Someone has to have this in here.But since people got into fights over the dk05 leak, I think we are being punished by the devs we scolded. Well... Lesson learned. Now we are forced to wait for Sprint to give it to us next year by Christmas.

they dont have it...there isnt even a DL11 anymore...it DL19...read the post by whodamn before posting stupid ****

If DL11 even exists there is a reason we are not getting it for example it could brick ur phone or manger internet doesn't work so stop asking. when the time is right we will get our update so be patient.
THIS SHOULD BE IN GENERAL. Not that I really care but it reduces clutter in development.

Let's consider the possibilities:
1. Nobody on here has it
2. Somebody has it
I think it's #1, but let's assume it's #2. Since he/she hasn't released it, then one of the following is probably true:
1. He/she can't get it to work or it sucks.
2. He/she has it working and is putting it into a useful ROM for us to use.
3. He/she has it and is keeping it secret for some legitimate reason (like to protect someone's name hidden in the software).
4. He/she has it and is keeping it secret for spite.
I think #4 is highly unlikely, especially given the huge amount of praise that would be lavished upon him/her for being the first to release the leak.
The truth is that we have some pretty good froyo leaks right now. Since whatever Samsung/Sprint releases officially is likely to be the last thing we get from them for a long time, I'm hoping they keep it long enough to work out as many bugs as possible. The only thing we're waiting for is source code and improved stability. A leak wouldn't give us source code, and if DL11 was going to be released but got pulled, it's likely because of some stability/coding issues. If someone has DL11 and wants to release it into the wild, great, but it sounds like it didn't get all that far before being replaced, so I suspect nobody has it.

Usually someone leaks test builds. On the EPIC forum they leak builds all the time. So if you dont know then, direct me to someone who does. Thanks.

If you're looking for different ROMs and OS builds that are available for the Nexus S 4g, there is an entire forum for that in this Nexus section....here's the link just in case... http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1171

The Nexus ain't a carrier OEM phone. Googles AOSP code for the NS4G is freely available and new releases for it are absolute new Android releases. If you find a test build you just found a new version of Android. At this point, possibly Ice Cream. Basically it ain't happening.

Personal Victory

Having been on XDA for a long time now I know that there are a vocal minority that will say "so what" to this post, but that's okay, I'm a happy camper today. The reason that I'm a happy camper is that when I got my Evo just about a year ago I didn't know anything about android. We had what seemed to be a 20 step root method using ADB that frankly scared the crap put of me when I tried it. It was nothing like using my old Mogul.
Today I was able to help 3 different people with problems. It was one of those good news / bad news situations. The bad news is that probably 90% of the folks here still know more about android than I ever will. The good news is that I'm now competent to help those other 10%!
I know, doesn't seem like much compared to out forum "greats," but 3 thanks from 3 different threads is a personal accomplishment for me.

Aha Congrats! I love helping people out although i don't know much as most people here in xda. Everyone learns one thread at a time!

I was the exact same way. I was a complete noob until I had CM7 running on my old Hero a few months ago (6 I think?) then I got the evo and since about 3 weeks ago, I started helping people out. I even made a perfected batch script that pulls apps from /data/app and for devs I made a /system pulling script.

Congrats man for being one of the good guys.
This is exactly the sort of thing that everyone on XDA should be all about. I've personally come a long way from mucking around with ADB to root my Hero and it's really nice to be able to help out every now and then.

Nothing wrong with taking pride in helping others! There are some things it's ok to be proud of, that's one of them! I, too, was a complete noob when I came from iPhone to EVO. At first i just read every thread that had an interest to me but soon i started to read questions and thing "Oh, i know that answer I had this problem already!" or maybe someone else had the problem and posted about it and I read that thread. Before long I was helping people fairly regularly, Up to 17 thanks so far which I know isn't that much but for me it is since i still really know very little about android. But remember it doesn't matter how little you know, as long as you share it!
Some of us remember well the days before internet came around. There were no communities like this. If you needed to know something and it wasn't in a book you owned you went to the library and spent all day looking it up! Now any 8 year old can google anything in 5 seconds. And with smartphones they can do it anywhere. Communities like this one are making sooo many things possible that just weren't before for most people, and people that are willing to help others are what makes it all possible!

Agreed. xda is head and shoulders above most forums I've seen for having people willing to take the time to help with both simple questions as well as helping unwind over-the-top complicated disasters.

Hey, that's what a community board is all about. Helping those that need help and getting help in return. At one point even the developers were "noobs". They had to start from scratch with only each others knowledge and a couple computers and phones. After years of giving each other a helping hand, they were able to crack every code all the manufacturers created to lock down the true potential of the phones and have made XDA the biggest and best. developers website there is today.

Just a big warning to you all: I tried it on Aura and it's causing half of my applications to force close, and most of the others to not run properly. It also broke ROM manager, so now I can't boot into CWM to restore my backup. Any ideas?

When its fully working point the guy out that I'll owe a beer to.

Go in to recovery by turning off phone. And powering it on while holding volume down, when you see fastboot keep pressing volume down til you see android recovery and select using volump up. Now your in cwm so restore from there

May not work with CM7. I think it's only been developed for/on a Blur ROM.
<edit> confirmed not working on CM7.
<edit 2> I also want to say I love how the OP started this thread when the dev himself admits it's not complete, and everyone is having major FC issues and whatnot when they flash it. Seems like someone just wanted to be in the "I posted it first" club!
OP should edit thread title to reflect that this is probably an early Alpha if we are lucky, and not working horizontal mirroring.

A Goodbye - #NeverAgain

I've been on XDA a long time. Met some tremendous people here and have learned an incredible amount. A lot of us joined together and did something special (#NeverAgain).
In my time, a lot of things seem to have gone sour with XDA (not the people that use it).
The only downside here is that XDA is a force. Everyone uses it. Because of that, everyone gets treated the way XDA wants to treat you, not necessarily how they SHOULD be treated.
THE ONLY WAY FOR THERE TO BE CHANGE, IS ACTION.

I applaud your move. Yet as you probably know, you cannot boycott or even teach adults into morals and values. If they value fame, money, or prestige over behaving correctly, then nothing can change that now.
They will not understand what you are even talking about. They will only feel threatened and will either lash out or silence you.
Your message does have a chance to get others. What remains to be seen is whether or not then leaders of this forum will be cowardly and silence you by taking down this thread or will they leave it up for a chance at meaningful and productive dialogue so you can get your message out?

I've been on XDA a long time. Met some tremendous people here and have learned an incredible amount. A lot of us joined together and did something special (#NeverAgain).
In my time, a lot of things seem to have gone sour with XDA
The only downside here is that XDA is a force. Everyone uses it. Because of that, everyone gets treated the way XDA wants to treat you, not necessarily how they SHOULD be treated.
THE ONLY WAY FOR THERE TO BE CHANGE, IS ACTION.

I hear you bro -- but from an outsiders perspective, it sounds like you are taking something too seriously. I for a v brief time felt the way you did even, then I realized .. allowing a website to keep me from downloading files is short changing truly only me. Have no choice ~
