I bought a broken AT&T G2 that the buyer did a bad flash or something with. Doing some playing around on the phone I see that the phone is d800/ AT&T G2, with what to appears to be a d802 firmware in it. Phone turns on and boots up to main screen but touch screen doesn't respond well and it reboots after maybe 1 min or two.
I have tried lg flash tool but get failed because it reads the phone as d802 and the dll/tot file are for the d800 and doesn't give me an option to proceed. Also tried LGMLauncher but doesn't download the software, gets stuck at 11%.
Any other help will be appreciated, if not I'll resell this phone.

Going give this a try again. But the issue is if my pc has enough time to sync with the phone before the phone reboots.
I've tried something along those lines but to no avail. My phone doesn't show up on my computer in its current status. How can I get map to recognize my phone I have the drives installed and lg upgrade tool can see it so I know it can kinda see it. When I ran Adb devices nothing comes up on the ASB command prompt

don't think that's going to work for my situation but I'll give it a try in a bit. So I would get a d800 rom and load d802 .dll? I think once the program sees the .dll file and the firmware, it will fail.

Hahaha tried this one to and the one it links me too. My phone isn't reconized my my computer so doing things throught the PCs CMD is out of the question for me and so is pushing the boot .img via ADB since my phone wasn't In debugging mode when I bricked it. But again thanks man. I think I've exhausted most of the conventional fix it threads on this since I've been looking through everything since Sunday
I tried almost every way i saw on the forums, i have a d802 rom on my ls980 when I go to lg flash stock it fails and says cannot cross install d802 to ls980. Ive seen some with the same problem, if anyone has a solution please Help,I used optimus 1 click tool and it factory reset my phone but it was still on the same rom and now I cant even get into download mode.

I have optimus G pro 2 build, no recovery mode, the touch screen is off so it's difficult for me to maneuver around the phone, I can get it into USB debugging mode, I'm not sure if the factory reset remove the root or not. when I hold all three buttons volume up volume down and power key it goes into this mode asking me if I want to use the volume keys to answer the phone. as I think of the rest of the problems I will post them. thanks in advance

Not sure but try this http://www.lg-phones.org/how-to-flash-unbrick-lg-g2-back-to-stock.html
What is your g2 model number
If your g2 is ls980 and lg flash tool think it is d802 try flash with d802 tot file first
note . You must use dll from kdz firmware
Extract dll from kdz using kdz extractor
Dll name must name as LGUP_XXXX
Flash with d802 tot
After you g2 will force to fastboot mode
That fastboot we need
If u are on fastboot
eras your recovery and flash your original laf.img using fastboot (You can find this tut by google suck as lg g2 fastboot)
that will make your download mode came back and now u can flash with your ls980 tot firmware without error

ok thanks for the reply. I just got my g2 2 days ago wasn't paying attention and pulled a dummy move and formatted data instead of formatting system and erased everything off the phone. erased my nandroid, efs, etc. I still have twrp but since my efs partions are gone my thinking was I should just go back to stock. I could side load but I really wanted to figure this out so if I ever have a warrenty issue I will know how to get the phone back to out of box stock. I got the phone brand new with LS980ZVA on it. any suggestions? should I side load? what about efs? also I don't mean to hijack this thread. thanks for any help in advance

I've done the exact same thing that you did and I found it was easier to revert back to stock but I guess it depends on how familar you are with the process of doing so. It's definately worth learning as well. Plenty of good forums on how to do it.

ok I appreciate the advice, but all I can find is a LS980ZV7.tot. not a LS980ZV8.tot or a LS980ZVA.tot. ive been researching this literally for hours and hours now. my brain hurts. what I really want to know is if I do the LS980ZV7.tot, go that route, will I be able to get back to LS980ZVA (latest update) thru OTA update? also how do I know the .tot file I have is the 32g and not the 16g? that's making me nervous. ive read where quite a few people have done this and thought they were using the 32g version or whatever and they flashed and then their phone was only 16g and lost the 16g of storage. idk man. im coming from a lg optimus g and the development over there on that phone and procedures and all of that is way more easier to understand and cut and dry. over here on the sprint g2 as far as trying to find clear answers, its just not as easy I guess. maybe im not looking in the right places.

here is a stock ZV8 http:slahslashdownloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/LS980/Stock_Firmware (Thank, autoprime), I know ZVA is floating around, just search and you should find it.
Also just a little piece of info I picked up along the way, I used the correct .dll (LGLS980_20130904_LGFLASHv151) and renamed it to the reported models .dll (LGUP_8974), after doing this LGFlash Tool then ran the update, as normal. best of luck!
Today i wanted to update to the latest stock 4.4.2 rom but i accidentally installed the d801 version of the rom. Now my phone is stuck in fastboot mode and i dont know what to do. It is a d802 international model. When i trie going into download mode i only see it 1 second and then the fastboot screen pops up again. I cant go in recovery mode also because when i get in the factory reset mode it looks different and no matter what i do i always return to the fastboot mode. Spend some time searching the internet today and i couldn't find something that helped. I saw this though: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2522808 so you can do it the other way around. It would be nice if someone could help me

Are there other ways to do that? ADB is not detecting my device(because debug mode is not on i think) and recovery and download mode are not working too
Maybe this thread might help you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477595
there are a ton of resources on this site for recovering from this error, use the search in the top right corner, it has been done many, many times. How I got around flashing an incorrect 801 ROM is to put the phone in Download Mode, install drivers, then set ports, open LG Flash Tool load the correct firmware and use the correct .dll but rename the .dll to the model reported by flash tool, this should let flash tool run and update the phone with your correct SW version.
To get back into D/L mode use the thread Drachenminister posted I have used it before and it works, best of luck!

Thanks for the reply (its the first one I've had on this forum)
I've found a few 4.4.2 kdz files but every method I've tried to use to flash them either results in them getting stuck at 49% (47% on the computer) or a softbrick.
The only way I managed to go from 4.2.2 to 4.4 was by using the TOT method.
I just cant find a tot file for my f320k

I've tried those methods an it gets as far as loading the support tool and everything look like its working with the % going up, but then it gets stuck at 49%.
I've looked on some forums and this seems to be a common problem but I've tried all the solutions posted and none of them work.
The only way I'm then able to bring the phone back to life I'd by using the TOT method.
I'm even having trouble installing a recovery as they all seem to boot me into a black screen
I just tried it again and it seems that when it gets stuck at 49% it give this error:
Indirect Internal / PC to Phone send start
FIXED
For anyone else having this problem then just use these settings instead:
in RD test tool, choose: CDMA instead of 3GQCT
CS emergency instead of diag
then click on CSE web upgrade test instead of normal web upgrade test.
That should stop you getting stuck at 49%.
