Need Dev phone file - Xperia Z3 General

I found "CustomizationSelector.apk" in /system/priv-app.
It changed settings for specific carrirs and one of them contains Japanese carrir which has different bands.
For Z2 D6503
https://mega.co.nz/#!m1oQiLTY!wyLNK_CU0y-LHGI6ct8bgT94PI68BsnZhIuoWdZ5PoQ
Modem Switcher runs if you change
ro.build.type=user
to
ro.build.type=userdebug
in build.prop, but it didn't change working bands since it needs "modemfs_mapping.xml" and "sim_mapping.xml" in /system/etc/customization/modem/.
I think these two files are in Dev phone.
If someone has a Dev phone, please check...
[EDIT]
Found these files in E3 and edited for Z2, but it doesn't unlock LTE bands.

How can we remove the customizations on the modem? Just flashed an unbranded ftf. But in service menu shows telstra as the modem config used still and not the unbranded one

"This is a Question" - LG G2 Regional Carrier Menu

EDIT: Sorry, forgot to select the check-box indicating this was a question. This feature cannot be edited after the fact hence the title modification.
The LG G2 (model: LG-D801 and LG-D803) are sold in Canada. The LG-D801 model is the same variant sold my T-Mobile (USA) but both models have identical specs. and have been crippled as for the agreement between LG and the specific mobile vendors. The LG-801 does have the LTE capability but being crippled, even if the device is "unlocked" with correct APN settings, the fastest speed received will be 4G. When you go into your network options, 4 modems should be present:
LTE/WCDMA/GSM (auto connect)
WCDMA/GSM (auto)
WCDMA (auto)
GSM (auto)
Unfortunately, the LG-D801 model has the LTE modem crippled and in order to enable, you must flash the appropriate carrier ROM and change the regional settings to reflect your LTE carrier otherwise the modem will not enable. I do know some have been lucky with LTE enabling but for the most part, this is not the case.
I know with Samsung Galaxy Note 3, there's a dial-pad sequence you enter to get into the CSC menu to change your carrier. I also know you can install any variant of ROM onto this device for model: SM-N900W8 and it will work.
My question are:
■ Can I install the Telus LG-D803 ROM onto my WIND LG-D801 device without bricking and if so, is there a good instructional guide on how to do so?
■ Is there a recovery program such as TWRP which I can install?
■ Once installed, the KEY point is whether or not anyone knows the regional dial-pad code? This will change the carrier settings to reflect the newly installed ROM so it will unlock the LTE modem and other options specific to the carrier.
Thank you!
Refer to thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2493652&page=3 for my opinion and conclusion. Thanks!

Z3 Band Selection & Tech Mode

So apparently there is a "Tech Mode" menu separate from the Hidden Menu we already know of. This menu allows us to enable or disable bands.
I found it useful as T-Mobile was intermittently pushing me from LTE Band 12 where I have full signal to LTE Band 4 where it's much worse. I therefore, disabled bands 2 & 4, so I am always on Band 12 with full signal.
Anyway to get to it dial
*#*#386#*#* or *#*#585*0000#*#*
It was found by an XDA user named AndroPlus
http://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/check-band-connecting-xperia-t2914376
Didn't work on my Z3 D6653 with 5.1.1
Didn't work on my Z3 D6603 with 5.1.1 23.4.A.0.546 1290-6857 Generic LAM
There was a typo I edited the post now. I added an extra * in front of the numbers earlier.
Not working, D6653, 5.1.1
Sent from my D6653 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
That's odd, it's there on my D6616 on 5.0.2, maybe they took it out in 5.1.1.
You can find TechMode on Customized UK firmware.
It works on stock 5.1
It's an apk file so it should be installable for rooted users.

