i9505 encryption failed - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi, i flashed a custom rom yesterday (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2794546) the super slim version.
everything worked fine. wanted to encrypt the device, charged it and pressed start encryption. it showed me the green android guy for a second, then rebooted. i went to sleep. today i see its giving me 3 notification on the screen: settings has stopped, interface stopped, and telephone stopped. i can press ok, then the screen either goes blank and nothing happens but the notifications pop up again after some time, or it reboots and does the same. i can still get into recovery, but /sdcard is inaccessible. should i flash from the external sdcard?
should i flash something with odin? i just want it back working. thanks

[Q] S4 freezes all the time.

I haveS4 (i9505) that had the rom foxhound 2.0 on it.
I later decided to install the Google Edition (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2348272) on it.
When installing it I should have wiped data and cache but I accidentally used TWRP's "Format Data" function which deleted everything.
I had to use Odin to put back the original samsung software.
After this I installed the Google Edition the correct way.
When it booted up it said: "encryption unsuccessful" with a button "factory reset" which I pressed.
This took me to the recovery mode which also gave me an error (don't remember what it said).
So i used Odin yet again to put TWRP on it so I could factory reset the phone.
I used the phone for like 1 day but then strange things started to happen.
The phone just froze. Not like a normal freeze where everything stops, but where loading-animations still works and everything else stops working.
So I restarted the phone and it happened again and again and again. From like a few seconds to a few minutes the phone froze or rebooted.
The strange thing is that the same thing happens in recovery (TWRP), the same kind of freeze as described above.
And sometimes the phone refuses to turn on at all. Doesn't help to press all buttons, even holing the powerbutton for 1 minute doesn't help.
I have found out that when this happens I can disconnect the battery and reconnect it after some time to get it to start up again for a short time.
I've tried three different versions of TWRP, and also the original samsung firmware with the same result using Odin.
During all this I also had some problem with my SD-card. Files on it got corrupted and sometimes when i copied files over to it i didn't allow it to happen.
Anyone got any tips on what is going on/what i should do?

[Q] Kernal is not seandriod enforcing, set warranty bit: kernel, endless boot loop

Hi all,
My friend helped me root the s4. It was working fine despite being unable to read my SD card.
Just now, I changed my SIM card and the phone restarted fine. I may have accidentally pressed and held the power button, it restarted but since then it won't go past the google image. It doesn't get into home screen, I'm out of the country and don't have a laptop or computer with me. Only an iPad, I have tried plugging it to a charger and draining the battery and nothing works. It's still stuck at the same screen w the same messages at the top.
is there any way to get my phone running? I can't get home til a couple days later.
Initially when the phone starts the yellow text saying: set warranty bit will run but now it's stuck at kernel. There's no loading or anything following after. I have tried to install an update (prompted by the phone) two days ago but it fail at the second part during installation and I selected to revert back to previous screen, the phone then restarted and worked fine.
Can anyone advise on how to get the phone to work?

SGH-i337 wont boot after encryption.

I finally got my SGH-i337 flashed with a AOSP GPE 4.4.4 ROM. I finished setting everything up. I'm rooted, running safestrap recovery, got all my apps installed and themes set. I decided it was time to encrypt. Went through the default method in settings. Settings > security > encrypt. Set my pin and started the process. I went to sleep while the phone did it's thing. It said it was going to take a couple hours. I wake up and it has stopped on the boot screen.
Usually when I boot the phone it has four swirling balls that come together and form 'android'. Then 'android' flickers for a couple seconds and throws me into the lock screen. Now the 'android' just continues to flicker and hasn't changed for over an hour. So it was time to consult the forums.
Don't know if this is relevant, but whenever I hold the power button to turn it off while it is stuck I get two quick vibrates then it turns off.
If I enter safestrap, I am prompted for a password. I enter the PIN I set before encryption and it tells me "Password Failed, Please Try Again."
Everything I try to do in safestrap ends with:
"E:Unable to mount '/datamedia'
"E:Unable to mount '/ss'
"E:Unable to mount internal storage"
I used Joe-Tech's guide to flashing GPE 4.4.4 on samsung galaxy s4 from at&t. Can't link it, just made this account.

[Q] OTA Update and Reboot Loop- Attempts to install update, fails, and repeats

Ever since receiving an OTA update a few days ago, my phone was never able to successfully reboot again. Instead, it does exactly this when I turn it on: Samsung logo appears when booting, then the At&t logo with the word "installing..." or "updating..." along with a loading bar at the bottom appears. The loading bar reaches 100%, but then it will say "update failed", and it reboots and the same process happens again. I've let the phone run on it's own for several ours to see if it'll ever snap out of the loop, but it just stays in the same never-ending cycle of constant rebooting and updating. My phone wasn't rooted and worked perfectly fine before the update, so I suspect something went wrong while it was updating. I tried pressing the home, volume, and power buttons in attempt to initiate a recovery boot and do a factory-reset, but nothing happens. And I've tried replacing the battery, SIM card, and micro SD card, but there's still no change. I still am, however, able to set it in ODIN mode, but I'm not sure what to do since I'm not techie/literate. Please help, I don't know how to get my phone properly working again.

Not able to start from factory reset again, get's stuck or reboots constantly

hi...
I'm really desperate, my phone is suddenly dying and I have no idea why, I'll tell you from yesterday what has happened:
- I'm playing a stupid game and suddenly the screen goes black. No led, phone doesn't answer any button, nothing. I hold power button, nothing. Remove battery and put again, nothing. After some attempts phone turns on, but just after starting it reboots or stays frozen.
- I decide to change the rom (I had simpl rom), so I do a full wipe and put CM 12. It seems it works, but when I'm in the settings, at the beggining, I don't even have time to put the wifi, it starts rebooting again and/or not responding.
- Desperated, I install via odin the stock firmware from Sam Mobile. It seems it's gonna work, but when the dialog of "Android is upgrading -- Optimazitating app x of XX" it always gets stucked in a number, randomly. I never get to the 230 apps.
- As a last chance, I try Kies to install factory firmware. The same as before happens, but now it's only 17 the number of apps it tries to optimize.
These last 2 times, of course, I enter recovery from time to time (now the default one) and wipe cache partition.
My phone is agonizing, what the f is happening? Does anybody know what could happen?
Please help...
