updated to 5.0.8t1 and it worked at once
Mod. edit: not dev related, moved to general
I love the quick open of quick settings by sliding the finger from a side of the status bar and the customization of the tiles. I also like the LED while the phone is charging (I couldn't make lightflow work :S). The problems is that I only need those features, and I prefer using stock ROM instead of installing a whole new one.
Are these features available in CM and other ROMs as mods for the stock ROM? Thank you.
Some reply...

I use lightflow and had a bit of trouble setting it up originally. If you try and enable light-flow in accessibility when the app prompts you it wont work. It always force closed for me. You need to install it, then go settings and enable it manually, give it a try.
I'm running Liquid Smooth, and it does have the option for the led to light up when charging, orange while charging, and green when it hits 90%.
For the quick toggles you can set quick pull-down, so that you always pull-down settings from one side. I personally like to have quick-settings always come up when there are no notifications, and i have swipe gesture set in nova to pull-down the quick-settings in case there are notifications and i want to get to the toggles quickly.
How I've been some help. I have found the ROM to have really good battery life too, i get around 4hrs screen on time, usually set to 100%.
Hey buddies,
I got a Nexus 4 last month, and I have 2 things that I guess that could be better.
1- The LED notification is very inconstant. And the light is so weak. It is not good as Galaxy S3 Led for example.
2- The vibration system is so smooth. Everytime when my phone vibrate, I can feel it.
3- I cant set a diferent wallpaper for lockscreen and background screen? Because when I set a new wallpaper, it sets for both screens. I want to set diferents wallpapers for each screen.
Do you know some application or mod to enhance these "problems"?
Thank you!
Hi, Im new to XDA , so I could not ask this directly on PA's N4 thread
I cannot, for the life of me, get the colors to change on the navbar (the back home and recent) softkeys. I Have trie doing into AppByColor, and changing apps individually and even tried changing the global settings but nothing works. I just want to make them pink ALWAYS. I went and bought SoftKeyZ but I ended up completely losing my nav and status controls and had to re-flash the rom...
Any help would be awesome!
Hello all!
I'm coming from a s5 mini and the one thing I was really sad to let go was the notification led. It's a great feature and I really miss it.
Always on display can do somewhat the same thing, but not that good. I often leave my phone on a table and walk around and I want to be able to just glance at my phone and see if I have any notifications. Yes, always on display shows notification, but it has a clock and 2 lines of text above them, making it harder to distinguish if you actually have notifications from some meters away.
I was thinking if I could change the color of notifications. The clock could stay white, but have a green notification for a miss call for example, that way the notification will pop out and catch your eye.
Also it would be perfect if I could assign different colors for different apps, that way it would act like the beloved notification led..
thats not possible for now but if it interests you heres and an apk that will make aod display notifications only , just install choose analog reboot and its done https://1drv.ms/u/s!AlNdpKNMp2XWkYY01k9kg3-Ax78rjg

thank you, thank you, thank you :good:
I just found this thread. That sounds exactly what I want - I dont want the AOD on all the time - just to give me notifications.
The link above is now dead - Any chance it could be made available again?
EDIT: Probably should add - would this work on an a5 2017 running Oreo?
after quite a lot of searching i found the original thread about it , just scroll down a little until you see downloads and select just notifications , but there are more greatt aod things there. https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/themes/root-customise-display-updated-t3688153
edit: doesnt work on oreo
Ok thanks. I have oreo. Doesn't seem to work.