XZP VoLTE firmware

Hi Guys,
I'm almost happy user of XPZ. I bought non-branded version G1842 dual. I want to use VoLTE(and WiFiCalling if possible) on my handset. My operator Orange PL supporting VoLTE but only on Iphones and branded firmwares for Android phones.
Sony support/service refuse to flash my phone with Orange firmware - so I would need to do this alone but official Orange firmware is available only for single sim XPZ G8141.
Question - can I seftly flash G8142 with G8141 firmware? Or do you know that maybe VoLTE operator configuration is kept in one of sin files like modem_X-FLASH-ALL-42E5.sin and I could just swap one file in whole firmware folder?
Secondly VoLTE - I send email to operator and they replay that configuration of VoLTE is many settings/parameters inside firmware. Besides *#*#4636#*#* option VoLTE provisioning I didn't see any configuration for this service. The config is so deeply inside firmware? When I switch ON this option in that menu it's not saved and when I enter once again the menu is one again switched off.
What I saw most of the VoLTE arround globe have problem - that they need to use branded firmware. Do you think in the future it would change? As far as I check for Iphone it works on all - it's relevant it's branded or non-branded phone.
best regards,
Piotr
I'm in Sweden and VoLTE got enabled for me when I switched carrier. I didn't do anything but switch SIM. I had a Z5 Premium at the time and now I'm on a XZ Premium and VoLTE is enabled as default.
And standard Nordic Combined firmware, no carrier lock.
Piotr, i think with DS version of device you are out of luck. There is no european provider specific modem configuration(required for volte) available for the dual sim device. I have attached available configurations in the zip file.
To get single sim modem configuration files flashed to device, you need to flash system.sin, but i STRONGLY DO NOT recommend doing that. Potential brick on your way.
Mixing flashing the single sim and dual sim different .sin files is highly experimental.
If you really want VoLTE then i think less headache is if you can find a person who is willing to switch single sim version with you.
You can get any region G8141 and then flash https://xpericheck.com/cda/1308-7002
Phone needs load configuration amss_fsg_maple_orange_poland_volte_vowifi_tar.mbn to get VoLTE and VoWIFI.
Checking current oem.sin file, i can see that when inserting Orange PL sim, then amss_fsg_maple_orange_poland_ims_tar.mbn is actually loaded.
Is the XZ Premium on confirmed VoLTE devices list on Orange Poland webpage?
Hello, any news in this thread? I have the same situation but with XZ1. I have nonbranding dual sim working on T-Mobile PL. They sell XZ1 only single sim, so there is only single SIM firmware from T-Mobile. Someone test flashing single SIM firmware for dual SIM XZ/XZ1 Xperia?
Should be same situation as with xz premium. flash single sim fw via newflasher and you are done. will lose 2nd sim but otherwise should be good.
Please Read different topics to know how other users have done it to xz premium dual sim.

Are dual sim variants of xz1 and xzp installed with the required 4x4mimo hardware antennas?
Just flashed XZ1 DUAL with XZ1 SINGLE firmware. Everything work at this time fine and VoLTE and VoWIFI are working from the start!

All functions with single sim firmware work properly?
Phone now reports as g8341 (singles sim) to the mobile carrier?
What does now show in the model number of your device menu?

In system information stay now G8341, and naturally i lost second SIM in menu.

Why dual sim are sold cheaper then singlesim? Which country?
I bought XZP in presale and price for non-brand and brand at telcos was the same. For me I was thinking it's benefit because I get dual sim and "clean" FW.
I suppose that Sony (and also Samsung) don't care about this....I hope that carrier services app in android recently added by Google would be the way to update settings for operators for all headsets. Like apple does. That would solve that configuration....
Only when small file missing and and lot of issues with VoLTE and VoWiFi.

Maybe single and dual sim are exactly the same HW? and when you load DS FW into SS version you will get DS? anyway 2sim share slot with SD ...maybe Sony simply manufacturing process?

To confirm files like amss_fsg_maple_orange_poland_volte_vowifi_tar.mbn are kept in which file? oem_X-FLASH-ALL-42E5.sin or modem_X-FLASH-ALL-42E5.sin ?
This file are modem configuration so it should be more in modem.sin but you mention that you check oem.sin for that maple config?
Is 100% configuration of VoLTE are kept in amss_fsg_maple_orange_poland_volte_vowifi_tar.mbn ?
In 20 minutes I would also try to flash XZP like rav.6 with XZ1 to check that solution. And let all know.
br,
Piotr
oem.sin only includes instructions which configuration(.mbn) to load.
all configuration are universally available in system.sin

I can confirm. Solution by rav.6 is working also on XZP with Orange firmware Poland.
I see now options for VoLTE and VoWiFi and VoLTE are enable but not working
I don't know why

In T-Mobile I have activated VoLTE and VoWIFI by sending message to T-Mobile. I don't know how it looks in Orange, but i think you must activate it first.

