Guys, i just flashed tynnt ROM (std version) recently and all videos captured using the camera when played back are out of sync.
1. Video just plays too fast - but audio is ok. This is in WMP.
2. Video plays ok in TCPMP, but as normal there's this sound problem where sound was lost after a few seconds playback.
Anyway to resolve no 1? Reflashing ROM is the last thing i want to do (i'm sure i did it right, i flashed so many ROMs before and certain the file downloaded isn't corrupted).
Thanks!
no one to help
anyway i tried again today after several days and playback seems fine now.. guess it resolved by itself.
When playing music via PowerAmp, and then going into Google Talk the music cuts off. It will play fine until I enter Google Talk and then it will shut off and I'll have to go into it and restart the song I was listening to.
I've also noticed that when listening to music in the stock music player my music will randomly stop as well. I never had any issues until I flashed Xtreme kernal a few days ago and now I cant listen to music consistently. And that is very important to me.
Is anyone else having this issue? If it turns out to be an issue with the way my phone is responding to the kernal, how do I go about flashing back to the stock kernal?
I had similar issues with every music player I tried just stopping randomly. I thought it was Syndicate ROM, as I was getting the same problems with both Extreme Kernel and Phoenix Kernel. I assumed I just had a bad install somehow since no one else in the ROM thread seem to have that problem when I posted about it. However, music players have been working fine on the various Froyo builds I've tried, so I quit worrying about it and didn't really do any thorough testing.
I updated to 3.1 and tried playing few movies...but no sound at all
i tried with nemo and mobo...but with music files there is sound..
how to fix this?
I'm running taboonay and occasionlly lose sound with videos, but other app sounds still work. Usually a reboot clears it up for me. Don't know if thats the same issue.

I noticed the same thing right after I updated. No sound with movies, no matter what player or what format.
I tried playing some music to see if that was affected also. When I launched PowerAmp (great app, btw), my music also has no sound...but for just a couple of seconds. The sound came back for my music (after fiddling with the volume controls) and then after I checked, it was back for my movies.
Try that out. Maybe it will work for you.

If it didn't work on 3.0 then check if the sound is maybe AC3.
There are problems with that.
I found that Vplayer is able to play it with sound, so you may try that also.
In my case it plays 720P movies with AC3 sound without any problem.
So i bought it, after trying the trial version
I'm also using vplayer. I tried Rock player (loved it on my phone and hated it on my tablet) and MoboPlayer (hated the confusing playlist that added all the movies even those I didn't want to add).
So far no problems with 720p or anything else even when streaming (unless I have low signal).
Now it works..i installed the Roboplayer and its codec...did a reboot and then it started playing...thinking how could acer ship it leaving the user to fix it

Then save your data and do a hard reset. It will get you up and running.
do you mean the factory reset? if so i tried that and it still doesn't play anything?
I'm assuming it was mere coincidence for me, but after I got the update, I tried to play a movie off of my thumb drive. Movie played without using ntfs mount, but I had no sound. I had sound when I clicked on the screen, and when I typed. Ended up unrooting, then rooting with the new IconiaRoot1.3 and after a reboot, sound and video playback worked no problem. Also used the netflix patch and it worked perfectly too.
i still have the same issue after i tried the solutions that allrady posted so please help..
i'm new in this form (^_^)....
Solved my no sound issue.
After playing around with several players, I discovered an option in MXplayer and Rockplayer that gives you the option to select Hardware decoding or Software Decoding. Using Hardware decoding, I didn't get any sound. When I switched to Software decoding, all my movie sounds started working. In the MXplayer, I did have to go in and "clear records" under preferences for the sound to start working.
I hope this helps others too.

yeah ... u get sound this way ... but the movie is very choppy ..
when u select hardware decoding the movie is smoooooth but no sound
I had this exact problem last night after updating and figured out what was causing it. The update made MoboPlayer default back to hardware decoding. I changed the setting back to software decoding and presto, I have sound again. Hope the same is true for you.
Sorry, just noticed that wirles said the same thing. I am noticing no issues with choppiness, but the videos I play are usually not HD.
yeah .. i know .. but the video is choppy again.
My atrix is ATT version, and everal days ago I updated to 2.3.4 by installing Cherryblur 1.4d, then changed to Alien #2.
Today I noticed the phone having audio playback issues: when playing music, it sometimes stutters, especially during locking/unlocking screen.
I have tried 2 different audio players: stock and Meridian player, but both of them have this issue. Is is common? Do you guys have such problem?
Yes I've noticed this as well. To me, it seems to be whenever the OS is *doing something*. So if I'm loading another app, for example, it will give a little "ffvvtttzzzfffttt" in the playback.
That being said, I haven't noticed it doing it anymore... Seems to have stopped by itself...
Hi all,
I have an issue where music I've downloaded onto my device using my Play Music subscription, will start to skip after playing for a while. Usually, it will work finr for 15 or so minutes, but after that, the music will start skipping every few minutes.
Notes
This happens regardless of whether the music is stored internally or on an SD card
I've tried multiple sets of headphones
It works fine on another device (s7 edge)
Playing with settings (such as Dolby) doesn't seem to change anything
I'm running stock Nougat
Any thoughts would be most welcome.
I started having skipping issues while playing music using a different music app, Xenoamp, but only after upgrading to Nougat.
I switched to another music app, that is probably a little lighter on resources and have no issues now.
Is shouldn't be this way, but I think Nougat is a resource eater. I'm hoping the next update will fix this.
