I've got hong kong version LG G2 sourced from ebay. I flashed an unknown laf.img, and then flashed Hong Kong OPEN 16GB D80210D_00.kdz. Now i've got crashing problem, and will have to completely power off for more than 10 minutes before it could boot properly.:crying:
Does any one if the kdz flash the partition images e.g. laf.img, boot.img? i wonder if i flashed wrong version of img files.

The kdz flashes all including the laf img. Try downloading your firmware from here. Make sure you pick CSE on the flash tool.
Issues again
Thanks for this. i downloaded the D80220C_00.kdz from lg site and CSE flashed to the phone. it took 3 or 4 times to reboot and get to initial setup screen. i was able to setup and use it.
The problem is that when i restart the phone it will stuck at the LG logo screen and keep rebooting. i have to completely shut down, and leave it for 10 minutes before it can boot properly again..
I wonder if this is a hardware problem or any partition level firmware issues.

Hi all,
A friend of mine, had android 1.6 on his gt540 (donut), he asked me to flash a rom that was better than 1.6 . I started with flashing the repartitioning kdz from mur4ik. It hung after step 212. (normal i presume?) and when I wanted to boot in fast boot, i only got a black screen. and when i booted normally, the screen was stil blank... i flashed several kdz roms, (using normal mode and CS_emergency) it said it was done, but the screen showed nothing...
does anybody know what to do?
any help is really appreciated
hmm so i guess you flashed the repartition kdz before the fastboot kdz??

Yes I did.
should I flash the fastboot rom first en then the repartition kdz?
thanks in advance
you only need to use the fastboot kdz, partitioning is not really needed and can be done through fastboot
doesn't work...
i flashed succesfully the v20b kdz,
but the phone won't boot...
i can't get an adb or fastboot connection..
do you have any tips?
Can you default partitions through kdz? If so try that and refresh 2.1 with fastboot it could be a problem with the altered partitions.
Sent from my LG-GT540 using XDA
Highly possible idea as you flashed repartition first so the system does not have enough space for a 2.1 rom
how many minutes did you took to install this ROM?
I wait for almost an hour and still sending system is displayed on the screen. will my phone prone to brick? what shall I do?
as in kdz fastboot rom? for me it took 10 mins not more. i tried on 2 gt540s around the same time. Then again my computer might be faster

It's a common problem. It's because the kdz files you use to flash the euro rom (or the rom you want).
Just Follow this tutorial: http://android.modaco.com/topic/340693-lg-optimus-gt540-boot-logo-problem/
or this (in spanish):
http://www.taringa.net/posts/celulares/10282298/LG-GT540---Falta-animacion-de-encendido-despues-de-flashear.html
Once you flash that files you need to flash a rom using fastboot a recovery.

Hello,
I have LG G2 (d802 polish version) with 4.2 rooted stock rom, Installed pac rom two days ago and then (stupidly) changed build.prop ro.sf.lcd_density value from 480 to 240 and since then phone is bricked It's either booting forever (LG logo) or booting all the time to recovery mode( I have installed CWM recovery, and later Philz CWM). Now the good side is:
- I can get to download mode and connect to LG Flashtool. .When flashing the tot file BIN_LGD802AT-00-V10b-EUR-XX-SEP-07-2013-16G from XDA Storagecow.eu site, I can connec the phone via USb, change the port to 41 and it starts flashing. HOWEVER, when flashing the stock rom, LG flashtool skips all the partition and flashes it in seconds, then stops at 84 percent, tries to get factory reset, waits for it120 sec and then I have the error DOWNLOAD FAILS. What can be the problem here? Earlier I flashed the same bin file without any problems, and it didn't skipped through partitions , and everything went fine. WTF? Seriously maybe someone knows because I am desperate here. Already trying 2 days to figure it out. Haven't tried the KDZ method yet, because I have Windows 8,1 , and I am having permission errros while trying to flash. I will atttach a screenshot of LG flashtool skipping all the partitions whil flashing soon.
Please HELP!
clarification
In any case I am just asking why Lg Flash Tool is skipping all the partitions and flashin properly and then stopping at 84 and not restarting ? How can I flash back to stock? Any advice appreciated. thanks.
anyone can help?

Did you try to let LG Mobile Support Tool download and flash matching ROM file automatically? That worked for me when I was stuck in LG logo boot loop. In order to make Support Tool reflash ROM select menu Extra Featrues and then Reset Upgrade Error (or something like that - having tool in german here ) Of course phone must be in download mode and connected to PC.
Hope this helps
After kdz/tot flashing you might have to reset the phone.
either:
Hold volume down + power, wait for lg logo, release keys and hold them again (then proceed to factory reset)
OR
Hold volume down + power, wait for lg logo, release keys and hold volume up + volum down (then proceed to factory reset)
Did you solve this?
Guys i need your help, I screwed my phone BADLY. I have D802 from Hong Kong
TOT flashing method starts, flash until 80%, phone restarts, the FlashTool gives meddage FBOOT fail. Flashing fails.
Phone restarts until LG logo and the diode is blinking colors.
There is only download mode available.
Please is there ANY solution? Even guys on IRC #lg-g2 channel couldn't help me.
What i did before:
1. rooted my phone
2. instal autorec, which screwed phone. after that only flashboot mode worked
3. i flashed laf.img to restore download mode, it worked
4. i flashed aboot, tz, rpm, it allowed me to boot into system but screwed touchscreen
5. i flashed TOT with dll from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2687768
Bricked D802 FlashTool Fail Fix
but then phone freeze at LG logo and nothing happens. No recovery, no fastboot, only download mode.
please! anyone knows what to do?

