In all fairness, with the exception of US Cellular, I don't think ANY of the big three have announced a concrete date.
The big 3 didn't even announce the announce date as indicated above. That was Samsung.

Why is that odd? AT&T waited until AFTER they started shipping pre-orders of the SGS3 before they announced an official release date for that device.
If you want customer service and communication (other than text message spam) you should find another carrier.

and when is that just out of curiosity? I may end up returning my SG3 I upgraded to last week and getting the Note 2 if it comes out late October- early November

I would be careful about that. I don't know about their old terms, but their new terms are strict and say even if you can technically return it because of the place you bought it from, it would be subject to an early termination fee. I would think this similar terms would be in their old contract.
If you truly think you will return it, I would suggest returning it within the standard 30days provided by AT&T.

Samsung even included a picture of the Note 2 on the announcment notice.

That's why i said they announced a date to announce the date.
In other words, they'll tell us the release dates for all the carriers on the 24th. I wouldn't be surprised if at least some carriers start selling it very quickly after that. AT&T always releases on Sundays, so I'm hoping to see the Note 2 at AT&T on the 28th.

Does anyone know if it would be possible to physically buy Galaxy note 3 on September 25th in USA (without shipping).
My sister is in New York till September 26th, so I wonder if she can find it somewhere...
Perhaps best buy or something? (without contract).

I don't think it comes out on September 25th in the US, that's for Europe.

Actually the dates I provided are correct. They are tentative but expected. I work for Samsung and those were the dates given. Again, anything can change.

Well I know the dates that were announced by the carriers in my area and they are as I stated. AT&T is first on October 1st, T-Mobile is on October 2nd, and Verizon is October 10th. You can feel free to look on any of the 3 mentioned carriers websites and the information will be an exact match to the dates I listed. Not trying to be a jerk here man, just trying to provide people with correct info.

Bloody Hell Verizon, you were first to announce and open up pre-orders are you taking the extra week to screw the bootloader to prevent us for enjoying the phone or do you ACTUALLY HAVE TO BE LAST EVERY TIME!

I'm not taking you rude. All I know is I am looking at a document that says Oct 4th for them and 10th for Verizon. That's all I know other than what the company has told me. As far as I know the dates are tentative.

I believe that says shipped....again I am not trying to start a war here. I believe what you said. All I can tell you is what I've seen and heard. I've even stated the dates are tentative. Whether it ships on the 1st or is in store on the 4th does it really matter? It's a few days difference? You'll soon have it. I am loving mine right now, preproduction and all. It is an amazing device.

He is stating that. I work for Samsung and I've heard the dates of the 4th for AT&T, Sprint and TMO. These are not set in stone dates, as that Carriers can make changes etc. I will be at an AT&T tomorrow and will see if they have a date on their internal side. That way both sides will be covered.

AT&T Note 3 On Sale October 4

I went into my local att store today to play with the display note 3 that just got set up today. When I was chatting with the the sales man about the note 3 he informed me that att would not start selling the note until Friday, October 4th, rather than the 1st as their website would suggest and that rumor reports would have us believe. Obviously, I was a little annoyed and thought he may be simply misinformed, until I called another att store about 5 miles away who stated the same thing. So just as a heads up to any att users out there waiting to pick up a note 3, att will put it on sale Friday 10/4/2013. As for the other issue of being a little dissapointed with the note 3, that's a whole other story for another thread.

I found the same when visiting a local AT&T store as well.
One more week of waiting, while using the Galaxy Nexus as my backup phone....painfully...
Actually, what I'm disappointed for the moment is the lack of accessory options, especially good covers.
I can't wait to have the option of getting a leather wallet case for this new device!

Today I went in hoping to check out the Note 3 before it came out however I was bummed out when the guy said, "Yeah those dont come out until the 4th." To which I replied, "Well do you have one on display so that I dont have to spend a lot of time checking the phone out before purchasing it on the 4th, seeing as it may be a little crowded?". He then said, "Nope we wont have any of them in stock until the 4th when the phone is released." I think I will wait until the Note 3 and One Max come out, compare in store, and then make my purchase online so they wont get any commision.

what I don't get is what carriers gain by not giving out the correct release dates? Especially to people who are coming in to actually buy the phone.. . I mean what business practice or marketing benefit Could this possibly be ? In my eyes it only serves to annoy People who are coming in to sign contracts or in my case drop nearly 800 dollars on a phone, yet they screw us around. I just dont get this kind of business. Anyway, while the maybe old news apparently to Zach I wasn't aware of ATT not releasing the Note 3 on the 1st as their website and media outlets have suggested ... I simply wanted to pass on the info to others in my position waiting around For Note 3, although it did give me the chance to play with it and realize how similar my Note 2 was and 2nd guess my decision or if I do get Note 3, 2nd guess ordering it offline vs. giving att my money. I went to look at the Galaxy Note 3 last night, love the screen, the weight, and the fact it is a little slimmer. Anyways, the reps told me last night it was being sold on the 1st!

If I had a guess, they will ship pre-orders out on the 1st for people that ordered online, but maybe they wont sell in store until the 4th? I feel like something similar happened with the Note 2 if I remember right, but I'm not sure.

I went into an ATT OWned store yesterday - saw the NOTE 3 on display - asked when I could buy it and was told to come back on October 1st.

The video was posted on September 27, so it seems like it was actually being unboxed by an AT&T employee or a reviewer. I've read somewhere on this forum that the AT&T employees did not get the headphone and the other goodies that would normally be shipped to consumers of these phones. Nothing confirmed, but the AT&T website might be the best source.

