[Q] CM11 for I9505 questions - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi Everyone.
I'm new in this forum, and also new to android society so my questions might sound noobish and unnecessary.
I've installed CM11 4.4.4 on my GS4 I9505, and I was wondering if it's possible to flip the quick toogle buttons like in Slimsaberkat rom. What I mean is when you have pulled down the notification panel, instead of pressing the upper right icon to enter the Quick toggle page, you just swipe the notification panel to either left or right to enter Quick toggle page.
The last question is, the stock kernel on CM11 is it possible to download as a standalone, because CM11 is the only rom/kernel that has given my GS4 I9505 5 hours screen time and last 19 hours totally. I've tried many roms before CM11 and many different kernel ( alu/Ktoonez/googymax) and the one on CM11 is the one that I find best.
I apologize for bad grammars and misspelling.
Thanks in advance for all the help.

Can't you already swipe to the side on the bottom of the notification drawer after you've opened it? On the bottom line? Pretty sure that used to work when I was running CM (on stock atm so I can't check)

Thanks alot for the answer, unfortunately I just send the phone to servicecenter due to a broken proximity sensor. I'll check it out when it comes back.

[Q] Paranoidandroid SD density

I have a question about the paranoidandroid Sd and thought i would ask here in the question forum first rather than putting it in the development forum.
I want to change the density of my softkeys in the status bar because when there enabled they cover half the status bar and the rest is covered by the time, batt and other info, so when ever i get a message or notification it overlaps, i know it will make the keys smaller and harder to touch but i only ever use the one key anyway, thanks for any help
I am running my phone in tablet mode
Things ive tried
Changing the DPI in nova
Changing the global density

[Q] Phone behaviour after am incoming call ended / while playing music on headphones

Dear All,
I've been using android for a long time, also wrote few apps, nothing huge tho.
I recently swapped my beloved SGSII for Nexus 4 ... and one thing drives me nuts!
Its phone behaviour after incoming call ends. Why the hell Im being kicked back into phone activity, while it was not the place I've been before the call? Its irrational... And drives me crazy
Im doing something on my phone (lets say - gaming), and someone calls. I answer, we chat for a while. Call ends. Where am I redirected to?
THE DAMN PHONE DIALER! dafuq?....
Hah, but there is more (definitely some more of this, I'll go mad, and they will lock me up ,) ) - imagine what happens when you ride your bike, listen to music and then answer a call .)
Yes, you guessed right! Im being redirected back to phone activity WITH SCREEN UNLOCKED, even if it was locked and turned off before the call.
Thats what actually pushed me to write this topic - I called my coworker by mistake because of this today.
And here comes the big question:
Does anyone knows a ROM or modified phone.apk which would have this fixed/changed/worked around? I just want to get back to where I was before after a call ends....
Yep. AOKP ROM dialer has an option for that.

I'm on edge network right now so I can't up the apk... You can probably help yourself

Does every AOKP based rom has it? It looks like this might be just kind of ROM I'm looking for .)
Few more questions then:
1. Does it have option to show battery % in notification bar?
2. Option to show toggles (Wifi, bt, data,...) in notification bar? (like in cyanogen)

Yeah everything based on AOKP should have it.
1. Yes. In 3 different styles
2. Yes but the implementation differs a bit from cm. The 'tile' type of toggles become hidden once you've enabled the 'power toggles' in notification bar.
Try the latest milestone. It's epic.

I hate this "feature" too! Any ideas how to correct it on the stock 4.3 ROM? I'm rooted with custom recovery and franco kernel. Don't wanna flash a whole new rom just to fix this one issue though.
Maybe flashing the AOKP or CM10 dialer apk would dod the trick?

[Q] Remove annoying notifications on lock screen? (CM 11, 4.4.2, Nova)

I just purchased a Note 3 (htlecan), and installed Cyanogen 11 (4.4.2) rom from Temasek. I also installed Nova Launcher.
I've been searching for a way to remove the notifications that appear on the lock screen on the right side, but can't seem to figure out how. I've tried disabling lock screen widgets, and it still appears. I don't have any third party lock screen apps installed, and I know it's not Nova doing it.
I'm also rooted, so more extreme methods are doable.
I'm pretty sure it's either a CM11 thing, or a Kitkat thing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, here's a screenshot.

I'm wondering if anyone can tell us what app is doing it.. is it Kitkat or Cyanogen? What ROM and Android version are you running?
It must be an extra feature in Temasek's rom. I'm using the standard/official CM11 and those lockscreen notifications are not there.
Try asking Temasek directly. There's a specific thread about it in the development section.

Well I found it, and it was already disabled. Wierd..
I had to turn it on, wait for a notification, clear the notification, then turn the feature off.
Settings -> Temasek spare parts -> Screen and animations -> Lockscreen notifications

2 questions about themes

[Q] Android Lollipop interruption time length

Hello everybody,
Kinda new to this site, but not new to android. There is one question that has been bothering me for a couple of weeks now. I did search the Galaxy Note 3 forums but did not find an answer to my question.
So here's the situation. A couple of weeks ago I updated my N9005 to the unbranded Polish version of android lollipop, seeing as my country had not yet received the update.
I love the firmware, but there is one aspect of it that is, at times, quite bothersome. I am talking about the interruptions that pop up in the top of the screen as a white bar. I am running the stock firmware and it is rooted, and my problem is that these interruptions, in my opinion, take far too long to disappear.
The actual question I have is if there is a way, either through the settings menu or through editing some system files, to change the length of time these interruptions remain on screen? I'd love for them to disappear, like, twice as fast. I do not want to dismiss them either, because that removes the actual notification from the pull-down menu.
Can anyone on here help me? Thanks in advance.
