- Put your download fonts to /sdcard/fontchanger
- App drawer - Font Changer - choose your desire font - reboot
- Done.
6. Tips for battery life
- Save battery life here
- Other tip Precise Volume Control, Smooth Scrolling and Battery Drain Fix . (Democracy's ROM already have this fix)
- After reboot - go to Menu - Manage apps - Running tab - Kill process for Google playstore
- App drawer - Settings - Accounts & sync - Untick Background data
- Turn it on Background data if you want download from Google playstore.
7. Tips for low sound
According to the 30 volumes steps mod, the sound you're hearing is too low
for notification, camera shutter, keyboard or everything else.
The sound can be fix with apps like Audio Manager, Smart Volume or others sound manager
you can download free from Play Store. After that you can uninstall the apps.
8. Change kernel
If you want change kernel from Firekernel to Blackhawk OC kernel flash this -> cm-blackhawk-oc-kernel.zip & TypoBlackHawk.zip
TypoBlackHawk.zip is only text showing at CWM Manager. (see pic above)
reboot recovery - mount /system - flash

you can try. but most I had read on xda are facing problem with Titanium Backup.

yes & no. apocalypse is the best graphic with hard work from itasoulas. Miracle is inspired me for make my own customizable rom.

What font? From Apocalypse? What Theme, ICS again? Sorry your rom is quite beautiful but there are many ICS Themed CM7 ROMS with same features, just some addition of apps. Why don't you try some new ones for a change? You know, think out of the box, that just maybe attract some more users in your ROM. Just my opinion though. I'm not a developer too, just saying my opinion as a user.

.....isnts apocalypse and miracle the same thing ...minus a few additions of apss ...with a ics theme ....why u say that rom is good while this is just some random rom this rom may attract some users.. sorry but there are many ics themed roms( inluding miracle and apocalypse ) for sga .evryone should think out of the box .......you know........starting by not including a sick ics theme ..... i m not a developer too , just saying my opinion as a user .

Oh okay. You shouldn't do that, they might get confused and when they installed it they will start to look in some of the features included in the Screenshots. Some of them don't read the infos, including me just now.

In order to load various modules of the kernel and enable or disable features use Semaphore Manager or use HM.Carbide's Semaphore Script Manager application. It automatically copies and runs the respective scripts from /res/scripts to /system/etc/init.d directory.
Custom Voltage may be configured with Voltage control or similar applications.

am i ok to assume that i can install this kernel if im already running android 4.1.1 ?? like will the datadata partition be gone or should i install another kernel to re-write my partitions and then install yours? thanks a lot i really liked your semaphore kernel in an miui rom i tried out and would love to have it with this jb/paranoid android rom im running

I'm pretty sure this is only for roms that don't have the datadata partition. If you have a rom with the datadata partition on it then you'll want to install the "ICS" version of this kernel and not the one with "jellybean" in the name. I believe that one is at v1.2.6.

If that doesn't work then you'll have to install a 4.1.1 rom that will repartition first, in order to use it, like you thought.

Also, thank you stratosk for your work. Working well on the euroskank cm10 kang. I did have a couple of soft reboots but they seem to have gone away when I disabled deep idle. (I tried it because it seemed to work fine on my cappy (i896) when I was on ICS and 1.2.6).

The compass gives me a random direction. But it works fine with Stock CM 10 kernel.
I'm still investigating but so far it's been sticking at the boot up screen every time trying to use 2.0.3 with the Aug. 18 Captivate Euroskank CM10 build. It boots fine with the built in kernel. It had been working perfectly on the previous build. I think they made a few significant changes to CM10 over the past few days. I noticed I somehow ended up with \data\ wiped too. I need to go back through their commits and see what was changed.

It'll work on Euroskank unofficial CM10 builds up to Aug 15th. Builds after that will result in no boot (likely until the kernel is updated).

Probably because Semaphore Kernel for Captivate actually released is the version before the new CM10 partition layout switch.
Stratosk will provide us a kernel for official CM10, until then we have to patiently wait.
2.0.3s with X-Bean
Hi Stratosk,
I tried your 2.0.3s kernel for X-Bean Rom and it works pretty well. It's no very fast (I'm using ondemand), but i think that this may depend on nodatadata. I'm using Nova launcher and there are some lags in appearing for some widgets at the screen-waking. Spirit FM and poweramp function very well. May I ask you a question? There are sound settings in several app, such as Poweramp or Apollo: could they enter in conflict with Voddosound settings?

