Just when you thought this was for touchwiz roms only, I've managed to get this working for cm 11 stable build.
I've been tinkering with this for a bit longer than I should have. Special thanks to gharrington (3minit developer) and carl1961 for their extra time and help making this work for me.
Please note that I did not create this mod. I simply modified the systemui using the guide in the original thread linked below. All credit goes to the 3minit team!
So here's the deal:
I made this for my own CM 11 stable rom build. I have not released the rom because it's going to be part of a different project I'm working on. However this will work fine on the official cm 11 stable build.
It may or may not work on nightlies and other cm based roms. Worst case your systemui will fc on you. In which case all you need to do is dirty flash your rom.
This mod allows you to choose from over 1000 battery styles from different users. With a single click you can download a battery style and set it as your new battery! Storage is not affected as the app only downloads the images you use!
Please report if it's working on other cm based roms. But DO NOT complain if it doesn't. That means you didn't read the op in which I'm telling you that this is only meant for CM 11 NOT AOKP, PA OR OTHER ROMS!
I ask that you all check out the original 3minit thread by gharrington and say thanks. We wouldn't have this without him. The thread is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799958
VERSION 2 Changelog:
- now user can select from "colorable" batteries and make their own colors to match their theme
- nomedia file added to prevent images from being seen in gallery
Instructions:
1: Download zip
2: Make a nandroid because if you noob it up it's not my fault!
3: flash zip (cache wiping is not needed and pointless)
4: reboot and you will have a new battery and the 3minit app will be in your app drawer
Hope you enjoy these amazing batteries folks! I've been tinkering with this for too long!

Try cm stable. That's what it's meant for. I'll still look at the nightly builds and see what's going on.

problems since flashing
Okay heres the deal. I was on the newest cm11 stable version. I read through the whole post.. followed the instructions. Made a backup, Flashed the zip and restarted my phone. As soon as it powered on and I got to the lock screen a message started popping up something like "problem with systemUI" Anyways... I cant remember what the whole thing said. So I went in to recovery, reset phone to factory settings, wipe dalvik/cache and then flashed my backup. Then Started phone and then everything was fine for about 5 hours and I got the same message again. Sooooo then I went in to recovery... reset to factory setting- wipe dalvik/cache and then flashed a different rom. Paranoid Android Beta, And it was doing fine And about 5 hours and then I get the same system error message like I got when I flashed your MOD. So again I went to recovery, did another full wipe and reset. Next I flashed the Purity plus Rom. Well once again it was working fine for 5 hours and I get the error message again, I have been timing it since the first time I started getting the error message. I am wondering how do I get this to STOP? Its driving me crazy. My only choice is to restart the phone and hope it doesnt keep giving me the error message. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt. So please tell me there a fix to this? There has to be a way to undo whatever it is I did when I originally flashed your zip. None of my backups are successful in making the error message stop showing up. Not even my STOCK backup. So someone ANYONE please help!!! Im about to throw this phone across the room!

Sounds like you're not getting a full wipe when flashing a new ROM. What recovery are you using. If by chance the systemui does fc a dirty flash should actually restore everything. I highly recommend twrp and be sure when doing full wipe to select under advanced : wipe system. Wiping cache and dalvik are not needed as it gets wiped anyway.
I'll update this either tonight or tomorrow to make this work on a few different roms.

Cm12.1 2015-05-10
So today I attempted getting 3 Minit Mod working on CM12.1
But after every attempt (Over 7 haha) I have failed.
I have been trying on the latest nightly 2015-05-10,
everything goes smoothly, but after overwriting the
SystemUI.apk and rebooting, my phone has a seizure.
Can anyone offer a hand with this? @markbencze?
This is definitely one of the best mods out there!

I replace the SystemUI.apk in the priv-app directory with my modded version.
Then I tried rebooting - the outcome: seizure.
Then I tried going into TWRP and wiping cache and nothing changes.

