Boost Mobile uses CDMA. For your XT1034 you need a UMTS AWS firmware like falcon_umts.AWSRetail.en.CA or falcon_umts.AWSRetail.en.US

I suggest to read a lot here on XDA forums before you do anything.
I've never heard there was no KitKat update for a certain model. It will most likely get the update in the near future and you don't have to do anything. I'm curious what your carrier is...
And if there really is no update for your carrier's model you can flash an other XT1034 firmware via fastboot, like the ones in my previous post

Hello, at&t has pulled the update due to glitches. Some people reported that their phones wouldn't even turn on. Also you can't update your at&t galaxy s4 on Kies because at&t put a block on that... The reason they did that is so they can add all of their NSA crapware to your phone and lock it so you can't modify it as easy. If you really want 4.3 I would install a custom ROM. I'm still on 4.2.2 rooted. 4.3 isn't all that good anyway. Nothing new.

I did the same thing as you set it to 2015 and it let me look for updates, but it says update interrupted. Idk why but yeah. Maybe because I'm rooted idk. I wasn't updating anyway until a root method came out for mk2. Hopefully you can get it. If not take it to Best Buy and they can hook you up.

i just checked mine and it still says i have to wait over 24hrs, so even tho my time and date are back to normal the update software still picks up when i fast forwarded my time/date. just a thought here, but i think the only way to reset that could be to flash back to stock with odin, but you would lose all data doing this. so its either probably doing that or keep trying to fast forward your time and checking.

rooting alone has nothing to do with getting, or not getting updates.
I went from 4.3 to 4.4.2 rooted, and everything.
What matters is things like /system changes, recovery, and sometimes kernel (if it changes).
And even recovery is not really an issue (at least with twrp), you just boot into twrp, find the ota update in /cache, and manually flash it, clear caches, reboot, easy peasy.
As for /system changes, just flash a stock system.img, get the update, and you're golden.
Or you can just wait till someone releases a flashable 4.4.3 and use it.

Why not? If you have the bluetooth wakelock bug, then 4.4.3 update is rumoured to fix this, and other system bugs. You could also download then share the update with devs so they could make their ROM's more stable. Just a thought.

Sprint has begun seeding 4.4.3 to N5 users via OTA, so it is possible (however unlikely) that AT&T are seeding to G2 users...

The newer phones like G Pro 2 or Flex doesn't even have 4.4.3. In fact, only Nexus now is getting it. So yes maybe next year AT&T will seed it.

I've tried the KK safestrap on Jasmine 6.1 (5.0 LP) and as far as I can tell it doesn't work for me. The developer has stopped the support of it so our only hope is a tool to make it compatible or perhaps someone else to pick up the development of satestrap at some point if possible?

And since SS is loaded before the OS booted, then if there was a problem booting such as a bootloop, SS would allow you to recover a backup. Flashfire only works if the OS is able to load. Most important to me is the ability to access the OS files via the file manager and rename files. Many times when trying a MOD you may rename the original files and the new files will cause a bootloop. In this case SS will allow you to restore the backup files. Flashfire is useless for this.
Fireflash is sketchy at best. Lol.
But SS doesn't and for the note 3 prolly will never work on LP