Deep sleep does not work with WIFI on
Hi Stratosk,
I'm on X-Bean with Semaphore 2.0.3s kernel. I taggled deep sleep in semaphore manager. However, with WIFI on, the phone remains alawys awake, even with screen off, and never goes into deep sleep (verified this night with better batterystat: awake 99%, battery decrease 25% in 7h). Is this normal?

After successful release of my previous rom (HarshGinger) for my previous device i would like to share my first ROM for this device.Note that i created this ROM for my personal use, but if you're missing anything or want anything feel free to post here.I'll try my best to fulfill it.
Note that i don't like to theme because it requires too much time.So i've not themed anything.Thats why it is a pure touchwiz experience and touchwiz is not that bad in look.It just sucks in performance.primary aim of this ROM is to provide light,fast and stable system.I saw that there is no active stock based ROM for this device (correct me if i'm wrong).I'll keep updating this ROM.And yeah forgot to mention this ROM was built for i9070.But i think changing tee folder will make it to work on i9070p also (still not familiar with this device).Now i'll keep digging in to framework and apps for improvements.Please stay tuned for updates.Updats will be stand alone installer.So it won't require to download whole ROM again.And it is important to back up your current ROM before flashing this one.

So we have installed HarshJelly on our device now how to enhance performance with it...
First of all disable UI sound and haptic feedback (haptic feedback is disabled by default).They drain battery and affects performance.
Second thing, Go to SuperSU settings and disable notifications.There will be glitch in granting permission when they're enabled.
HarshJelly comes with some commands.Their usage is listed below.To use them, just open terminal and write any of them
zalignx:It'll zipalign all the system apps and installed apps.Do it once in a week or after installing some apps because system apps are already zipaligned. Originally this was created by darky (sorry i don't know the actual author) and i modified it for better compatibility.
vac:It'll vaccume the all the databases.Credit goes to zeppelinrox.Read his supercharger thread for more info.Execute it whenever you get sometime.This process will be too fast when fsync is disabled but it'll take wome more time when fsync is enabled.
clearbloats:This will remove all the bloatwares from system.Use this with caution because this can affect system's stability.You can get random FCs.Normal users won't have much effect but advanced user will miss some functionality.Note that I won't listen to any bug after executing this command.
restorebloats:This command reverts changes done by clearbloats

Use cocafe's awesome cocore kernel for better performance
Don't install unnecessary apps like anti-virus softs,battery saving apps etc.Most of them are crap.They uses a lot resources but provides very little through put.
Some tips for GPS Setup: By default this ROM will use samsung's gps.conf.But if you want more fast and accurate GPS then get some NTP servers for your country/region from pool.ntp.org and replace them to /system/etc/gps.conf.
GPS performance can further be increased by clearing and downloading AGPS data periodically.To do so use GPS test app from market.
Now let me clear some concepts regarding to RAM Consumption.I've seen many people crying about low free RAM and using task killers to leech as much as RAM is free.First of don't use and task killers and let android manage the RAM and apps.By using task killers you're interfering with OS.when you kill any service android will try to execute it again.So again it'll need to load some data in memory and it'll consume CPU again and it'll drain battery.About free RAM most people believe that some lags appear due to high ram consumption because most people uses Windows and have a little knowledge about linux and it's kernel.Android is designed in a way that it should utilize all the RAM.So it'll cache resources in ram for future usage in-spite of removing them after exiting from apps.It'll release all the mem which were used for caching of resources whenever any app needs it.So don't think about free ram.And also Jelly Bean's framework is too heavy so it'll consume more RAM.So less free RAM is not ROM's problem.
Disable keypad light to save some more juice.
About the nano text editor , it is very usefull tool in case of boot loop.It is best used in recovery with Aroma File manager's terminal.It lets you edit anyfile in recovery in GUI.
Want better mutitasking (at some extent)? Flash Small Apps package from Add on section.
Benchmarks don't show the reality.They just represent system behavior at the moment.
Use harsh_control command in terminal for more customization.
Device is eating too much RAM, Hot Boot it instead of reboot.
Keep an eye on Wakelock Tile.If it is red, that means system has acquired wakelock so system won't go to deep sleep
Want a smooth and Lite launcher? use MINI LAUNCHER
How to use HarshJelly Tweaker:select the option you want.If there is notification about reboot,press menu and then select hotboot.No need to reboot device.If there is no notification after changing option, changes are applied on the go.No need to reboot/hotboot.
Want to report a bug? Report it along with full logcat.I won't respond to post describing bug without logs.
Q. How to put your own image in contacts tile in 4.2 statusbar?
A. There are two way to do so,
If you're using Xposed framework then it is very easy for you.Just enable HarshJelly Tweaker Module from Xposed installer and reboot device.Now you just need to put two images namely my_prof_normal.png and my_prof_pressed.png (Names are self explanatory) to /data/HarshJelly folder.Make sure that read permission is give to those files (if you don't understand just give it 777 permission).Now reboot your device, thats all.
If you're not using Xposed framework then you need to modify APK.But i've made it simple for you.Just download my patch sysui_patch.zip.Open it using winrar or winzip or similar software and navigate to patch/patches/system/app/SystemUI.apk/res/drawable-hdpi and drag and drop two images namely my_prof_normal.png and my_prof_pressed.png.Now take that zip file on device and flash it