I was getting nervous reading the negative posts on here, but I was very impressed. Definitely upgrading from the Note 2. I asked the sales rep if the phones would be available on Tuesday and he said "Yes, Tuesday." I hope that is true and he wasn't just agreeing with me.

My inside source, as I stated days ago, said it was the 4th... the 4th is confirmed for in store sales.

I just called the AT&T store in LI, and they told me that people who walk-in to buy the phone won't be able to do so intil the 10th!! People who pre-ordered will be able to get the phone on the 6th at the earliest.
Other stores in the NYC area have said they will have the phone on sale on the 4th as well...

Thanks man great news.

I just called another store on LI (Huntington) and the guy said that they pushed the release until Friday. (the 4th)

Was in am ATT store in Cincinnati about an hour ago they said the first but they could be full of it.

Web site merely states approximate ship dates if you pre-order. I haven't seen anything showing an in-store date on their website..

US Preorder Dates?

Well as the title suggests, im curious if any US carrier has opened preorders yet or if anyone has even heard when they might. Ive read that in the UK they will begin on the 28th. Im with AT&T and they have yet to announce anything in regards to availability or preorders.

The whole secrecy thing about the launch date is baffling given how quick they were last year on the GN3 to announce the dates and get things rolling. Still I look forward to the GS5 and I suspect it will be LAG FREE. Just not sure if its AT&T or Verizon for me at this time.

It is pretty frustrating that a price hasn't been announced nor a pre-order date. I know those are just minor things, but it just makes no sense to me why they are keeping quiet about it. I just want the peace of mind that I preordered it and don't have to worry about anything.

Given the new leaked info about the new HTC One, i may end up passing on the S5. Not knowing when it will be released or even pricing, and the idea that the One may go on sale immediately following its launch is tempting if its true.

It just typical US carrier crap, they drag everything out so you buy whats available today and they can clear out the GS4 stock they have. I just want the 32GB on launch day.

it's the worst.. and S4 stock? these carriers are putting out promotions for the S3! like what idiots would buy an S3 on Contract in 2014 with the S5 launching in 3 weeks? These carriers take advantage of non techie customers.. It really pisses me off. They should have given us a pre-order date or pricing at least. I may hate Apple, but one thing they do right is the iPhone launches. They announce a phone, then put it out within 10 days at all carriers without any delay.

They have the note edge up there also but only a data if fall 2014.
It'd been said that the note edge will be released in the US in Nov 2014.
How many they will have has not been said yet.
I hope they have enough. I sign up to be notified once perorders start.

I spoke with Tmobile customer support over a billing question and asked about the note edge and when they should be released. He said it should be available for pre-order on October 24th and will be available on November 3rd or the 4th. I asked about price but said we only would know when pre-order will be available.

I went to tmobile and samsung online chat and they both didn't know.
But i have heard nov 4th as the date before.
Also I was on another post and it had links to screen protectors that had release dates or nov 15 to 17th.
So it all point for a for sure release of the Note Edge in Nov 2014.
I do know i will preorder it as soon as i get the email to do so.
I'm going to best buy tomorrow since I'll have some time then and I'll check if they got a demo phone.

I'm dying for this phone too but have you seen some of the estimated prices on it? They say about $1200... That's a lot for a phone but thankfully I have enough saved up for it
I can't wait to see what developers are going to do with that side bar

I truly can't see it costing that much.
The iPhone 6 plus 128gb is only $950
So I couldn't see the edge being much more then that.
I really think it should be $800 to $850 that would leave the note 4 $100 cheaper. Which sounds about right.

Verizon CS told me note 4 will be $699.

I also talked to a vzw rep today and was inquiring about the note 4 and was informed the device would be available October the 17th I also asked about the edge and I had to repeat myself then the rep said I didn't know there was a note edge he said were did you see that or hear about the note edge I asked him if he had a computer setting in front of him and he replied yes sir... then I said Google it, after I said that I hung up. Then I started singing.....Oh my starie eyed surprise sundown ta sunrize.....gettn jiggy wit it....da da da da da da da.....sheeeewie

If Verizon and the other carriers were NOT getting the Edge then they were all stupid to put these up on their websites

the USA carriers have "ordered" Note Edge from samsung, that' why it' on their website.
NoteEdge is on display and you can play with it on selected BestBuy, if there is no plan for Edge in usa, it wouldnt be displaying on Best Buy.

Idk where everyone is getting these facts.
It's 100% coming to the USA.
I also highly doubt it will be $1,200.
More like $850 to $950.
Now limited stock I believe. I can see them selling out fact and needing a month between resupply.
But that's pretty much it.

The VZW rep also said they get notified every 30 days of new devices. I am wondering what and if I will use the curved part of screen or just save the 700 bucks and stay with my note 2 which runs nice , but geeks have to be happy with their electronics lol.

The Galaxy Note 4 will be the true successor to last year’s Galaxy Note 3 and it will go on sale with a number of high-powered features starting in mid-October. The Galaxy Note Edge release date had, up until today, been non-existent with vague information pointing to a possible release after the Galaxy Note 4.

Was just at my local TMO and was test driving the Edge. They have no official date but said the same thing "Most likely after the Note 4 release".

While asking someone working in a tmobile store, he said that the phone will cost around $1200, which was followed up by his manager saying that it translate to a bit more than $50 a month. Seriously hope that the price premium is not that high...