Generic modem/radio needed files, which are needed for the modem to work. Identical in every region firmware.

Specification need for G935U vs. G935U (AT&T)

https://www.phonemore.com/compare/p...5u-vs-samsung-galaxy-s7-edge-sm-g935a/5532054
This compares a G935U vs. a G935A
What firmware would I flash to get the features of the G935U (left picture)
I just flashed my phone with the G935U (AT&T) and although it works fine with no AT&T bloatware, it is missing
some of the GSM bands of the G935U (Left picture) and all of the CDMA bands.
Thank you,
Ken
Unless your phone is a true "U" unlocked model, it will not have the same bands as each of the specific carrier variants such as the AT&T variant. I've never confirmed if flashing a different firmware and modem (CP file) will open up other bands on a carrier branded phone. Maybe someone else has tested this and can offer their input. I tend to doubt it's possible because i think the bands are hard coded onto the chipset thus making it virtually impossible to "activate" unsupported bands on any given model. good luck.
Nope, the modem bands are not changed by the firmware flashing. I have flashed "U" firmware over my "V" phone and it still had only the "V" bands. This is similar to all Snapdragon radio modems - it happened the same way on my older moto and Asus phones too.
The bands can be software forced "on" by flashing the Qualcomm NV memory (with Qualcomm tools) but, in my experience, they will still be not be working. More, at every official upgrade, the "old" value of the NV is reset to original hardware bands.
I have flashed my 935V with 935U (AT&T) firmware and besides the no more bloatware I do
get bands LTE 12 and 30 for sure that I did not get with the 935V when in the GSM mode.

I know for sure that flashing the U over V did not change the bands on my phone (not the A firmware), the NV value remained (reverted) to the original bands. Did that even after the OTA Oreo upgrade of the Nougat U version.
Cell #06828 has the value 4190 on the V version of S7.
If you use the LTE Band Calculator you will see that's 2,3,4,5,7,13.
Can you post a service screen with that working (dial *#0011#)?
LE: I stand corrected. The U firmware re-flashes the modem's CSC file with every change of the SIM. In that process it activates ONLY the bands needed for that CSC - this includes the 2G, 3G and 4G/LTE. This is unlike any other Android phone, where the bands are always the same.
There are other things affected by this file, for example the APN, or the accessibility of the Service menu (*#0011*) or the menu to view/change the LTE bands (*#2263#).
With a Tracfone/Verizon SIM, I get only the Verizon bands (except 66 that is not supported) and a couple of international ones. The flashed CSC file is TFN.
With a AT&T SIM, I get a lot more bands, including all AT&T (except 14 and 66 that's not supported) and international ones. Flashed CSC file is ATT.
With an international SIM (Vodafone), flashed CSC file is XAA.
The U firmware has available the following CSC codes: ACG, AIO, ATT, BST, GCF, LRA, SPR, TFN, TMB, TMK, USC, VMU, VZW, XAA, XAS.

Need H918 (and other versions') mcfg_sw.mbn file for US VoLTE on H990DS

I recently found out that the mcfg_sw.mbn file somewhere in /firmware/image/modem_pr/mcfg/configs/mcfg_sw may potentially contain modem config options that could enable VoLTE on this phone for US carriers, like T-Mobile US for me. I need the file, preferably from someone with an H918 (since this version supports T-Mobile VoLTE and can connect to band 12, which requires VoLTE to be working). What I want to do is use part of this guide to enable MCFG Buffet and point it to the H918 mcfg_sw.mbn file. So far I am using a "tmo" file I found in that general location under "na" in the mcfg_sw directory, but IMS doesn't connect. Any general help would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