First double check that you can enter recovery. Hold the power button until the phone completely shuts down. Wait 5 seconds. Then hold power + volume down until it vibrates and LG logo shows up. Release both buttons. Then press them again quickly and hold them. You will enter recovery. Or the phone my offer to do a factory reset which btw won't happen since it will go to recovery by pressing the power button 2 more times. If you have TWRP then you are good. Install ADB on your PC and the LG drivers. When you have ADB, Download (check everything) related to JB and KK. Reboot the PC. Connect your phone with the cable. The PC will not recognize the phone. You have to use a little trick in the device manager first:
Press the windows key + pause/break and click on device manager. Right click on the faulty device with the yellow exclamation mark and hit properties then update driver. Click on the second option then from the list search for ADB or ADB device or something along those lines. Select the LG driver and hit OK. Unplug the phone. The phone must be in recovery still. Inside recovery hit advanced and look for ADB sideload. Check both checkboxes on what to wipe. If you don't already have a rom you want to flash, then use this one. It is a very stable and fast one and I only recommend it because I had the same issue as you and it worked for me. Download that rom and rename the zip file to rom.zip and copy it to the location where your adb.exe file is. You will also need the KK baseband modem otherwise auto rotation won't work. Search for it on the D802 dev thread. Now on your PC, open a command prompt inside the directory you copied the rom.zip (shift + right click) and hit "open command prompt here". Type in:
adb devices (this will ensure that your connection with the phone is alive. If you see some weird string then it works. That is the name of the phone btw)
adb sideload rom.zip

Installation will now begin. You are saved.
Of course all the above only applies if you have acces to recovery. But I wonder how could you screw that one up. It's literally a simple apk installation and a 1 button solves everything app. If you don't have recovery you can still try to save your phone with download mode. Here is a link that maybe helps but I havent tested it
And one last thing: Don't use Flashtool.
thanks man. But unfortunately no recovery. The phone ONLY goes to download mode.
I will try to flash .kdz because tot method didn't work. If .kdz fails then i don;t know.... expensive paper holder

Have the same issue on D802 G2 here. How'd you solve it?
Update,
I fixed this problem by using LGUP. My phone was refurbished (ls980) so that's why twrp didn't booted,
Hello,
I have a LG G2 d802 32gb variant. I bought it a week ago. I was running andoid kitkat OS (HK D80220C). It wasn't rooted. I tried to get official updates from about phone section but "no updates". So i decided to manually flash updates from a rooted recovery as i did in my LG G3.
First of all I rooted it by "IOroot". Then tried to install custom recovery by "autorec d802". Everything went good and autorec was also successful. I asked me to reboot into recovery, I pressed yes and then it took me to "fastboot mode". I tried to reboot into OS by pressing power button (As battery is non-removable). Everytime it rebooted back into that fastboot mode. This once happened with me on LG G3. So i tried to flash "laf" and "recovery" image and downloaded from here
http://downloads.codefi.re/autoprime/LG/LG_G2/D802/Stock_Firmware
I flashed them by CMD fastboot method. Now it stuck at "LG Logo" and download mode was also started. So i decided to install a stock rom by KDZ or Tot method. First i tried KDZ method. I downloaded stock rom "Hong Kong D80220C_00.kdz" which it was previously running. Also installed all drivers, downloaded flashtools2014 and connected phone while in download mode.
I started KDZ method as told here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
But everytime it shows internal error on "2 or 3 percent". It didn't worked for me. So i decided to do tot mothod.
Download tot file, dll file, LGFlashtool, drivers etc.
Followed whole process which was also described in above post. But when flashtool reached at 94 percent and mobile was being rebooted it showed error
"Fboot check"
"Fboot Check"
"Can't reboot completely"
I tried to turn of phone at this condition by waiting and then doing a factory reset by keys combination but it keeps resetting and rebooting. I searched whole internet but can't find a solution. Can anyone please help me. Because i bought this cellphone a week ago for my friend and i would not be able to face him after showing a sick phone. Please someone help .
Only download mode of phone is working, It also keeps led light on while stuck at logo.

could it be that your phone is refurbished ? and if its says its a d802 in fact is a ls980.?
Greetings. I have a lg v20 us996 and the problem is this. After flashing it with lgup UPPERCUT_1.0.0.0, now the phone reboots into fastboot mode. I have given factory reset and I have flashed another filmware of the same model and still the same. I turn it off by removing the battery and when I connect it to the computer or the home charger, it lights up in fastboot mode. any solution. Thank you
When that happened to me I had to send it in for factory warranty repair. Their diagnosis was faulty ram. Phone came back unrooted and I really don't know if I should try to reinstall TWRP and root. I get the message that the phone cannot be checked... when I boot up, which leads me to believe the bootloader is still unlocked. I miss TWRP and root REAL BAD so will probably give it a try but am not brimming with confidence.

Greetings. In my case it was not root and no installation of twrp. It was after flashing of the filmware that I left in fastboot mode. Now does not boot and gets stuck in fastboot mode
This happened to me when trying to update my old LG K10 through LG Bridge and it failed. After it installed the update properly, it booted normally. I think it's a flag that LGUP or UPPERCUT fails to reset, so the phone thinks it's still waiting to install the update through LG Bridge's Update Error Recovery.

You just saved my xmas!
I think the reason it works is because the partition layout is redone because the partition layout is different. So it has to be re-written which is what needed to be done to fix the issue. The Korean F800 version has a different partition layout as well so that prolly would work too, which I actually had before I downloaded the H915.
This also fixed the issue I was having in the first place that made me chip erase which didn't work. But now I know what's going on, writing a fresh partition table can solve many issues which doesn't happen when crossflashing variants that have the same partition layout.