[Theme] [Stock 2.3.5] V4 ICS Style theme for stock 2.3.5

Hello this is a theme for the stock 2.3.5 firmware (28.12.11). For normal u8800, not Pro.
The firmware from Huawei is kinda weird, so many people have problems installing this. I made this the same way as my other themes but the phone have problems applying it right, so you could end up with a bootloop or only some parts of the theme being installed right. One time it installed right and was working, but after I flashed the same .zip again the phone ended up with a bootloop. We can only hope that Huawei will release a new firmware which will fix these bugs. In that case I can update the theme easily.
If anyone want to try to fix this they are welcome to use my theme and make a new thread
Sorry guys, I have tried but could not fix it..
Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for any harm that comes to your phone as a result of applying this mod.

Is it possible to move lockscreen ring to the lower third of the screen? Then this will be perfect ics theme.

I get a bootloop when installed this with 5.0.2.7 CWM (installed 2 times and never worked) Any idea what could be wrong ?

Ensure you have the normal u8800, then try to wipe dalvik cache. If that don't work then flash the "revert back to stock".
Flashed with 5.0.2.7 , got bootloop,
wiped dalvik, reverted back via ur link, still bootlooping
EDIT : revert back worked
EDIT 2 : flashed with 5.5.0.2 , now it's working. Good Work, Keep it up
also, can u theme the notification power widgets, that would be awesome
would love to use your theme, but get bootloops when installing via cwm 5.5.0.4 and without wiping anything
I also had the 2.3.5 installed, flashed the "2.3.5.batterypercentage.zip" and rebooted the device. Then, it started bootlooping. Don't know what happened :|
I think that sth ins wrong with the zip
Sent from my U8800 using XDA App
Dont know guys, i have flashed those things many times with no problems. I am using 5.0.2.7. Looks like it is working for most people, and a few not. If it does not work you can try to install the "revert back", then my theme.
Sent from my U8800 using XDA App
how did you made this theme?
i tried to flash it with genos 5.02.7. recovery = bootloops.
but i still ahve bootloops even with reverting back to stock ?
I managed to fix bootloops I think it starts bootlooping when you flash it with bundled apps removed. So i restored a backup I made before i removed bundled apps and flashed it again and it worked
how to remove bundled app and which app???
I said that you should NOT remove bundled apps check that-guy's tutorial if you want to know how and which
I installed stock again and got the same problems as you. I have been messing with the update-script and got the theme to install successfully with no bootloop. Will test some more tomorrow, and maybe have a new version up Friday/Saturday if it is working correctly.
Those who want can try to edit the update-script to this:
Code:
ui_print("Test update-script..");
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "mount", "/system");
package_extract_dir("framework", "/system/framework");
package_extract_dir("app", "/system/app");
run_program("/sbin/busybox", "umount", "/system");
Sorry for the problems! Weird that some worked and some failed!
Edit: I installed stock once again and with that script the theme worked. Can someone else try it and report?
Quick question, Can I still use that even I removed the Huawei's ugly launcher and lockscreen ?
I updated the first post with fixed theme (new update-script). It worked for me, but I need someone else to test it. Make sure you have a Nand backup, and post results here

COMPLETE GUIDE!!!
You'll have to use the phone for about 1-4 days (although it varies depending on the phone and battery used; every phone is an individual). It runs out of battery. Yes. Let it run. Recharge. After 3-4 recharges the battery will "gain" it's performance back.
After 3-4 full charge/full drain -cycles, do the following:
1. Charge the battery up to fullest.
2. Keep it plugged in to charger, and reboot to recovery.
3. On the recovery, go advanced, wipe battery stats, scroll on to yes BUT Don't wipe them yet. When you're ready, quickly remove the battery cable and push to wipe the battery stats.
4. Reboot the phone, use normally. Let it run completely out of battery.
5. Charge the phone back to full. Turn off phone. Charge until it says 100% on the green bar and vibrates for full charge.
6. The Important Part. Remove the charge cable for 0-0.5 seconds and plug it back in instantly. Let it charge to 100% again. Do this 1-2 times again, so you've done this 2-3 times total.
7. Reboot to recovery, wipe the battery stats again as on the step 3.
8. After wiping the battery stats, plug the charger back in the phone.
9. Reboot to ROM. Keep the cable plugged in. Keep it plugged in for about 30 mins to 2 hrs. Unplug. Should say 100%, mine did for about 40 mins after it depleted onto 99%.
And this is the way you should really gain great battery performance.

