How do you remove the annoying Android Wear continuous notification? I hate apps that just sit in the status bar giving useless information like "Connected", if I need to know if it's connected I can just look at the watch!
Samsung Galaxy S5 with Stock and Xposed Framework
LG G Watch
I haven't tested this but maybe this would work for you:
http://repo.xposed.info/module/de.defim.apk.notifyclean
The icon is needed to always be showing so that the process is never garbage collected and thrown out. The watch software needs to always be running to keep a constant connection with the phone.
I'm not sure about you, but the icon actually doesn't show up in my status bar minimized, but it does show when I pull the status bar down which is fine with me.
I thought I would try hiding with gravitybox but I couldn't find it listed. I would prefer not to have it listed in the dropdown
Long press the notification ,then you will see the ''application's notification'' , enter it,then cancer the notification
Thanks all, I really appreciate the help!

Hey all, I'm looking for a weather app or module that will give me either a constant notification (like the google weather card but just needs to be constant) or sits somewhere in the quick settings (like the one integrated in CM12 is exactly what I would like). A lot of the apps I have tried do give the constant notification BUT they also keep an icon in the status bar which I am trying to avoid. A small handful, such as BrightWeather, offer the option to hide it and is the current one I am using so far. So does anyone have any suggestions on this?
I think amber has option for blank notification icon
Yeah it does, the only problem with Amber is that despite setting refresh interval to 3 hrs, I wakes my device a lot more often than that. I think it had woken to do something >15 times/hour. Tried to go through all the settings and not really sure what it was doing, but the battery drain was too significant
i am enclosing two screenshots to show that there is only one thing in the corner that seems to be on. also nothing in the notifications bar except text me and battery saver and i tried deleting both of them and the notification sound still comes through every 5 to ten minutes, any ideas? does this symbol look familiar to anyone? thanks
What's Running
Hi gorelow,
Can't say that I have seen the symbol before myself, and it certainty doesn't look like a default android symbol. Looks like it's for a 3rd party app installed on the phone. Can you remember when you first saw the symbol and if you had installed any apps around the time of it appearence. Also might be a good idea to look at your current 3rd party running apps in settings and just force close a few, that you think could be linked to the notification and if you close the app that the notification is linked to it would dissappear telling you what app.
Merik
You can try to deactivate the notifications for one app by another in settings-->apps-->appXy-->show notifications and see when the notification disappears. Then you'll know which app is responsable for this icon. Hope this helps.

You're referring to the single icon on the left of your notification bar? Looks to me like the icon for Notification Toggles app - you can change the visibility of it in the settings for the app.
Thank you. It got rid of the icon. I've never experienced that app making a notification sound. I'll keep trying to figure out how sonething that doesnt show up can mak e a notification sound. Thanks again
Hey this question seems simple initially, but how do you disable SystemUI notifications? I'm talking about that grey notification that shows up on the lower part of your screen right over your keyboard. Whenever I start downloading something or quickly switch apps, it always seems to pop up and display some stupid arbitrary message. It's incredibly ANNOYING when you need to type something quickly and it's covering your keyboard. Does anyone know how to disable this? I've been using Android for over 5 years and I still haven't been able to figure this out lol.
I'm not sure if you're rooted or anything and I haven't tried it directly, but you can try the EnhancedToast Xposed Module. By description, it'll log the messages that display and then you can disable them as you see fit. Give it a look here EnhancedToast I hope this helps!
Hi there...
Before to ask I must said that I have done a huge research and check every post mentioning status bar issues, I even look through the Home screens post and similar post where members where showing their home screens to check if I could see the location icon in any status bar.
I have a S7 edge with HydraRom 1.4, Xposed is installed and the Flat Style Bar Indicator mod is there too working wonderfully but, I can't get to manage to see the Location icon on the status bar when I activate it and I have try all.
I only use Location active when I go out in night time to do Astro Photography, together with some apps helps me to do the polar alignment of my tracking mounts. I want to see the icon on the status bar to be sure it is active without the need to unlock the phone and drag the status bar down to check, I am starting to be afraid it is not possible like the sync icon which is not showing neither but, that one is not bothering much.
Any help will be appreciated!!
Hi all,
A newbie question to the Android experts. I have read in many forums that a rooted device is needed in order to change and/or customize status bar icons. However, Samsung Good Lock app was able to do this on an un-rooted device. Good Lock app provided AOSP status bar icons and I loved it. The stock Samsung network and WiFI icons are super hard to see and quite frankly ugly. The wifi icon is half the size because of the ridiculous up/down arrows underneath the icon.
I have been looking for a replacement app like Good Lock but no luck. I tried Status and Material Status apps but they are buggy and don't work all the time. More over, they render another status bar on top of an existing one.
How was Good Lock app able to do this on a non-rooted device? I presume it was able to replace the SystemUI?What does it take to build an app like Good Lock? Anyone knows how it was accomplished or if it's possible?
Thanks for your time.
