My question is Why does the Pac Man rom only work on my phone, i have tried cw11, avatar, slim kat, omnirom, and etc. None of them worked but pac man rom. I even tried twrp and cwm. Currently using twrp. When i install the rom it goes through and stops at updating partition or either status errors i even tried to edit the script file. Please help me out Android to Android.
Can't tell what exactly is happening, but make sure your recovery is up-to-date (CWM >6.0.4.x, TWRP >2.6.3.x). Also match ROMs with their corresponding BLs (JB BL/KK BL).
Please offer more info, e.g. what BL are you on, what ROMs are you trying to flash (filename) and what status error message are you getting.

Maybe flash stock KK via RSD and then start everything over (back up internal storage first)? I'm out of clues.

For KitKat you need to flash an updated recovery. Check the thread.

Man!!! READ forum before posting!!
I did not realize you were boot locked.
Before this thread gets moved or deleted: you must tell us that whether you have unlocked your bootloader. If you haven't unlocked it, then you're stuck with SafeStrap and you should give up on ANY AND ALL custom ROMs beyond Android 4.2. Otherwise, if you have an unlocked BL, just fastboot flash a custom recovery and flash any ROM from there.
And stop posting the same question everywhere!

Sounds like you tried to flash some ROMs that aren't compatible with SS.

You're telling me I can run 4.2 roms in safestrap with a 4.1.2 base?
The only 4.2 ROM that worked was a CM10 port. It's running around in this forum somewhere.
You mean CM10.1(4.2)? or CM10 (4.1.2)

No, I mean everything Android 4.2+ will not run, including 4.2, 4.2.1, 4.2.2 and so on. I should've been clearer when describing. Just try that CM10 (Android 4.1.x).

There was a 10.1 in development for SS, but the BL unlock came out and they shifted focus away from SS.

Hi,
I just got a new phones so I decided it'd be cool to root my old RAZR M. I got the root and unlocked bootloader, and then I went in to try and install a custom rom. It ended failing and it gets stuck on the "WARNING BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED" screen. I'm able to go into fastboot and recovery.
I did some looking around, and I found that you can use RSD to get stock ROMs back. I tried downloading the 4.4.2 ROM from here, but it for some reason ends up going down to 0b/s and then says network error, so I tried the 4.1.2. It downloaded, and i went in using RSD to flash it, but it says that gpt_main0.bin failed and it stops. Since I did that, whenever I go into recovery it just freezes and I can't do anything.
Anyone have any idea what I can do to either get the 4.1.2 one working and root that or get the 4.4.2 one downloaded and try that?
Thanks
EDIT: Got 4.4.2 loaded back and did research and got CM11 loaded. Thanks anyways!
Please tell us what stock version you're on and what recovery and ROM you installed. It sounds like you've combined a JB BL ROM with a KK BL phone or vice versa.

I'm on 4.4.2 stock, the recovery I have is TWRP. I tried to install CarbonRom. I guess i should have done more research for ROMs.
Also, I've been able to keep a download of stock 4.4.2 rom going and it's ~85% done so I'm hoping it's able to finish this time.
EDIT: Got 4.4.2 downloaded and installed using RSD. Going to get it all rooted again. Does CyanogenMod 11 work with version 183.46.10.XT907.Verizon.en.us?
Thanks

Yes it does, however CM11 for KK BL (moto_msm8960) still has these nasty WiFi and GPS bugs. If you want a bug-free CM11, you'll have to follow the guide in General section to downgrade to JB (98.30.1) and then flash CM11 for JB BL (moto_msm8960_jbbl). Don't worry, if you've unlocked your BL, then nothing would relock it, not even downgrading.

I have a problem....even dought I boot on Partition 1, just created, it says :
E: Unable to mount '/systemorig'
Worst part is...it let me do the installing procces of the Hyperdrive+RLS9.1+S4+Final and then...doesn't boot.
My Phone is : S4 Active SGH-i537 from At&T Unlocked and rooted.
Android 4.4.2
UCUAMF1
UCUCNE3
Can you help me please?
Thanks in advanced!
Try to odin to stock (make sure you get the correct files), root, install SafeStrap following the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448942
After that you need to flash the rom, kernel modules (you can get them here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2447764), then after that you flash SuperSU (if you don't have that file then here it is: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053 DO THESE STEPS I JUST SAID IN THE SAME ORDER LISTED HERE: Flash ROM, correct kernel modules, and then SuperSu.)
If the same error ocurrs then it's most likely the rom just isn't compatible with you device. Also, make sure it's an S4 Active rom not a normal S4 rom.
NOTE: I do not own an Active, but doing some 5 minute research is what helped me figure this out for your device.
Ok, I´ll try! Sorry, but everything I did before, unsuscefully is the result of many hours of forum research......problem is....I don´t know a lot about this....yes, probably shouldn´t mess with it, but truth is I live in Argentina, and wifi + bluetooth stop working with stock rom....no matter how many times I hard reset it so I figured changing rom might solve it........
I went to through the same you're going through with my S4. I ended up flashing the wrong Odin files like 5 times before I figured out what file to flash, lol. Glad to help