robertvarley: As per this rom everything is working. The settings menu has a nice black theme with white lined separations. Its fast with the devil kernel. Drop down notification shows contact picture. Syncs working. Pga tour app plays videos! And he's kept most of the original colour scheme if Google which I prefer. All I did was add in the modded SMS app. To make it elite add in the same theme as simple aokp. I loved that theme but that's an odexed rom so its a different theme.
I give it a 9.5/10. It needs a modded SMS theme maybe some themes system stuff like simply aokp. But it doesn't NEED that stuff. Good job.

Modem and kernel listed in my sig.
Glitch is v.14 b6 from Captivate development
Modem is tljl3 (but KG3, UCKH3 also work well)
Before flashing I added
1) a modded sysctl for better battery life,
2) gps.conf file for US servers,
3) inverted apps
Just flashed in vortex animation, OC to 110% with 1200 freq, this is stable combination and flat out flies!
flashed Devil kernel and flashed the ROM. It worked.
Just did a cache / dalvik wipe. got system ui error
Going back and doing a total wipe and reinstalling, see what happens.
Uploading a new link for Captivate , when I put a new link, you just need to install a rom, and enjoy
P.S. aboute 15min.
After a clean install, booted ok.
Apart from the home screen and the drawer, everything turns into landscape mode automatically and I did not find any option to fix that.
And regarding the modem, seems like any modem other than from I9000 will not work.

This is originally an I9000 ROM. updater-script needs some lines deleted, build.prop needs editing for SGH-I897. I know ph.miki has got it under control. He has provided a stable and beautiful ROM. Been using for nearly a week without FC or SOD. It is up there with the best!! My only issue was need to correct the APN so I could send MMS. It works so well for me I hesitate to flash away.
ph.miki - let me know if you want me to post systcl or gps.conf. My GPS now locks hard and fast.

OS command delay

Hi,
I recently bought a refurbished Nexus 7 and after creating 4 users and installing some apps on them the tablet started to act strange... e.g. when I open settings and tap any of the category it doesn't open... I need to press back and wait 30 sec or more. The same happens with Google Play when I tap install. Also with all other apps (EXCEPT games). Note: The tablet isn't laggy. I don't know what to do Please help

Up.
Please help !!!!! :crying: This thing is getting worse
Try wiping cache. In recovery preferably.
Okay. And that will erase the temporary files and cache files NOT user data, correct? :fingers-crossed:
You've tried rebooting?
Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk HD
Yes. The same thing happens. I tried to enter recovery mode to erase the cache but i got the message "no command" and the green Android laying on its back with a red triangle over it. Any opinions?
BTW, on boot a white open padlock appears. That means is rooted? I also installed Root Checker and said that i don't have root acces. If it's rooted then can I unroot? (bcz i'm thinking of a warranty replacement)
The open lock means the boot loader has been unlocked. You still need to install super user, there's instructions posted search for it. Recovery wasn't installed properly. I missed a step my first time and had the same dead android, again is posted in the instructions on rooting and installing cwm.

It probably means recovery wasn't installed at all.

Umm, ok.. But, I don't need CMW and Root on my N7. So, there is a way to come back to the original, pure JB 4.2.2 ? To be like a brand new unit? (with NO mods at all)
If you want it completely stock like factory new there is a thread sticky on how to do that as well.

The problem is that it appears there is no recovery installed thus the no command error. So you need to start with using the knowledge from the first thread I posted to get a recovery installed. From there you can try to wipe cache and dalvik cache then fix permissions. Or just follow the second thread to start completely fresh with a new install of jb 4.2.2.
EDIT: here is a guide for using adb and fast boot. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2225405

Gonna lag for sure then.
Rooting's best side effect is being able to tweak and streamline your device to make it as zippy as possible. Never will be as smooth running unrooted stock with no tweaks.

