You can't flash the bootloader from the SD card - this is very dangerous.
You have to use Download mode to touch these partitions.

Dear nicholaschum,
Thank you for the reply,
I know this thread is old but I hope that what I found will help someone who is facing the same situation,
After a little digging I found the problem was a hardware malfunction specifically the PMIC,
I just replace it and the phone worked again,
Your advice is appreciated and noted,
I wish you all the best,
Best regards

I am really sorry about that,
I was overseas supervising a project in the middle of a dessert which made me forget a couple of things but now I rememberd them and this post was one of them,
And thank you for your kindness,
I wish you to live healthy, happy and peaceful life.

There is no sudden death with these devices...the sudden. Death was an old story that happened with note 2 and s3 dude ..and it is gone after the kit Kat and jelly bean updates..

Yes exactly ,
The problem was when i asked my friend he only told me that he put the phone on the charger and went to sleep and in the morning BAM the phone was dead,
And i asked him if there was something wrong with the phone before and he said nothing,
But when i put a fully charged second battery in it nothing happen so i figured out it was the PMIC.
Thanks for the clarification.

hey thanks for the reply,
no as the phone is hard bricked its 100% unusable, if it would even switch on that would be fantastic.
its more complex than soft brick.
im having the same problem... is your note alive again?
Return it and claim warranty, tell them that your phone suddenly went off and that you don't know the reason. They may replace the board for you.
wow thats sad

Then it's up to you to convince your client to return it to Samsung for warranty. As for recovering his data, that is the hard part.

Do you mean the bootloader that needs to be written as T-Flash to a microsd using Odin 3.09 or higher? (as per 13-58_SM-N900_Boot_Recovery_Guide_rev1.0.pdf) Isn't that just the same as sboot.bin written raw to first sectors of microsd?
I would be interested to hear if you managed to use that just for the "extreme hacking" angle of it :good:

hi sorry way over my head
this was back in October. I tried using an unbrick.img for the sm905 N3 Flashed to microsd and I was supposed to just
put in the sd card in my phone so it could boot into download mode but was unsuccessful as I needed an unbrick.img made up for my device
model sm9005. hope that helps.
Thanks

I do not think the microsd is enough - the Note3 ONLY boots from microsd if you short R4075 on the mainboard - there is a notice from Samsung service somewhere around with a name like 13-58_SM-N900_Boot_Recovery_Guide_rev1.0.pdf that describes the details (and comes with a good picture of what you need to short).

Take the battery out to power off the device then try getting into Download mode, reflash your Firmware and voila you're good to go

I think you need to state your country or look yourself for the firmware on sammobile.com and extract the bootloader
Or wait for someone else to reply. Good luck

[Q] Help! Screen went Black after TWRP reboot

Help! I tried to upgrade to lollipop 5.1 based on a youtube (no links allowed) video through TWRP. After the "Success!" message it prompt me to to press NO or OK, so I touched OK exactly like it said in the video. After this, my screen turned black and it wouldn't boot again. I tried everything! Putting the battery out and in place again, pressing vol. up, start and menu button. Nothing. Vol. down, start and menu, still nothing. I tried to do the same three buttons thing with my phone plugged in and the ODIN program running on my PC. A Glorious Nothing! Keep in mind that my battery was about 50% charged at the time. So, what did I miss?
Please help me! Is my Cellphone bricked for good?
I am using a samsung Galaxy SIII Neo:

May be that rom wasn't compatible with neo. I think you have bricked your mobile. Search on google or xda forum "how to un brick s3 neo". And after neo should mention your model number.

Well, I'm pretty sure I used the right rom for my i9301 model. I checked the descriptions carefully. I googled for an answer and it says that I need to have specific tools or a micro usb with less pins or an island in Aigaion Pelagos. I don't know... It's way too difficult for me. I guess that's what you end up with, if you play with fire. Another brick in the wall... But, thank you anyway! Any other suggestions are welcome. I just can't afford a new mobile (How does an old T310 Sony Ericsson sound? Perfect battery life for starters!).

