Hello people.
For gaming (and 3DS) purposes, I have tried to install both PA 3.69 and CM 10.1 to get to use Homepass methods that rely on MAC spoofing to get more streetpass hits.
But none of these two roms actually boots, they just stay on the Google logo.
Is there anyway I could boot these, or use anything that could work for MAC spoofing in Android 4.4 ? (I don't expect it since I've heard it was fixed)
Thanks in advance for your answers !
Bump, I'd really be grateful for any help

Hi,
Anyone have any success in enabling full device encryption using any of the Android ROMS (CM9, PA, etc?).
The reason I ask is that I flashed the ParanoidAndroid 1.5b NAND ROM but when I try to encrypt the phone it never even begins. It just hangs at the initial screen with the little green android guy.
I've read a lot of posts and there doesn't seem to be much success with ICS encryption and most ROMs. It seems the problem lies with the partitioning used in most ROMs, as can be seen in this excellent post about the subject.
So, given that many users in a corporate environment are required to have full device encryption, the question remains.
Anyone have any experience with ICS encryption on any of the android ROMs? Or does anyone know if there are plans for a encryption friendly CM or PA ROM?
It seems to me that a privacy friendly Blandroid type ROM for the HD2 would be a nice niche to develop. As far as I know, this has not yet been done.
Thanks
Hi all,
I have not been here in yonks but I know this forum is always helpful. I am trying to flash a slim updated rom on my old android galaxy note. Out of no where, so many of my apps on that phone stopped working and it kept saying, this device is not compatible etc. I tried all the tricks and still a lot of apps will not work.
I have Odin pro installed on the phone but I forgot how to use it lol so may require direct instructions. But can someone recommend a fast but small in size build to flash which is updated. It says on my galaxy note that it’s running 4.1.2 which is jelly bean. If I recall it’s probably a custom rom but it’s been so long.
Thanks I advance if anyone can help me with instructions, I know it’s easy to do, but it’s been ages.
Cheers [emoji106][emoji106]

Hey guys / gals,
So I'm kinda going a bit nuts here. I know some people may think I'm crazy, what with some AMAZING ROMs out there running much more recent Android releases (Viper OS / VANIR come to mind) but I REALLY want to be running SlimRom on my GS5, even if I have to downgrade to KitKat. Problem is I can't find a single working like - anywhere - to a single working build for the KLTESPR (or KLTEDV for newer Android versions) and believe me, I've tried.
What's even crazier is I know I've had a working build in the past, I think it actually came off the SlimRom website itself, but none of the links on the site are clickable now.
Long story short, if someone can point me in the direction of a WORKING SlimRom for the Sprint Galaxy S5, I will love you forever.
Thanks in advance!
It seems their website is down, no links or builds are clickable.
Thanks in advance![/QUOTE]
Hi guys,
I have the fire 7 HDX 3rd gen. Great tablet but think it could easily run android Pie. I have built a few roms for my phones an am still learning how to build.
My question is before i expend a lot of wasted time trying to port Pie to the HDX is it even a possibility ? Obviously the device drivers and kernel will need to be updated.
I have a few ideas on the kernel perhaps use an updated kernel from a current Pie port from a device running Pie.
The drivers am not sure if they could be coaxed into running under Pie or if I'd need to also find updated drivers again from a Pie ported device.
Am I wasting my time even considering trying this ?
Any advice or feedback on this would be much appreciated so thanks in advance.

The resource most familiar with porting custom ROMs for HDX devices is still struggling with Oreo. Undocumented kernel and specialized device drivers are the biggest challenges. Me thinks you would have your hands full.

Thanks for your reply and giving me an honest assessment on this much appreciated. I had an idea it would not be an easy task or else someone maybe would have done it by now.
It is a shame this is unlikely to happen since I believe the hardware is more than capable of running pie. Hell many devices with lesser hardware are running pie so the HDX should have no problems doing so.
Ohh well I will just enjoy using my HDX as is.
Thanks again RemusW.
ps. sorry for the multiple postings.
I have a rooted Snapdragon S8 (done by this method) and I want to install LineageOS (or any other non-samsung android build) onto it.
I have searched far and wide on this form an the internet and I have not been able to find a single custom ROM for the Snapdragon S8. Does anyone know of any of these ROMs that exist?
If they do not exist, would it be possible for me to make one? Is there a tutorial or resource to help me with this? I have a decent amount of experience with rather technical programming on the PC (writing Linux kernel code, etc.) so I would not be walking in completely blind to the topic, however, I have never really messed with android before (besides rooting this phone and a couple of Nexus devices).
I apologize if this is a repeated question, like I said, I couldn't find anything.
Thank you in advance for any and all help!