A. 400x400
Q. Why i need to put two images?
A. Because i've added fade animation there.So when you'll put your finger on it then it'll fade in second image. (TIP: use your normal image as my_prof_normal.png, now use any software and blur the same image and use it as my_prof_pressed.png.It'll look awesome when you'll put finger on contacts tile)

BTW, crt-off effect has one bug: if you turn off screen using your power button without unlocking it, it will be constantly turning on itself. for SM-T800 and SM-T805 tab S 10.5 wifi/lte ONLY (only SM-T800 is supported for kitkat)
- this yTab ROM/kernel is currently built for SM-T800/SM-T805 only (exynos5420)
- other similar variants like SM-T800x, SM-T800y, SM-T800z etc are not officially supported
- those come with Snapdragon processors are NOT supported too

INSTALLATION:
## IMPORTANT ##
DO NOT wipe the cache partition after the installation as this will break some functions, otherwise you will need to re-apply the latest update
for new users (fresh installation):
remember to make a backup first
I WILL NEVER format your partition or wipe anything for you (except reformat util), please wipe the system/data/cache partitons yourself before install
put the files in sdcard or external sd and install them in recovery (only tested with cwm)
after installed, you can start yTab Synapse Control and change any settings you desire
for existing users (applying updates):
check your current version by opening yTab Synpase Control and see if the version required for the update is met
install the update file in recovery
if applicable, you can apply more updates in the same recovery session without the need to reboot between updates
install multiple updates files in sequence according to the release dates with older files first
FAQ:
[1] how to wipe the partitions properly?
a) for cwm:
wipe and format options -> custom format options -> choose format /system, /cache and /data
b) for twrp:
wipe -> under select partitions to wipe page -> choose cache, data and system
[2] why only the back button at the top works but not others/no synapse can be found after installing yTab/synapse doesnt work properly?
a) most likely you have installed a custom busybox after installing yTab which breaks the predefined symlinks
- to solve this problem, see if it works after uninstalling the custom busybox
b) you have not wiped the partitions properly before installing yTab and thus causing problems with a mixture of old and new system and data
- as to fix this problem, please refer to FAQ #1 for a how to wipe the partitions properly
[3] could not find or missing VPN/google contacts sync/email/exchange, etc after yTab is installed
some apps were removed from the rom (debloated)
- please get them in the removed apps section below, or post a request for the apps you need if they are not available yet
[4] yTab Synapse Control always shows json parse error
get and upload the uci.log file to your online storage by issuing the following command in terminal emulator and then send the link to me via pm (do not paste the log contents in the pm, thanks)

after installed, you can start yTab Synapse Control and change any settings you desire
for existing users (applying updates):
check your current version by opening yTab Synpase Control and see if the version required for the update is met
install the update file in recovery
if applicable, you can apply more updates in the same recovery session without the need to reboot between updates
install multiple updates files in sequence according to the release dates with older files first

please put a check in ytab synapse control->audio->enable speaker equalizer
will try to fix this in the next update

i see. it's not compatible with cm
@ykkfive I Tryed to flash your kernel/rom again to check out the speaker fix .The keyboard disappears after I flash 1.01 so I can not continue on. Not sure what the problem is? Keyboard setting says its set at default.