Thanks, but go where? I can't see any links. Maybe you are referring to the the method where you use odin and the original firmware to roll back to the original state? I tried it but with no luck.
The truth is I am not exactly sure if I use the right files! I have the i9301 version that originally came with 4.4.2 kitkat installed. I use Vodafon Gr as a provider (but the phone is from Romania). So, I used this file
I9300IXXUAND1 firmware version for Galaxy S3 Neo (GT-I9300I) from region LYS. Was it the right one? I found this method from forum.gsmhosting and said it was about Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo GT-I9300I Dead Boot Repair..

NO for me
Sooo, I tried every step on the guide, realllly carefully, but NO for me.
I bought a 16 GB 10 class Transcent SD card, formatted it with Panasonic SD formatter (tried with the windows genuine formatter too), tried both FAT32 and NTFS method. Next, I wrote the debrick (128 MB) image (dnld from the link especially for i9301). So, ejected it, put it in the sd card slot, placed the battery and did the three button trick (down vol, power, menu). Pitch black! Tried it many times with no results. What do I do wrong? Everybody else manages to fix it in the end, but I can't. Maybe the problem with mine is something else! But I explained in the first post how it all started. Now I am lost in space!
Is my phone Hard Bricked? Fully Dead? Maybe the guide you posted was for Soft Bricked phones. What did the pal meant to say with this?
"But first please make sure that its Hard Barick (fully dead mean not turning on or nothing works except when u connect to pc it will show qualcomm)"

Guess what! It worked in the morning! So, the mobile needs a nice sleep too! So, everything is okay now. Though, my initial purpose was to install Lollipop 5.1.1 (after rooting, of course) and I was bricked in the middle of the operation.
Now, given that I 'm an insistent, dumb headed POI, I would like to try again, the right way. I would use the same guide, but I don't know what went wrong in the first place. I guess, I 'd have to repeat the same procedure again, if something went wrong but, I don't know... I know that I 'd have probably tired you but, could you propose a method to do so?
Lastly, I want to thank you from the depths of my heart for your patience and your guidance through these days. You 've been truly helpful! :good:

Oh, are you saying that your mobile is alive now? And please don't mention that "help" thing. We are here to help each other. Once i was a new also and i learned so many things here. So, i am just sharing what i have gained from here.
Some times it happens, a little mistake could lead you to a big sorrow. If your mobile is alive now , i am happy for you. And if it is not then i am suggesting you to take it to any repairing shop. May be they can do something about it. And if you still don't get results then keep it with you, it's hardware wouldn't be a waste.

You need a class 10 card for the guide, otherwise it will corrupt.
Well if you don't remember what is the official firmware you can use 3 methods
1.Visit the shop or the site where you bought it and ask about the firmware version otherwise just check it in the product info
2.If by any luck you have the brand box there is a section where it mentions about the phone details
3.Last you can try many firmwares one by one unless you find the stable one which will be easily to do with Odin V3 and if one firmware doesn't work simply load another one via download mode
*Tip*I once had a situations when i installed the wrong firmware and it literally couldn't even boot into download mode with the power + volume down way so i searched for it and the solution was to simply try other button methods it took me like 10 minutes but i figured out a way you better search for it cause there are plenty ways..
if you need any help feel free to find me [email protected] otherwise reply in the thread
Good Luck..

Pretty Please Help. Bricked S5 and Lost

So, I'm at a total and complete loss as to what to do. I have spent hours upon hours googling, and searching xda and trying step after step after guide after guide and I canNOT fix my S5! I've tried recovery, I've tried Odin and there has got to be something I'm missing. When I plug up the phone into my laptop, it sort of recognizes it, in the sense that it makes the notification noise of it being recognized, as with any external device. Odin picks it up as well. The issue is when trying to boot up the phone, it's stuck on the Samsung Galaxy S5 custom, android etc screen. it will not go past this. i'm almost in tears right now, and just want to get the phone working again. Is there anyone out there that can help???
Tiny update.
So I tried another method, and still having issues. Only difference is, I get past the powered by android screen, but then when getting to the Samsung with the color and oval it freezes and shuts down. One step forward, 2 steps back.

well, let's just say i have a folder of 26 links, majority from here on trying to find a solution on how to root and consequently unbrick my phone when I messed it up. that's probably not even all of them. I only posted on one asking a question, but it was about upgrading the firmware (still waiting on a reply on that, lol). so I have no clue which post it was that was finally successful in restoring my phone.
