[L7] Bootloop - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Its my first time with lg
My brother has l7 and it was very laggy. He was still on ics, so i flashed jb using kdz (i also debranded it). So i was on v20d, but with only system apps it gives ~100mb of free ram, so i thought about cm.
I got v20d rooted+cwm+unlocked bl, flashed it, than cm10.2 - everything was fine, cm booted, but i found oc kernel for 4.3, tried it and after that i got stuck on LG logo (i got lg bootloader logo->black screen->lg bootloader logo second time, but this time bootloop).
So i flashed rooted one v20d again, but got stuck on rom logo (this one with sound and blinking part). So i tried nonrooted one, but the same happen.
I know that i had cwm, but couldnt boot into it using buttons (it should be vol+ + vol- + home + power, but it just stuck me in lg bootloader logo).
It seems that i cant make wipe, coz only buttons method is available, and that method brings lg bootloader logo bootloop.
However every where i find that wipe combination is vol+ + vol- + home + power. Is it right?
PS. I tried this combination one more time and got "recovery mode"
Thanks in advance

flash the kdz (non root)
now - http://www.hard-reset.com/lg-optimus-l7-p700-hard-reset.html
Now it should boot, hopefully!

Thanks. It worked. I saw this site, but choose lg.com for lg p705 (no real difference with p700) and i dont know why (there is vol- + power + menu) I rad it as vol- + vol+ + home + power (i should ask myself).
Good that i always made backup so now it was really fast to get back to working cm10.2
Thanks again

It worked, but i again had a problem. I flashed cm and wanted few mods, but got bootloop. It happens, so as i cant get to recovery using combination I flashed stock rom, so I need to do factory reset, but when phone boots, bottom doesnt light up, so menu doesnt work. Tried flashing nonroot kdz few times, but nothing help...
EDIT: When using vol+ with power the bottom lights up, but with vol- doesnt...

Hmm, I'm no good at L7. @F4uzan can help you maybe. He had once told that the recovery entering combination depends on a few factors.
Which recovery do you have BTW?

Im not sure of recovery version (it was part of the kdz) and i didnt thought that it will be needed so I didnt remember it, but i think it was 6.0.3.x (dont remember last number).
PS. Maybe someone has kdz, which works for him/her and knows recovery/factory reset combination on it, so I could try it on my phone?

The odyssey to install cyanogenmod 10 on my L5. Have a seat!

Hello
I'm here to discuss about the unlocking of my new LG Optimus L5. I'll start saying that it come oot with Android 4.1.2 and the LG mod v20b.
I wanted to delete all the LG stuffs that slow the phone so i decided to root+unlock bootloader+install CWR+flash CM10 and Gapps.
I started following this page and tried all the root methods; only the one using a modified kdz worked.
After that i tried to unlock the bootloader, succeeding only after a day of tries. The problem was the Superuser app (it won't allow the ADB shell to edit the bootloader information even if it was allowed. I don't know why ), so i installed superSU and all went right.
After that i installed ROMmanager, which allowed me to flash the CWR, but i was able to enter it only if the USB cable was disconnected (again i don't know why ).
Inside the CWR i wiped bot caches, i did factory reset and flashed CM10+ Gapps; unfortunately i installed the wrong Gapps, denying me the Camera app, and few more little bugs...
So i decided to flash the righ one (gapps-jb-20121011-signed), but after that, all google services was crashing, so i decide to factory reset all and reinstalla CM+Gapps (the righ one this time)
The fate decided to curse me, sending the phone in bootloop after the flashing.
Hopeless, i tryed to flash again the modded firmware with the kdz flasher to retore the phone at the first passage, but it remained in bootloop (this time with the LG logo, not with the Cyanogen one).
I'm now trying to restore the original kdz (the v20d not modded) hoping for some miracle.
Someone have a hint to help me? The only thing i know now is that i can put the phone in download/emergency mode or remain in bootloop.
As far as i know the only way to enter the recovery is from SU binaryes in this f***ing phone, so no key combination to enter in it at startup.
Try to hard reset phone.GYF(google it for informations).

I'm trying the keys combinations, but nothing... I may pressing the wrong ones
Switched off the phone, press and hold the Volume down key + Power key with your left hand.
When the LED on the bottom of the phone lights up, touch and hold the Menu key with your right hand. You need to do this immediately, before the screen displays the LG logo. Make sure your left hand is still holding the Volume down and Power keys. Then release the power key when the phone begins to vibrate.
When the LG logo is displayed on the screen, continue to hold the keys for around two seconds, and then release all them at the same time, before the LG logo disappears.

