hi guys, for some reason my text notifications stopped working. i get no sound nor an icon on the status bar. checked all the settings and everything is setup right. is there anything else i can do besides factory resetting? phone is unrooted btw. thanks everyone.

My Magician has mysteriously stopped notifying me when I get text messages! The notification is enabled in the Sounds & Notifications settings panel, but still I get nothing!
Anyone got a clue how to solve this?

Hello everyone.
When trying to fix my crazy alarm stuck in a loop, I deleted one too many entry from the notification queue. The alarm is gone, but so are appointment notifications. I can see appointments becoming active but no sound or vibration is being triggered.
Can anyone enlighten me what have I deleted and how to restore it?

A few more details
If I set any new alarm it will ring/vibrate but no notification is displayed (cannot dismiss). And even if I remove it/them from the notification queue, they will go on and on.
I really don't want to hard reset, and I even don't know if it would help...Help?
I'm not sure, but have you tried running MemMaid or pmClean to rebuild your notifications?
Thanks for head up. Yes, I tried virtually everything. Not enough knowledge. I ended up with upgrading to WM6. All works fine now. That issue will remain a mistery forever

My email notification 'sound' has stopped?
The obvious settings are all correct and it's set to make a sound but it doesn't.
The email comes through in the notification bar at the top, but it does not make an sound!
Any ideas appreciated.

Maybe you went LITE version of the ROM and you dont have that notification sound anymore?

I am having a problem where I am not getting alerts when I get a new text message. I have done a hard reset, gone into my sound and notifications settings and checked all that needs to be checked. Any help here would be greatly appreciated, this is driving me crazy.
SOLVED - I performed this hack last week and apparently it disables the SMS notifications. I just restored my registry and all is well.

I'm having a weird issue, and would appreciate your help or input very much.
My issue is with Samsung messeges.
When I receive an SMS, I get a sound notification, followed by a preview, and than the SMS disappears... The notification card in the status bar and lockscreen is not displayed.
If i miss the sound notification, and I don't check my SMS's, I don't even know that I received a new one.
Is anybody else having an issue of this kind?
