did you know that if you go to pictures and video and then menu and options and click over a tab you can select a screen saver to run while you connect to the laptop..
and you can jot down a note on top of the picture using the transcriber and then click over to screen shot and make an awesome note with a picture background that you can send to your friends.
also axyz mobile makes a program called keep recordin' and since i like making music i can just play an mp3 in the windows audio player and record your voice at the same time, perfect for audio notes.
this is all for now.
p.s. lets clean up these boards and learn to be kind to eachother yet again

What's the point of upping the kbit/s when our mic and camera aren't really that good ? A waste of space ain't it?
Perhaps a screengrab comparison can persuade others more easily.
i.e. Old camera mod takes a static video of Object A at Angle A. New camera mod taking static video of Object A at Angle A.
Screengrab using MPC/VLC and side-by-side comparison.
Else, the increased bit rate would be is a waste of space.
[opinion]AAC audio is also quite advanced to the point 128kbps ~= 256kbps MP3, any higher you'll prolly need better earphones. (take into account this is studio recording or FLAC converted to AAC and MP3). Any higher, same logic applies above, it would be a waste of space.
Also take into account Xperia Play's mic, which isn't really comparable to studio equipment or hell a decent consumer grade mic.
Pls do Post the pictures taken by xperia sp after updating it to the latest available firmware version i.e., 12.0.A.2.245
Also rate the camera now in terms of low light photography

From the image posted, i can't see any improvement in the quality of the photo other than the brightness which could be down to the weather. The detail is just as rubbish with the new firmware. Photos with the SP look like they've been taken with one of those cheap tiny spycam's that people attach to their bikes.
My older Xperia S (upgraded firmware) photo quality is much better than the Xperia SP which is a shame because initially i hated the Xperia S photo quality (mainly focus problems though) which is why i was so desperate to upgrade to a new phone. I feel like a muppet thinking Sony would learn the mistakes from the past and yet here they go again, the company that makes the actual hardware and sells it to other phone makers but apparently it has no clue how to refine the software to get the best results while others with Sony's hardware manage to get better results.

It's HAPPENING!
I was reading Android L APIs reference book and found out that Google finally added RAW file support for Android.
This will be a huge plus point for camera-oriented Android smartphones such as Xperia Z1 and Z2!
I hope Sony will bring this in for next update
That's actually a big improvement. Although Sony will have to manually add it in through there camera app

this doesnt mean that sony will implement it. i really doubt they will, but this opens possibilities for 3rd party camera apps and this i am 100% sure someone will do
its now or never sony, we will see the real sensor and lens capabilities now
i doubt sony will ever support it.
as freedcam developer write in his post, sony locked the raw function
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2753946
our z2 have the best sensor, but not the best software/driver.
There's app on Google store called Manual Camera, you can take photo in raw format and much more options but of course it works only on Lollipop.