I did a factory reset and now I made two users and installed around 5 apps. Now it's ok (no more delay). I think the problem is that the RAM/CPU becomes very slow with 4 users and many apps on them. I can only hope 4.3 will be better in managing multi-user devices. Anyway, the open padlock is still there.

So, a fresh install with the method you gave me in the 2nd link can fix recovery mode (no command) and lock the bootloader?
Yes or No?

Highly recommend you look into MultiROM. Like having multiple operating systems on a PC, you can install how ever many ROMs you want on your device that you will be able to pick which to boot from. There is less lag running different ROMs on there then stock 4.2.2.

Why do you prefer to have 4 accounts on 1 ROM? Especially when it is causing you increasingly more trouble? And I am doubtful 4.3 would be a significantly better at "multi-usering".

Just hoping U know... I know that it's 90% sure that will run ultra-smooth and problem-free, but I don't want to mess around with rooting, ROMs etc.
Now I'm waiting for @SlowCobra96 to respond to my question cuz his explanation was kinda odd.
One more question: When I tried to clear cache (from the UI because the recovery is f***ed up) I ended up with ~500MB cache from 600MB
Did anybody experience this problem?

Read the links I included they tell you what they do and how to do it. One is to install cwm and then a new rom if you so choose the other is to make the tablet like the day it came out of the box.

[Q] Odin Flash Failure - Advice Please

I've tried to flash my GT-I9505 using Odin and it's failed (please see screen grab below).
I used "I9505XXUBMH1-PRE-ROOTED-ODEX-FULL" from post 5 of this thread
Code:

A few weeks ago, I tried "I9505XXUBMGA-PRE-ROOTED-ODEX-FULL" from the same thread and that failed and locked up my phone.
Which I had to pay to get the phone re-flashed properly.
(I've used the above successfully in the past).
Now, I'm in the same position again with a failed flash and probably paying to have it fixed again.
On the phone itself, the progress bar is only 2mm long. So if I switch it off, it will probably mess everything up.
What should I do now, while it's still connected to the PC and how can I successfully flash it in the future ?
Thank you.

It's 4.2.2.
I've managed to get the phone "working" again, by using "I9505XXUAME2-PRE-ROOTED-KNOX".
Which is on the same thread.
But, since I got the phone working again, I can't get WiFi to switch on. Factory reseting via Settings doesn't fix it.
All the ROMs I downloading in the past (MF8, MGA and MH1) with "ODEX" in the title from the same thread don't work.
Odin (any version), says "Not Responding" when I try them and fails to update (using Win 8.1).

Sorry, but I've no idea what you're talking about.
Simple instructions, please.
If it's for post 3: If it's the same as powering off the phone and starting it with Vol. up, Home and Power keys and resetting it that way.
That didn't for resetting the phone and the WiFi problem.
If it's for post 1, please ignore.

Just to update.
I've lost all sound and I can't play any music or videos, even the Samsung material.
have u flashed a custom-recovery like cwm, Philz or TWRP?
If "clearing data , cache and dalvik cache" are new for you, plz read more about this all.

Thanks for the reply.
CWM
I've deleted the cache partition and wipe data/factory rest.
I can't find the "dalvik cache", I've seen a YT video about it, but it's in "advanced settings", which I don't have.
I'm rooted , SuperSU is installed.
delvik cache is under advance option of philz recovery
AND DO INSTALL THE LATEST PHILZ RECOVERY V 6.0.0.1
Clearing cache/Dalvik ain't going to fix your problem. Your sound/WiFi is busted due to that bootloader issue. You need to flash a 'WiFi fix' (non-HLOS modem) to match your current firmware/bootloader. Go to the modem thread (search; easily found) & find a non-HLOS modem to match your current firmware (and I don't mean 4.2.2 or whatever, I mean XXUA, etc, etc)
Thank you for the replies and help.
This is the WiFi Fix page http://d-h.st/users/DjeMBeY/?fld_id=16262#files
But, my current FW isn't listed (ME2), I've tried ME3 and MEA, I think those are the ones before and after ME2 (maybe wrong).
But, they don't work. I've tried them multiple times.
I'm not sure which others to try.
I'm going to pay and hopefully get it fixed today.
But, I'd still like to know how to fix it, for future use.
It will mess up again, when I root it. That is unless I just stick with "I9505XXUAME2-PRE-ROOTED-KNOX" and not try later updated ROMs which have worked in the past).

