[Q] Stuck in bootloop - Alliance rom - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Tried to boot into recovery and got stuck in a bootloop. At the top left corner it says "RECOVERY BOOTING. . . ." in blue but it keeps restarting on its own. I was initially trying to get into safestrap to do my first backup of the rom but I can't get into safestrap. I also tried connecting my phone to Odin but it is not being recognized. Can anyone help?

Try booting into download mode (Vol. Down, Home and Power) then hit cancel and reboot.

If you'd like to reboot to safestrap, settings>custom settings>power menu, change it there and you'll reboot straight to safestrap and not bootloop.

That's weird. Can you install the Android SDK or ADT and get adb.
Then plug your S4 to the computer (I assume the drivers are installed?) and open up cmd. Set adb to your path variables or just browse over to the adb where you installed your SDK and run
Code:
adb devices
to see list of devices and check if yours is there. Then type
Code:
adb reboot download
Let me know if that works.

Did you connect the phone to the PC? Seems that it cannot detect your phone. Bad drivers maybe? Try installing these:

Well if CWM works, and you flashed a stock ROM using Odin, does the issue persist? If so, it could be a hardware issue then.
EDIT: Although the issue in the OP seems to be solved partially no? Can you boot normally to your ROM? Can you boot to recovery (vol-up + power)? Download mode (vol-down + power)? Anyone of them through adb?

Do you get a bootloop? Download a zip of a ROM and flash it through CWM.
Can you still access download mode through the hardware buttons or through adb?

Every time I boot the phone it has the blue text saying booting recovery and boots into clockwork. I cannot access download through either adb or pressing the buttons. When I press down power and menu the phone freezes on samsung black screen.

You're supposed to press vol-down and power. Not menu. I guess that's a typo?
Anyway, if it doesn't work in those ways, I'm not sure what's left besides taking it to the shop and getting it replaced.
Does adb devices detect the phone as online? If so, you can try this toolkit and maybe that boots you to download mode?

No its not. You push in down volume, home(menu) and power button for ODIN and up volume, Home(menu) and power for recovery. Have NEVER got into download or recovery by holding volume up\down and power. Not since my Gtab 7" 1st edition....

What. That is totally weird. You are right but I can get into both recovery and download mode without touching the home button.
@spongerob500: Try what ultramag69 suggested with Menu button. Sorry about the wrong info in that regard, but on my phone I don't press the Menu/Home button.
EDIT: Sorry @ultramag69, it seems that both methods work. So no need to hold the Home button!

Fix Bootloop with Safestrap v3.72

I was using the latest Safestrap, v3.72, and ran across a bootloop. It happened when I was in SS recovery and went to Reboot and accidentally pressed Recovery instead of System. After that my phone began rebooting into the Recovery. That blue message saying "Recovery Booting..." appeared in the top left corner, but after a few seconds I felt some haptic feedback and the phone rebooted, only to display the blue message again. I took out the battery and booted up the phone, but the blue message persisted. I figured that the only way out would be to boot into download mode and use Odin, so I then tried to boot into download mode (power, home, and volume down keys), but it only rebooted with the blue message again. I pulled the battery out and waited. After a few tense minutes, I inserted the battery and instead of powering up the phone normally I tried to boot into download mode and it worked. I'm currently waiting for the MJE stock tar to finish downloading. I'm sure I'll be able to Odin my way back.
Try to press where whee recover icon would normally be or the home button as it's booting

It doesn't work. As soon as I turn the phone on it goes straight to the "Recovery Booting..." screen. The stock tar just finished downloading, so I'll report back after I use Odin.
I just finished flashing the stock tar with Odin. It went well. Now I just have to reroot, install safestrap, and restore my backup.

Odin doesn't work. When I click PDA/AP it freezes up. I've tried waiting it out for more than an hour before, so it doesn't work...
First, have u closed all kies procceses at task manager?
Second, does the pc recognizing the device when it in downlad mode?
If it does
Try 2 things:
1) redownload the stock rom. And try again
2) download a differenet version of odin
If not recognizing install the samsung usb drivers first.
