Hello all, I was given this old droid razr m today. It was currently running android 4.1.2 with the build 9.8.1q-78. I rooted it with towelroot and tried to unlock the bootloader (which failed), so I resorted to safestrap.
On safestrap I tried flashing this one rom which apparently didn't work on safestrap. I forgot to wipe. After I flashed the rom, I rebooted. The bootloader said this:
Code:
Failed to hab check for boot: 0x56
Fastboot Reason: Boot Failure
Status code was 8 or something.
I tried flashing VZW_XT907_4.1.2-9.8.1Q-66_1FF.xml.zip from here but it failed:

Thanks, any help is appreciated.
It looks like it failed because you tried to downgrade. You need to flash firmware that's is the same as yours or newer. Since you need to flash the same or newer, flash the 4.4 firmware, root with Towel Root, and unlock with Motopocalypse (yes, it is possible to unlock on the latest OTA).

Alright, thanks. I'm downloading the 4.4 firmware now. I'll report back with the results.
It won't let me link an image so, http puu.sh / bkzAY / 207f945b1d.png
Probably not a good sign.
EDIT: Removed the offending line from the xml file and reloaded it... it flashing now.
EDIT2: It fails.

EDIT3: Flashing system.img manually worked. It's booting now!
Good to see things worked out.

Hello everyone!
Actually I am on stock Android, version 4.3, without root, bootloader onlock, etc. So it's untouched.
Now I would like to flash the following mod:
[MOD][NEXUS 4][4.3 + 4.2.2][DEODEX + ODEX][STOCK ROM] 1% Battery Mod
I want to do it with Mobile ODIN Pro. Before that, I was planing to root my Nexus with the Nexus Root Toolkit.
Do I need to unlock the bootloder as seen in the screenshot? Or is just a root sufficient?

Thank you very much in advance!
Does Mobile Odin even work with the Nexus 4? I was under the impression it mostly for Samsung products.
Why not root, install custom recovery and flash with custom recovery?
I want to get the OTA updates from google. It is not possible with a custom recovery. Is there another away? I just need this one mod.
Take the SystemUI.apk out and manually replace each battery icon in the correct folder.

Do I need a root for it? (noob question)
I read something about a possibility to load into recovery, install things and after a reboot the recovery should be deleted automatically. Or did I get something wrong?

You will need root to get to SystemUI.apk (you might be able to pull with ADB but I'm not 100% sure.
A custom recovery will not delete itself.
You can't replace the ROM installed at time of locking with another or you get a black screen. And I don't think mobile Odin is for nexus 4 being a Samsung program.

You can also use the toolkits to bring up a custom recovery temporarily without actually flashing it, so you can keep your stock recovery.

I rooted it, flashed a custom recovery and installed the mod. If google releases an update, I will flash it manually. No need for OTA Updates.
Thank you very much!
Hello everybody !
If you have downgraded from Lolipop to a KitKat ROM and you have issued black screen during call, I have find the solution:
You don't need to flash the Stock ROM. Just flash a Modem from a Stock ROM, Lolipop Modem doesn't work fine on KitKat, proximity sensor is busy and the screen don't wake up during call.
You can find here the latest Stock Modem (XNPH05Q) : MEGA | MediaFire
MD5 : 2fff2a1d9719294db84b714f4389ce6f
You don't need to wipe anything and it doesn't wipe anything. Just flash it and enjoy

Can't get it to install with TWRP. When I try to do it, TWRP restarts. On reboot still get black screen on phone call. Is it indeed flashable from recovery?
Yay, of course, it's a flashable .zip, do you use the latest release of TWRP (2.8.6.X) ?

Mmh, I try to flash and it's works fine, here a screenshot :

Then there's something wrong with the recovery or file. Try Calkulin's modem? If it fails again I think there is something wrong with your TWRP. Btw, you need to manually fastboot erase modem in order to flash the KK modem. Last time I tried it won't let me overwrite Lollipop modem with KK modem.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-one/development/rom-stock-rooted-xnph05q-t3027033
I can overwrite LP modem with KK modem.
The flashable zip seems work fine on two OnePlus. I think it's his recovery who doesn't work
TWRP 2.8.6.0, haven't had any issues with it aside with this. Just tried flashing it, didn't know I needed to fastboot erase the LP modem.
Probably better it didn't work when I tried; made me go in search of a different rom I haven't tried yet [emoji51]
Hi there, I've been having problems with the Titanium Backup recently and tried some troubleshooting method such as unticking Mount namespace separation in SuperSU. They didn't work until i get to the point on updating the SuperSU from Play store. Then asked me to update the binary which i selected TWRP and it rebooted. After the installation from TWRP, it only boots to recovery. Tried turning off the phone and it still go to recovery even if i select reboot system.
Now i tried re-flashing the 'CF-Auto-Root-a7lte-a7ltexx-sma700fd.tar' via Odin3. It completed but then it's only boot looping. Sure i know it would reset multiple times but it has been more than 30mins doing like that over and over again. Tried to flash the TWRP again via Odin and wiped data/system/cache. And tried installing the Ressurection rom but it fails it gives me error "E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/external_sd/A7 Root and all/Roms/RessurectionRemix........"
Error flashing zip........
Then tried rebooting system. It said no OS installed proceed to reboot then saying device does not appeared to be rooted and asked me to install SuperSU which I did and it just restarted and still on boot loop....
Any help, please? TIA

Are there any custom recoveries out there for our s7 edge t mobile? I have it rooted now but are there any recoveries? I have been searching and had no luck.

No there arent. To flash stuff you need to download flashfire from the play store. It works just like twrp but it's a app. When you want to flash something you will select the plus sign in the bottom right corner and select zip. It's super easy to use
Thought i had found a recovery for some odd reason, and it was def. Exynos twrp. There a way to flash the stock recovery img? Im thinking of flashing through flashfire but im afraid after flashing it actually wouldnt wipe since there seems to be no recovery, only a download mode menu, whilst saying recovery booting.

I personally haven't tried but if you want to risk bricking go for it. If it's any comfort, I doubt anything will happen. Worse case scenario is that it installs, you trip Knox and unable to mount the system partition and won't be able to boot it up. But even then... Odin should still be possible. But again... I wouldn't risk it. I'm fairly sure that it's been tried. There is a QC version of the recovery somewhere that never worked via Odin back in June or so.
I personally was the first to attempt flashing twrp via flashfire. it will not work. DM-Verity kicks in and will not allow it to load. you get a BRIEF flicker of twrp loading up and it loads the failed integrity check. the good news was i was able to flash the stock files and got it loading again with no KNOX trip or errors.

Hey strangers,
Does anyone got any ideas about recovering this phone wihtout wiping it's data? It's supposed to have ADB enabled, but it won't boot to OS.
Video:
I would prefer to get to backup it, but recovery is unacessable and Download mode most likely works but it's not 100% sure.

Haven't yet, but should I be able to just fix the bootloader and it should work? If yes, how should it be done? Backup first though, probably.
Bootloaders in the bootloader and modem threads.
I have flashed the OS fully to the phone, but now it's in a bootloop trying to go to recovery which for some reason does not work neither does flashing TWRP as it stil won't boot to the recovery.
Does anyone happen to have a PIT file for this device?
Exact model: SM-N9005 (International version)

Nope didin't help at least the same pit file as the one user reported as working, but started a thread on sammobile forums.
EDIT: I were able to boot to OS once, but don't know how. This is really wierd behavior.
