[MOD][THEME][4.4.2]Black Themed Settings

Hello Folks ,
I found that the tablet interface of Touchwiz is more worse than mobile interface . So , by @_alex74_'s guidance , We both present the modded SecSettings.apk which is black themed . It's only for odexed rom right now.
Instructions:
1)Download the SecSettings.apk from below
2)Copy and paste it into /system/priv-app/'here' and set permission to 644
3)Reboot and Tadaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.................... you''ll have black themed settings.

Any guide on doing this modification? I'm trying to do this on my Note 10.1 2012 but still no luck. I just need parameters(hope I wrote it right) for the background color for both sides(dark blue and gray) and the text color.I mean which part of secsettings are to be modified after decompiling?Hope you can help me.Thanks in advance.

Thanks for replying. Did you mean change values only in the color.xml inside values folder or is there other .xml to be modified too inside the value folder?Sorry for being noob mate.

We will do it as soon as possible ..............maybe 2-3 days now..... I don't have my tab as It's charging port has been damaged and It's in the service center....... So I have to mod and send everything to CAG man to test..... 2-3 days more !!!!!

Tried it on my T217S and system phone crash, also there is another SecSettings.apk.odex < what to do with this one?

Hey , it was only for tab 3 10.1 & not for T217s . Replace the apk and odex with the backup(If u have made) or else flash stock firmware via odin

I backed up original file and had no trouble reverting, how would I be able to theme my UI?

[BOOTANIMATION][XHDPI][HDPI] Clean Xperia

Well, I like clean bootanimation so I created this bootanimation few hours ago with BootAnimation Factory (Nice software)
I tested this on Xperia SP, should work on your Xperia.
NOTE! As my old bootanimations are very similar with @Steph310 's bootanimation so I created a new bootanimation with a bit diffirent with his bootanimation.

You simply added an other screen size...
We could have had the same inspiration but after checking, margins, location and size of the elements are stricktly identical!
So you copied my work!
It is not polite or honest...

Sorry Sir, but I didn't copied your bootanimation, I just made your original bootanimation as a inspiration.
I made this with some xperia SP's pngs,
look at the attachment (all of spinners are from SP's framework).

I used this spinners and old Sony bootanimation background.
The problem is not to create or use elements existing!
For example, I use too Lollipop elements to create Xperia Lollipop
The problem is that your bootanimation strictly the same as mine.
Framing, composition, location and size of elements are nearest pixel same! Really strange...
Yes, nice to create an other one, with another spiner for exemple.
The possibilities are endless!
Everyone can use my work, copy it for other screen sizes, use it for a custom rom ...
I simply want that you ask my permission and be quoted.

Looks interesting...indeed an unusual name.....Substratum pre-installed! Didn't know Substratum worked with OOS 3.5.x. Dev are they any issues with applying system UI items? Love stock tweaked ROMs, usually more stable IMO:good:. Cheers!

I can't seem to take a screenshot by holding volume down + power. I'm getting a "Couldn't save screenshot. Can't save screenshot due to limited storage space, or it isn't allowed by the app or the organization".

Its been a really long time away from Android ROMS for me but I remember this being an issue some times in the past. Seems like the system was looking for the folder to save the screenshots in. Could be "sdcard/pictures/Screenshots" If that folder doesn't exist create it and that might fix it.?

delete the old screenshot file and it will create one itself. this usually happens when your previous backup conflicts with new rom.

Navbar on S7 Edge Nougat

Do anyone know how to enable the navbar on the s7 edge?

Root, install xposed installer, install goodlock, install gravitybox and look for enable Navigation bar in gravitybox. Enable it, customise options and reboot. Boom!

There is an empty area in dots with that keys my launcher why ? I am using moded Touchwiz in King of nougat rom. And in some apps that keys are completely black. I cant see them

But when the keyboard pops jo the navbar changes to Black but the buttons dont change to White..

Yes, it is quite an easy mod, I made it for Echoerom.
I edited four .pio files that must be replaced into systemUI.apk, so that they can be easily seen both when the navbar background is black or white (just some gimp and paint).
If any of you can share the systemUI.apk from Ambasadi's rom (the dev wrote that anybody is free to use his work) I'll mod it and eventually open a separate thread, though it's not real modding, just little tricks.
As a rule of thumb, any nougat systemUI.apk should work.
This mod requires you to use a different launcher (I modded a pixel launcher that works fine with navbar Btw).

It is from Ambasadi's rom v11 odex

Sorry, I need a systemui from a deodexed rom to replace the inner resources.

If you use "Custom navigation bar", you can change the layout and button images easily. And if you want to change the background, "Navbar Apps" will change it.
I can't use English well. Sorry for my bad English...

Request : How to translate chinese roms from bbs.gfan into english?

Dear Devs,
Can someone please guide me through how i can deodex and translate the chinese roms from bbs gfan? I tried using softwares like FulmicsDeodexer , ASSAYYED'S kitchen etc to deodex the rom but without luck.
Also, i tried using apktool for decompiling the systemUi.apk and ROM control to translate into english but after recompiling the apk doesnt seem to install.
I would be grateful for your small help and guidance.

Rom control needs to be recompiled with new sign
Can not sign systemUI in oreo. Open both original & modified systemUIs with winrar or 7-zip. Drag & drop res, resources.arsc, class.dex, class2.dex folders from new one to old one
Change csc (omc). Add gapps

I have worked on samsung roms, rebuild chinese roms. Yep, Norma rom. Translate some xml files in res\values. Then recompile it with new sign
As for as systemUI, recompile with old sign then drag & drop as i said above. Hope all works as before :laugh: I stopped working on Norma rom

Can hide it in rom control. Or replace dateview.smali by the international one. Or modify lunars.smali (lunar.smali)

i want to add language to rom that not support this language
i found an article that says: in system folder of the rom decompile "framework-res.apk" and after that translate some xml files pack it back to zip and flash it the problem is i didn't find the stock rom so i downloaded twrp backup file and extract it to similar format like a rom i do it all. my question is if i will pack it back(after modified) and try to flash it it will work?
