[Q] Samsung Settings Theme - Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello
Is there any way to change the default Samsung's (boring) settings theme? e.g. make the backround white? Or if any rom have another layout

Tried Wanam? An Xposed module.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm tired of the black background in the settings menu and was wondering if there was some way to chance it to white. That would be nice.

On wanam xposed you can only modify the notification panel. If you find a module that allows to modify the settings menu let us know.

I've just found this. I think this is the only thing you can do to the setting layout.

Same here. Got the installer installed but no modules will work. Keeps saying failed to write in data/xposed/module_list. Hopefully there will be a fix soon
yes, working fine on my n9005 with app settings, also changed the default dpi to 320dpi now.
you must install 2.3 beta 1 or later for gn3.

not sure what im doing wrong, I cant seem to get app settings to work. I save the setting, launch and theres no change! Tried enabling, disabling, rebooting. Have noticed that it does not quite save the settings if I just press the save icon and leave the app. Bit weird! I am on a international N9005 stock rooted rom if that helps. Any ideas?

Sorry to revive this thread but I have the same problem with my rooted note 3. I can change settings for each app like dpi and the changes work but dp res changes don't work. I'm using the one from xposed repo.

Try to get buildprop editor and search for lcd_density to change the display default density. For N3, I think it better to set value between 380 and 400.

Best of luck!
Looking to do the same, did you ever find it?

[Q] Looking For: Blue fonts, or how to make them blue

Hello, I have an S4 and I want to be able to change just the system font alone to a blue color to match my ford escape's dash panel so it matches when I'm driving (It's connected to a mount for gps accessibility, music, and speech texting). I don't want to install a whole theme like apex or any of such. I just want something simple that changes the system font's color, and possibly the notification tools to blue if it exists.
If there's nothing I can download, can you teach me how to do it myself step-by-step? I saw another thread like this, but it simply ended in someone being smug and saying you come here to learn so do it yourself, giving the poster no leads as to where to even start.
The color of the led is what I want in this image:

First of all you'll need to root your phone, after you've did so download wanam xposed at the play store, after that you're good to go! Good luck.

I failed to mention my phone was already rooted, otherwise I wouldn't have mass storage for ford sync to work ;P but thanks!
Oh, then try Wanam Xposed from the play store.

I'm having troubles with wanam, It lets me change all the different colors for theme options, but when I reboot (through wanam) none of which I wanted changed, changes.
edit: Nevermind, requires my further input for xposed to work.

(REQ) live wallpaper on lockscreen

Is it possible to modify the lock screen settings to allow a live wallpaper option? I know this can be done standard on aosp/cm roms. Looking for a mod on the LG side of things.
I know there was alot of lag on my wife's g pro phone with live wallpapers in general. I wonder LG set it that way so there would be no/less lag.

If its impossible please explain why. A live wallpaper issue has to be easier to accomplish then some of the bootloaders our bad a** devs have cracked.

On the DNA, you had the option of setting up the lockscreen with a Live Wallpaper. It wasn't a special mod or anything, it just came that way. Probably part of the Sense overlay. In any case, it was a standard available option.

I understand. LG also doesn't support root, custom recovery, and changing icons in the status bar. These options aren't impossible so why would a live wallpaper be impossible?
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
First you set LWP on your homescreen.
Open build.prop file and edit this line from:
Code:
ro.lge.capp_lockscreen=true
to
Code:
ro.lge.capp_lockscreen=false
Reboot your device.
Now you will see same LWP on your lockscreen too.
Root is required.

How difficult is that to understand that it is not supported??!! There is no point in arguing when I know what the fact is. Maybe a REAL DEV as you call can do it, but AFAIK no one can/could till date.
and about the last comment, thats AOSP stock lockscreen not Lg..

I had high hopes that this would work, but it doesn't work on my device (Stock, rooted). Every time I edit the buildprop and reboot as it prompts, it resets value back to true...hmm. Any suggestions?

I have one question. Did you save changes? And after saving make sure you set the build.prop file permission properly.
It worked for me on stock but changed my lockscreen to the aosp lockscreen

Remove Smart stay icon in notification bar?

Hi as title says, is there a way to remove the slight faded eye looking icon in the notification bar when smart stay features are on?
I always leave the feature on so the icon sitting on my notification bar is unnecessary. I am rooted and am amusing I need to delete a system file (maybe?) so if anyone knows please tell me
Thanks!

Root. Install latest xposed framework. Install Wanam exposed module. Toggle the corresponding setting there.
use 2 finger to pull down from top and you shall see the option to turn it off.

That is not the same thing, the toggle will disable smart-stay, most people would want smart-stay to still work but not to show the icon.

I don't understand the process. It sounds quite complicated so I think I'll just live with the icon showing on my notification bar.
