chrome cast dongle(full screen method) and audio play back error.. - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Ok so i flashed via cm 11 built in update checker to the latest 8/27 nightly build and, to my surprise, audio play back was working weeeee!!!!! all happy inside i said to myself, let me re-add the spqlite binary file and re install mirror enabler so that i could use full screen cast with chrome cast after doin so i was able to mirror the full screen to my tv but lost audio playback and got the error stating so. i undid the whole mirror enabler and rebooted and tudaaaaa audio was back again. so far so good with bluetooth speaker and device speaker. i think somethings up with full screen chrome cast enabling process whihc caused the audio playback to crash..[

You were able to mirror cm11?! HOW! ! i tried allot but failed with crashes... Tell me howww

I used apps to mirror the screen. Mirror enabler and Sq lite. Download binary from Sq lite then use mirror enabler to activate screen mirroring. Google mirror enabler.apk that will get you the as pp

I know marketplace has youtube for download. I'm looking for youtubetablet.Apo. anyone got this working on the kindle fire?
mediafire/?nntn457o10mba1e Try it. Put a WWW in the beginning and a dot com after mediafire.
What is the advantage to the tablet version? The phone version seems to format ok on the Fire's screen, and you can go full-screen with it.
I get problem parsing package.

Me too. I'm on stock 622 with root
Do I need to be rooted to install youtube? I get a parsing error with the tablet apk. I can download and install the regular youtube apk. But it immediately force closes when I launch it. Thanx.
Do you have Google Framework Services installed too? You don't need root for You Tube.

yeah i have gapps installed. so i have marketplace, gmail calendar, etc. the problem seems to be specifically with the tablet apk. if i recall correctly there is also an odex file that might need modifying as this particular apk was from a xoom. right now i am running youtube from the marketplace just fine.
i just want to get the tablet apk working as it has a better optimized view for tablets

Watch Xbmc over Chromecast through Allcast

This is a how to on getting XBMC to play over Chromecast through Allcast Player. You will be able to cast XBMC from your phone to your TV.
Step 1. Download XMBC XAF version with External Player and Install it. It will not work without this special version.
XAF Link - http://www.xbmcandroid.com/2013/05/...-xaf-custom-build-of-xbmc-for-android-is-out/
Download and InstallXMBC XAF Custom Build for NEON Touch Screen Devices
It downloaded with an extension of .bin It wouldn't install so I changed the extension from .bin to .apk and then it installed with no problems.
You need to run xbmc once to set up the proper folders.
Step 2. Download and Install File Manager from the Google Playstore
Step 3. Download playercorefactory.xml at https://www.dropbox.com/s/1ltd48heh3wrx45/playercorefactory.xml
In your sdcard, place playercorefactory.xml in the userdata folder using the following path.
/android/data/org.xbmc.xbmc/files/.xbmc/userdata/
Step 4. Download Allcast Premium App from the Google Playstore for $4.99
Step 5. Demonstration
Start Chromecast
Start XBMC - Start your show- Click the Cast Button and it automatically finds the Allcast Player and casts to the Big Screen.

I plan on picking up a Chromecast tonight to try this. Just curious - what's the benefit of installing the XAF version vs the official version? I noticed the XAF version was last updated in May 2013 whereas I can get a nightly build of the official released a few days ago.

When i ever i get that error its because the video is corrupt and it means its not fully downloaded or has problems.another reason can be that the video extension isnt supported by the video player just try another video player to open the video if that works then thats the reason why its not working in sammy video player. ?
The videos play in vlc and other media players but not on stock video player cos the stock video player does not open at all. When i try to open it i get the error message "unfortunately video has stopped".

i just facing that error, but after i reboot my device i did not face anything error like that again.
But if you still facing that issue, you can try this some step:
1. Log out your google account in setting/account (etc)
2. Clear data all data of google play store
3. Reboot
4. Open play store and login again
Let see
Have you tried to get the APK file from an APK mirror site? Also, you could install Aptoide. I believe there are several versions of Netflix in that store. It's a legit store.
Which apps? Magisk hide works for some.
I tried all those solutions but with no luck
When installing netflix 7.x it crashes but netflix 6.x works fine ?!!

Did you try changing your device ID? There are some apps you can use for this purpose. Offhand I forget the names of them tho. Many of them are in the Play Store. Read the reviews carefully tho, I don't trust all of those sorts of apps. You can also edit the build.prop file.

Yep it all works just fine once flashed, system components can be installed too without TWRP telling it not to, may need to reboot several times till it installs, when you start getting a new update that's not relating to 6.2.7.1 let me know and I'll update this forum. This stock image doesn't get rid of TWRP completely unfortunately.
I'm gonna stick with my pre rooted rbox Rom thanks.. Loving it with play services etc
Hello. How to install this update on a device with root? Root is important to me. Magisk need to be reinstalled?

Yes. You need to download the zip file for Magisk to flash in recovery. Magisk doesn't need to be installed, it's stock so it's not rooted by default.

The closest you can get to is a Magisk addon for gapps. It's quite unstable at the moment as there is testing going on. Xposed is with the module, you may need to enable a separate module on Xposed Installer to enable addons. Link can be found here, it'll tell you how to use it. You need to be on 6.2.6.8 since it's the latest release for now and not 6.2.7.1 yet:

There is no risk of bricking after flashing although it's recommended just to be safe, download and flash Magisk Manager For Recovery. It's in the Magisk addon store.
Does this update resolve the lipsync problem? Even before I applied the unlock and root, VLC player lip sync was noticeably out. After intalling Magisk and Kody, the Kody video player lip sync is also off but not as much as VLC (tested playing video from memory stick). Anyone else see this and resolve? I followed some youtube guide about clearing cache and rebooting and that helped a little but still out of sync.
I finally gave up trying to figure out how to use adb via TWRP and installed the addons package AFTV-MM which claims to do all these settings automatically. That's the point where I installed Kodi and tested the playback of some videos on my memory stick plugged into the USB over OTG. My ultimate goal is to play videos (in voice sync) from my home video media server, accessed over the network.

Yes! The update fixes the problem with lip syncing, and if it still has that problem try going to settings, display and sounds, audio, surround sound, and set that to stereo then reboot.

So with OTG & Mouse and a USB stick with the needed files on it I should boot to TWRP, slide to inturrupt, Install this image you provide via TWRP install, install Magisk 20.3 via TWRP install and finally install AFTV-MM zip via TWRP install and I am done, right? If this is right, I assume I reboot after every zip install or can I do them one after another? How about logging out of my account before, do I do that? What is the exact procedure for dummies. Please over-complicate if possible, I enjoy not making major mistakes due to inexperience. Thanks for your help!

AFTV-MM isn't supported on 6.2.7.1 at all through testings I've made. If you do want to keep AFTV-MM, it's better to stay on 6.2.6.8 as there's no new significant changes with the update to this new image. You can do one after another. Firstly, it's important to flash the image then Magisk and reboot. There is no need to log out of your account due to this update being stock and is acting like it's a new update as if you never unlocked it.

Mine is saying "up to date" on 6.2.6.8 so it's possible Amazon pulled the 6.2.7.1 update. I will not be releasing a rom for this until I know they're pushing it again.

Where is the file, do you have a hub on the OTG connection with USB stick plugged in. There should be an option on the Install panel to mount USB storage if I remember correctly.

I uploaded the file to /sdcard/Download/update/ folder.
No OTG connection. Just plain usb to microusb connectors.
BTW as rbox stated up here if really the 6.2.7.1 has been pulled by Amazon maybe it's wise to wait.

Pino.