after you flash with safetrap, does the kernel have to be flash with safetrap or with Odin? i did root my GS4 using Odin and have the I337_NJ4_Stock_Kernel. can i use that one or do i need to download any other tipe of kernel??
You need to flash the kernel modules via SafeStrap. The NJ4 modules (and other modules) can be downloaded from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2616221 navigate down to the KitKat Install instructions, look for step 4 (Install ATT Kernel Modules), in the first sentence click the hyper link redirecting you to AndroidFileHost, and then download the corresponding Kernel Modules to FLASH DIRECRLY AFTER EVERY ROM YOU FLASH.
THE FILES LINKED ARE FOR NORMAL S4 ONLY.
Sent from my SGH-I337 using XDA Free mobile app
Those two things are different...
You can only flash the nj4 kernel via Odin using the ap slot. I'm not sure if safestrap can flash kernels, because we're not meant to or we would be using twrp.
The nj4 modules should be flashed along with what ROM you're using during use of safestrap.
I was referring to the stock kernel modules (what I linked him/her to) needed to be flashed after the ROM each time. Also in SafeStrap, can't you flash stock kernels? I'm pretty sure you can. If not then I'm just crazy lol.

My Safestrap isný working properly, when I make the slot-1 it shows, :
E: Unable to mount '/systemorig'
Then When I wipe same thing, even that I boot in it
Worst thing....it tells me everything is done, I flash the rom and of course then...never starts....
And wich Rom could you finally use? My Phone is : S4 Active SGH-i537 from At&T Unlocked and rooted.
Android 4.4.2
UCUAMF1
UCUCNE3
Thanks!!
You need to use the Stock slot. Any other slot causes errors on most roms, and how do you have two bootloader versions? I'm thinking that MF1 is your BL and NE3 is baseband or something.
Sent from my SGH-I337 using XDA Free mobile app
Do not use Safestrap...you have an unlocked bootloader and have no need for it.
It will not work well with an unlocked phone like you have as the recovery is designed for locked US based carriers.
I think he means that he's SIM unlocked. I'm not sure they have an unlocked BL for the Active. If they do, then he should go ahead and use TWRP or CWM.

ok I just got a razor m on ebay.
it was on JB
I rooted it with towelroot3
unlocked the boot loader with motopocolypse
but the recoveries I see are for kitkat.
i did a check for software updates and it found one and down loaded it successfully
updated is successfully and i am not on
system version 98.18.78.xt907.verizon.us
android version 4.1.2
kernel 3.0.31-g101ca72
build 9.8.1q-78
your device is up to date!
all the recoveries are i find kikat
my goal is to get this to cm12 or at least cm11
so I think I need to get to kitkat should I just get cm11 and flash the whole thing. is that right.
Wrong. You can't get CM11 installed without a proper recovery, and since you don't know where to get a JB recovery, I advise simply going for KitKat.
Use RSD Lite to flash this thing up to stock KitKat (you've unlocked your BL already so don't worry), then do the recovery stuff as you know. More guides are available in the General sticky post.
Remember, once you get to stock KitKat, any ROM you flash from then on should be for "moto_msm8960" instead of "moto_msm8960_jbbl". Especially for CM11 and CM12.

before you posted I had already installed the latest cm 11 for the razr M (not the unified one) and it seems to work fine for the 12 hours I had it.
but I followed your recommendation anyway.
i couldn't get rsd lite to work but I just extracted the images from the zip and used the xml to create a proper bat script to mfastboot them manually
that got me to kitkat while still being unlocked bootloader just like i expected. (its nice not to be a total noob)
then i found out the speaker on the back (behind the broken glass which i planned to replace) didn't work.
headphone and earpeice work fine vibration work fine.
it will go up on ebay, or i will keep it for some other use.