EDIT:
This one actually made me do an hard reset: Home+vol- +power on press all these 3 keys till it vibrates than release power on key and after a fev secs appears the android reset screen

[Q] Unrooted my phone by accident and it can't boot now

Hi guys, skipping the introductions, I somehow unrooted my F320S (I have no idea how!) and am currently unable to use even the download mode to get back to stock ROM.
Technical details:
F320S, Korean LG G2.
Was rooted since October
Lao Hong rom (before the upgrade)
The story behind it:
1) I upgraded my phone to 4.4 on "Rom VDT-V9 Cho LG G2 4.4 Kitkat" and found myself unable to access the recovery menu. I thought it was an outdated TWRP (2.6.3.2) causing the inability to access the recovery and decided to flash CWM (6.0.4.4), but was still unable to access the recovery. Even though I had flashed CWM, it did not cause any problems as I used the phone as normal during the week up until today.
2) Wanting to remove the navigation bar, I messed with the build.prop file and caused the system to "brick", and being unable to access recovery, I went to download mode (yes this isn't the first time I bricked the G2) and went through the mobile support tool hoping to revert to stock.
3) However, I got stuck in a bootloop on the boot animation screen and read on a reply to the thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=49822996&postcount=1794&nocache=1&z=448867873440083) to do a hard reset on the device (Press vol down and power, then press power when the LG logo shows) but the confirmation failed to appear.
4) Now, I'm stuck in an endless bootloop, unable to access recovery (as I suddenly became unrooted) or do a hard reset (hard keys do not work) and unable to use the download mode to revert to stock (endless boot loop after the upgrade completes).
edit: It seems like when I'm doing the upgrade in download mode, the phone finishes the upgrade before the mobile support tool. I don't remember this happening last time I did it...

Try this...Hold the vol down and power and have it reboot at which point hold just the power button till it turns off. At that point try the volume down power till LG logo and then just power and see if that lets you access the recovery. I fought many times with the buttons to try and get into recovery and the easiest way was always with the phone off to start with.

I've been trying to get into hard reset this way for the past hour or so, but I think it might be a different key combination for the Korean models? Accessing recovery mode was vol up+power for mine too. I tried with both vol up and vol down, holding vol down all the way and releasing it after the lg logo boots, but i still have yet to find the right combination.
Thankfully I'm not fully crippled as I have my trusty S3, but I'd like to get the G2 up and running.
Just wondering if the fact that it was unsyncronized while in download mode affected anything? My G2 shut off before the download mode was at 100% complete, and I don't recall that happening the last time I used download mode to unbrick my phone.

[Q] Return to stock BOOTLOOP with NO FACTORY RESET

Hi,
Ive tried to restore my LG G2 to stock becuase the GPS decided it wasnt going to work anymore.
Things seemed to go smoothly (after a lot of reading) but now with the stock firmware installed I have a bootloop.
Holding down the vol down and power button to get to factory reset doesnt work either, it used to.
I can enter download mode.
I have tried using the LG tools to upgrade the firmware and upgrade the recovery.
I have used the offline flash tools as well.
Im stuck
Please help!
Its ok Ive fixed it.
For those who want to know... the newer firmware has a different button combo for the factory reset.
Its hold down POWER and VOL DOWN
Wait for the logo
Then press VOL UP + VOL DOWN
viola!
i love u u r the best

HELP! D802 stuck on bootloop without recovery!

Hello to everyone. After few days with the M7 cyanogenmod on my D802 i finally decided to return to stock one. My phone, originally, was a G2 D802 Vodafone Italy branded with the last 20D firmware. After installing cyano i want to flash the unbranded euro version of D802 (20D). I've downloaded KDZ and follow the guide. Everything works fine but, after flashing this rom, my phone is stucked on boot animation with the led that glowing from green to blue continuously. I've tried to factory reset my phone with keys combination (with phone turned off press vol - and power the first time untill lg logo appears and the second one 1 second after releasing this keys) but nothing happens and the phone still stuck on bootanimation. I've looking for so many guide but every 3ds talk about the factory reset and the recovery, but for me they don't work. I can enter into download mode and after connecting to my phone appear that my phone is unrooted. Please help me, i'm disperated!!!:crying:
key combo for 20d is .. hold power+minus vol.. release at the logo and then press and hold vol + and vol -

Bricked my phone, could someone help me?

Ok, i installed cloudy g2 3.3, then i wanted the stock rom back but my i couldnt get my download mode to work, i hold vol up and then plugged USB, but the lg g2 flash tool didnt work, then i downloaded cm12.1 and flashed it, it worked fine, then i applied KK bootstack and kernel thinking it would fix my download mode, now i cant even get to recovery, i tried vol down + power then vol up+ vol down, it showed something like: "boot security error, boot certification verify" then screen went dark but the LED was on. So now im suck with download mode, wich is not working, security error and cant get into recovery. Only solution i found was using linux, but it says i must use IMG files that correspond to my ROM, but the ROM i had before was cm12.1, so i dont know what to do. I would appreciate if someone could help me with this matter.
I found this about a thread or two down http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3215792
