LG G2 D802 Connectivity issues - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello i have a stock LG G2. I bought it second handed but it is in pretty good condition. I have one really annoying problem though, which seems to affect a lot of LG G2 users.
When i am connected to mobile data connection, the connection drops frequently. I've read that this is an issue with the latest update.
Is there any fix for the problem? I tried turning air plane mode on and off but, hard reset but non of these helps.
If i root my phone will i be able to fix the problem ?
Im really desperate, as i am using mobile network a lot.
Thank you

I remember it being a problem with the Jelly Bean ROMs, but only the earliest ones. I'd try flashing a stock ROM specifically for that device, or try disabling (or enabling if it's disabled) fast dormancy in the hidden menu, might help.
Please tell us specific details about the phone and ROM specs.

[Q] HTC data connection freezing.

Hello all,
Not sure if anyone else is having this problem.
First of all, better to mention what my Aria is running on:
Stock ROM unrooted. Updated to Froyo from HTC via FOTA. I'm not located in the US therefore my phone isn't under AT&T which many here are. My ROM is strictly HTC's Asia's ROM.
Now I don't have much in a way of problems with my phone, its just odd to me that every once in a while (around once every week or so) I need to reboot my phone. This is because for some strange reason, my phone won't connect to the data network (3G) or it shows that it is connected but no data activity (even after I've instructed the phone to sync all information, i.e. weather, emails, etc). I've tried switching on/off the data network connection and also have tried switching between airplane modes on/off (in hopes to reset something) but nothing works.
I'm not sure if this is an inherent problem to the Aria's 2.2 update or if there is something wrong with my carrier, however the problem is ALWAYS FIXED right after a fresh reboot.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Try switching between the different options.

Thanks for the hint thinkhope. I'll try your suggestion. May I ask what you think the problem may be?
Update: I tried it for a couple of days and I still get the same problem. I tried switching between preferred networks but the problem persists. Quick reboot and once again, fixed.
I also have this same problem, stock/custom ROM no matter which ROM the problem is still there, up to a point that made me wanna smash my phone on the ground. I tried to use my SIM card on my wife's SGS and seems like no such problems faced. Is this a common problem for HTC phones?

[Q] Lost 3G network connectivity after froyo upgrade

Hi everyone,
First I'd like to thank those fearless tinkerers that produced (and explained the how-to) the Froyo upgrades for the Huawei s7-104.
I actually bought the device only AFTER downloading the Indonesian upgrade (that was-and still is-the extension of my faith in you).
The process worked like a charm and I successfully checked and confirmed that the new version matched the claimed upgrade.
I later managed to root the device and now even enjoy a longer battery life thanks to CPU Master set on "on demand".
The only problems I encountered were:
- Sometimes the screen orientation gets stuck in horizontal or vertical and the device needs to be rebooted to unlock the orientation. This is minor and doesn't bother me that much.
-I have lost 3G connectivity and neither the carrier nor a mobile lab has managed to get a shred of data into the device with anything but WiFi.
The Network pane says that it's connected and should receive data.
The APN settings should now be reviewed and corrected since I brought the device to the carrier's office and, after their failure to fix the problem, to the lab (they told me they did anyway).
The SIM was then taken out and connected into another device. It received data merrily, proving satisfactorily (at least to the C.Y.A. carrier) that they could not help me further.
Everything else works beautifully, phone, WiFi, GPS, everything...
Any idea? I live in Mexico and the carrier is Movistar.
Thank you in advance.

screen orientation quick fix
can't comment on the 3G problem din really face it
you can try flashing to another rom
Zmey Mod from Belarus! would be a good choice
for screen orientation just install shake n rotate from the market
it's just a quick fix which can settle the problem
Thanks for the shake'n rotate tip! I'll try it!
Never heard of the zmey mod from Belarus. Is it in english or in local lenguage? I'll try to find it anyway.
Anybody out there who's actually had the same network connectivity problem that I've had? Can't be the only one right?
Thanks again,
Thimage
Connectivity recovered
I finally recovered connectivity by looking for the right APN on the web and I found it here:
decibel-elektrobeat.blogspot.com/2011/04/3g-de-movistar-configurado-en-xperia.html
The reason why it didn't work before is because for some reason it is not enough to correct the APN after flashing the Rom. You have to delete it and create a new one.
It works fine now.
Thanks. T

[Q] LG L7 network problem

I have Lg l7 P700 with 4.1.2 v20a europe open, and ocasionali it just lose gsm signal, and shows no network coverage. Noting helps except restarting phone. any ideas???
p.s. sorry for bad english
Hi have also experienced this especially when running GSM only mode. But when on the others the network is abit stable. I don't remember this sort of problem on ICS so it is possible v20a might be the culprit. May be refrashing might solve the issue.

Data Connection Problems (I9500) PLEASE HELPP!!!

Hey guys!!
I am facing a problem here... my phone loses connectivity to data services once on sleep mode and applications like whatsapp only respond when I open the application. Basically push service seems to be stuck.. I tried everything.. switching ROMS, switching Kernels... and switching Basebands... but in vain!!! Ironically everything works fine on wi-fi & i get push messages swiftly.
I strongly feel that this could be a baseband issue and as you all know we cant downgrade our baseband anymore.. I am on UBUBMH1 modem.. iI think so because when i was XXXMEA then I wasn't facing any such problems related to connectivity..can anyone suggest any resolution of wither how can I downgrade my baseband or what can I do to sort this out..
no help???

LG G2 bad wifi

Hello Guys!
My LG G2 wifi had wifi problems only works when in near router how to boost it?Or any wifi boost kernel? It s terrible...How to solve it?
Try to update to latest software as wifi drivers also got updated with lollipop, or stay on stock and flash dorimanx kernel as its a damm neat kernel. You can see the awesome changelogs for the changes. Also how are you holdin your phone. Maybe you are holding it like in a death spot like thing. I never really experienced what you had with my g2
Antenna for WiFi is the same type as for GPS and so may suffer from the same contact problems. You could try the backcover mod for better reception.
It is also possible that it is a IPv6 issue, introduced with Lollipop. At least I had issues with stock L, and apparently it is a common Android Lollipop thingy. I switched off IPv6 in my network and connection, so everything is working good again.
