I want to block camera and mimic access to certain apps but everything I find doesn't support kitkat. What is my best option? And also, why aren't my Facebook messages coming to the notification bar?

I'm not sure about the Facebook notifications but I flashed the alliance rom and it has "App ops" built in which lets you restrict individual permissions an app has access to

Hi,
Does anyone know of an app which allows to change all the notification sounds for the various services or built in apps in one dialog instead of going through every app settings dialog to change them?
It is okay to show the whatsapp notification using 'Augmented smartwatch"
But if there are 2 or more message that you havent read in the MOTOACTV, only the last message can be seen.
Is it possible to see the old messages as well?
Also, can I see whatsapp image in MOTOACTV ?
Disable whatsapp under optimized notifications in augmented settings.
Enable whatsapp under all other notifications and enable alt info.
You should now get every message.
If this doesn't work then you will need to use root options in augmented. Depends on android version etc.
Thanks

Hello everybody
So i have some apps that require to display a notification so the process doesnt get killed.
All of them have the option to disable the notification but mention that the process may get killed when disabling the notification.
Since Android 4.1 you can disable notifications for an app through the settings in the app section.
If i activate the notifications in the apps settings but disable it in the system settings is it the same like disabling them in the apps settings?
Is there still the possibility that the process may get killed then?
I am not able to set Messages as the default messaging app. Messages app is not displayed in the More Network > Change Messaging app . I tried accessing the same settings for different places but nothing happens. When I start the Messages app , pressing ok doesnt do anything.
I tried
1. Clearing cache and data
2.Reinstalling the apk file.
3.Uninstalling updates.
I am on Note 4 N9100 4.4.4 Dual Sim
I am not able to send messages with the second sim. Hangout and Messenger defaults to a particular sim.
Finally found the solution. Culprit is xposed module Custom share.
@abs0lut3z33r0: If you disable some apps in CustomShare, they are no longer in the share/open menu - thats the reason for the module
I've come to realize that my default Messaging App on my Samsung Galaxy S4 seems to be causing a lot of lags lately. (That or my keyboard).
I've tested out a few Messaging Apps (Go Pro, Texter, Google Messenger, etc) but I find they're not as good as the default S4 Messenger.
Tried Texter, which is great! But when you get a text, it shows up in your notifications, but when you swipe the notification to clear the notification bar, it counts the swipe as a read message (wtf??).
Also, unlike the default messenger, it doesn't have an unread messages on the icon. So you actually have to open the app the see if you have any unread messages.
Any fixes or suggestions for better messaging apps? Or a way to update the current default app?
It would probably be easier if you'd enumerate some features you'd want said app to have.
Those unread badges are a feature of the launcher, not the texting app. Or rather, I myself have not seen any messaging app with that feature included.
As to why it doesn't work with other apps, it's probably because the default launcher only supports the default app.
In other words, you need another launcher to have those on other apps, but most launchers offer this as a premium feature only.
Also, I believe that, for some apps, it matters which way you swipe away the notification.
e.g., Swipe right - mark as read; Swipe left - just clear it.