I'm due to collect the phone tomorrow, I received info from them today (Geek Squad at Carphone Warehouse, a company based in the UK), saying that it had been fixed.
I'm guessing they reflashed it. But no info was given on what they did.
After I get it back, I think I'll get rid of it and get a HTC One instead.
Using a custom pre rooted ROM, just seems to mess the phone up.
Hopefully there's another way for the HTC. Plus, I shouldn't need to worry about Knox.

Cm-13.1-znh2kas254 ota is out

Hello Guys,
So the cm-13.1-znh2kas254 update is starting to roll out for OPO
No changelogs yet, but i think it's for the July Security Fix
If you can't wait anymore here is the link:
http://builds.cyngn.com/incremental/bacon/cm-bacon-ced5430fc0-to-9f339bddf2-signed.zip
I think you need a stock recovery and unrooted phone to update and also to be on the last CM13.1
PS: My second Thread, please don't be rude haha
EDIT:
about the changelog and Bug Fixes:
https://jira.cyanogenmod.org/projects/BACON/versions/13810
Im getting "system partition has unexpected contents" error. Stock COS13.1, no root nor xposed and CM recovery.
you are sure you're on stock cm-13.1-ZNH2KAS1KN??
Downloading now. Already on stock ZNH2KAS1KN, unrooted, stock recovery.
Will report back once I'm done.
The changelog list is not correct, the fix for Vodafone NZ users getting a roaming issue - is not solved, still have the R on the network icon.

Flashed ZNH2KAS1KN factory image. Booted into recovery. Applied July OTA. Factory reset.
There's a certain satisfaction that one gets from doing a clean install. [emoji14]
Phone working good so far. Let me restore my data and report back on how it works.

I'm glad i helped ^^
After installing the July update:
1) Boot up time feels way quicker.
2) Smoother animations.
3) What feels like better RAM management, it could also be an effect of the clean install. Apps like Instagram and Tapatalk, launch and load quicker.
4) Twitter App FC's within 10 seconds of it being launched. Tried rebooting. Clearing data. Nothing works.
It's on 25% now. Will charge it up and let you guys know the rest tomorrow.

Hi Murtaza - do you use Spotify and Maps at the same time connected to BT? If so, do you hear voice from Maps? I'm having this issue on the June build, 2KAS1KN.
Thanks in advance.

The changelog had only 4 resolved issues yesterday with the roaming one marked as "not resolved". So, it seems to have been changed after the release which is really odd. I suppose it really is unresolved.

I tried doing the same at least 10 times. Clean install through fastboot for S1KN, and then tried to apply OTA through stock recovery, keep getting "system partition has unexpected contents" !!
I tried literally every way possible, re-downloaded the whole fastboot zip, still the same.

Apply the OTA how? From internal storage or ADB sideload?
What I did:
Flash S1KN June factory image through Fastboot.
Booted directly into recovery without booting into the ROM.
Chose the ADB Sideload option.
Sideloaded the .JAR OTA file.
It installed fine with no errors.
Factory reset.
Reboot.
Everything works fine.

Where did you get .JAR from I got .zip ? Tried with internet download manager yesterday, it was downloading in jar format, but I just renamed it to zip :silly:
So adb sideload <filename>.JAR right ?
And no need to boot into rom after clean flashing fastboot version ?

I downloaded it from the main post of this thread. I thought JAR needed to be extracted or something, but it worked fine just being sideloaded as is. Don't rename it to zip.
I used IDM to download it too.
Flash S1KN, don't boot. Sideload OTA. Wipe and reboot.
