Installing CWM - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all, I am having great difficulties installing CWM recovery on my i9507 after I rooted my device with CF AUTO ROOT.
First I used this guide but got stuck with the .dll error when trying to run Heimdall. Even after I installed Visual Studio many times!
Next I tried flashing with Odin but only got a seandroid not enforcing error every time I did. I can still run my phone fine and my Knox warranty has still not been tripped.
I hope someone can help!
Matt

Just flash it with Odin and uncheck auto-reboot before flashing.

Maybe try it with one from here https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/jfltezm/
Download md5.tar file and uncheck auto reboot on odin

Ok. Thank you! I will report back here and see what happens. I don't think that I had auto reboot checked though.

I am using Odin 1.85. I still get the seandroid not enforcing error, however I did manage to boot into CWM once after it said the error.
HELP!?

How come it doesn't work then? It just turns off afterwards.

I just realized that I was holding down the power button as well as the home and volume down for too long. The power button kept turning it off! I feel so stupid!!!!
Does each flash overwrite the last one or will I have like 10 unused recovery files?

seandroid not enforcing error means you have a custom recovery with a stock rom. Not compatable.

Recovery is not Seandroid Enforcing is normal.
Take your battery out and try to get into recovery, then reboot. If not just reflash CF auto root again...make sure you have the right version also, the latest one is for Kitkat not jelly bean!!
And learn your lesson too... READ before you mess around with your device...especially if you are gonna post about being upset and sick due to your own error
EDIT: PS Read THIS

When u flash the auto root, try unticking auto reboot. Then manually reboot when they say restart on odin

Also make sure you have the right version of CF Auto Root. I had the same problem but realised I downloaded the version that only works on 4.4 bootloaders.

SEAndroid recovery will stay as long as you have rooted/installed a custom recovery. It is nothing at all to worry about.. Want rid of it? flash stock no root, no custom recovery. Back to 100% Official status again.
I just dropped the HERP A DERP DOH!

Double check you have the right CF, untick Auto-reboot in ODIN (Use 1.85) - Run it, then once it goes to PASS in ODIN, reboot your device manually

Try flashing stock firmware. Make sure correct one. Then if can bootup. Flash custom recovery first instead of rooting. See if able to enter recovery mode. If can then proceed to install auto root , using the manual reboot method. If it fails reflash autoroot again.

SM-G900S bootloop after trying to root

Good afternoon guys,
i have a big issue with my galaxy s5 SM-G900S (korean version). I bought it as a refurbished device. Knox was on 0x1 so something may have been modified.
It came with the stock (?!) android 4.4.2 from march14. I tried to update but it returned a registration error. Probably because knox is 0x1
In any case, I activated usb debugging and tried to root the phone using cfautoroot and the corresponding root file: CF-Auto-Root-klteskt-klteskt-smg900s.zip which I still assume to be the correct one.
I used odin for flashing. The device was properly connected (blue).
Everything seemed to go smooth until the phone restart when it said "recovery is not seandroid enforcing". I tried several times with both odin 3.07 and 3.09 but i cannot pass this step. I also tried the method to untick auto reboot, shut the phone down manually and boot into recovery mode but it failed.
This means I am now stuck in the bootloop. I can access download mode, but i cannot reach recovery mode. Also the phone is not recognized by the computer if i try to connect it to adb, kies etc. Odin seems to connect properly still.
Alright how should i proceed now?? My actual target is to flash a custom rom. I will need to go for a dirty flash now correct? Should I flash a stock rom with odin? If yes, which one?
Please support me a bit, I am very frustrated on this topic, especially cause I still dont realize my mistake......
Merry Christmas and greets from Bavaria, Germany.
cheeet
Flash the stock firmware to get out of boot loop. After flashing the stock firmware, everything should be working fine and booting again. Instead of using CF auto root, flash a custom recovery like TWRP and then use it to flash the SuperSU zip.

Alright, Im back to stock android 4.4.2 now. Works perfect, aside from registration. If I click on "update now" it shows: SKT-USIM required.
Can someone link a detailed guide for flashing cm13? I checked the web but i still dont entirely understand.
In any case I do not want to risk going into a tricky situation once more.....
Thanks in advance.

[A700FD] Root Problem galaxy A7

OK guys,
well after i updated to new lolipop via kies i didn't like it so i downgraded again to kitkat 4.4.4. Now its been almost 2 weeks trying everything i know and can to root my phone again but so far i can not .
i used CF-Auto-Root-a7lte-a7ltexx-sma700fd with base "A700FDXXU1AOA2_HOME.tar" all via odin and still won't work everytime i try to root i get this stupid error "Recovery is not Seandroid Enforcing set | warrnty bit: recovery"
i tried everything wipe date-hard factory reset .... everything it just won't get done -_->
so i tried kingroot and now boom it worked BUT i want to install SuperSu and it won't install bianry i tried everything from supersu me to terminal console trick and still won't get done and i need SuperSu coz i like it more and it works better with Lucky Patcher plus i already got it premium XD
so what did i do wrong? why i can't root it and get this stupid error ?
P.S
1-in odin mode there is this blue text 'Secure download on "
2-could this all relate to knox some how ?
"Recovery is not Seandroid Enforcing set warranty bit: recovery" is not an error, its a warning and means nothing.
When downgrading to kitkat you need to wipe the data partition.
Flash the stock firmware, wipe the Data partiton, boot to android (10mins), reboot to download mode, flash cfautoroot.
If cfautoroot doesn't work flash TWRP then flash Supersu.

You already have it: CF-Auto-Root-a7lte-a7ltexx-sma700fd
Are you sure you used the correct TWRP?

TWRP Install Issue

Hey guys so sorry hassle you but im unable to find a remedy, im wanting to root and flash cfw to my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge int. SM-G935F on version 6.0.1. I started by following instructions which said to start by flashing "twrp-3.0.0-0-hero2lte.img" via Odin which i done, than to enter recovery mode so i can install "No Verity" and "Super SU". I can not get into recovery mode no matter how many times i try, Odin says PASS when i flash TWRP but when i try to enter recovery i just get a screen saying "recovery is not seandroid enforcing". I've tried re-flashing but no good i've also read about trying "CF Auto Root" is this a path i should go down ?? so if someone can please help me it will be very much appreciated as i am stuck.

You are not flashing the latest then it seems, latest is 3.0.2.4, in odin turn of auto reboot.

Phone bricked itself??? Everything was stock. No custom anything, not even rooted.

My stock Note 3 (SM-N900W8) running Lollipop, suddenly showed Set Warranty Bit: kernel. It was not rooted, no custom ROMs, nothing done to it at all. My only input into causing this was reinserting the battery - it then booted up into this error. Ran flawlessly until it didn't. I can not get into recovery. The only thing I can do is get to the downloading screen.
To that end, I've downloaded the Bell ROM for SM-N900W8 android 5.0 using latest ODIN (3.13.1). ODIN shows pass but it boots back into recovery booting Set Warranty Bit: recovery error. I tried a recovery .tar file too to reset the recovery file but no luck there either. Error is still the same (i.e. Set Warranty Bit: recovery) which is showing now...
Nothing has worked using ODIN. I don't know if this is a hard or soft brick?
{EDIT} Obviously I am VERY new to this. I HAVE read everything about how to fix this and I've tried many many times with ODIN downloads. Also tried a TWRP file, and so on. Many, many hours later I have made no progress.
I just need one person to point me in the right direction!!!
Would my next step be to use an SD card with an image file?
ANY help appreciated.
