Hi, so recently rooted my LG-F320L and knock on doesn't work anymore while knock off works... I've seen threads where u have to dial something like 3845*#802# or 3845*#800# and you go to hidden menu, but it doesn't work, maybe because it's Korean version..? Maybe I've done something wrong with this root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45692679#post45692679
And also I've tried hard reset with menu button and volume down button and it doesn't work, just LG logo keeps reloading :/
I'm on my way installing CloudyG3 1.3 today, maybe things will change, hopefully
update!!!!!!!!! I've just found that number for korean version hidden menu is 3845*#320# yay!!!
but i still have the other problem with hard reset tho :/
I believe the number for the Korean version (F320) is 5457#*320#

Is it KitKat? If it is, turn off, press power+vol down, when LG logo appears, let go and press vol up+vol down.
If it doesn't work, and the Jelly Bean combination neither, connect it via USB to your pc and use adb (adb reboot recovery).

Ok, so I installed cloudy G3 1.3, everything works perfectly fine except 2 things: every time I open gallery, it says "unfortunately gallery has stopped" and when I go to settings>display>home touch buttons>button combination, it says "unfortunately settings has stopped" and it drops me to settings>display slide. And I can't access hidden menu like I did once on stock ROM
This is a known issue with the G3. That is why I have it thrown down immediately.

Gallery can be fixed by clearing the Media Storage dat, if I recall correctly.

What about button settings? :s
False alarm, everyone! I'm really sorry, it was only my fault, because I'm level 1 noob in rooting and flashing custom roms and such... So I was experimenting and after carefully reading steps on how to install CloudyG3 1.3 I forgot to make a backup and wipe system&data That's all folks! Everything works like a charm now

I know that there are loads of threads on XDA regarding bricked G2s (and how to fix them), and believe me, I have scoured every one I could find. None of them had the same situation as me. Here it is:
- tried upgrading rooted G2 (d802) to KitKat through PC suite
- on reboot, phone gives repeated "Unfortunately, com.android.systemui has stopped" messages
- this prevents me from doing anything - cannot start developer tools/USB debugging; cannot software factory reset; may as well have a broken screen
- tried booting into recovery - there seems to be no recovery
- I have booted into recovery before the update; I tried using the same method - nothing
- I googled for alternate methods, none of them worked either
- has download mode - what does this enable me to do?
- tried using a 'restore to stock' flashing tutorial on XDA - didn't work
- it is here if anyone was curious
- cannot access through ADB
- TWRP gone
- have no idea how to access through fastboot
Any other options available? Is there any other way to enable USB debugging, trigger fastboot, access the phone through ADB, or factory reset it?

ok well first entering factory reset(or custom recovery)
-before d80220d the key combination to enter factory reset is with phone fully powered off hold volume down+power and when lg logo pops up let go and hold volume down+power
-after d80220d(or any update that includes knock code) the combination was changed(pretty sure it had to do with the fact that on kitkat we used stock recovery to install root and everyone who couldn't get in via adb just had to use button combination which everyone knew) and the new combination with phone fully powered off is to hold volume down+power and when lg logo pops up let go and hold onto volume up+down don't touch power, if you have tried these then you should mention it

You are an absolutely beautiful person. I think I have fallen in love with you. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH! I swear I found at least 5 different tutorials and none mentioned this.
If your name doesn't go down in history, the world is cruel and unjust.
Sorry. But thanks. SO MUCH.
Im facing the same problem, wanted to go back stock and had CloudFlexy 2.3 installed. Did the firmware flashing, got stuck with procesesses stopping and couldn't boot into factory reset.
Found this thread and got to factory reset, tried factory reset but now my phone only has android figure with spinning thingy inside of it going on in my screen. ADB wont recognize the phone.. I think i need to flash stock rom or something but not sure how to. Please help, how did you proceed rtswan1211 after getting the factory reset screen?
Edit:
After waiting for 'bout 10mins for something to happen i just tried to reboot the phone and still the same spinning android logo came on. Finally plugged in the USB cable and phone booted up with working software. Had me really worried.

after tried several times, FACTORY RESET successfully done.
Previously, I updated the 20G through custom recovery and forgot to wipe clean. After completely installed the 20G, error shows blocking the screen and the custom recovery was gone. after several attempted, I succesfully done by:
- turn off the phone completely
- press vol down and power
- release immediately, upon LG logo pop up, and
- press vol up and vol down
- Factory reset menu pop up
Seems now is harder than before, I need couple times to try before succeed
Hello fellow people...
So, my lovely Android (LG P700) is stuck in a bootloop. So, here's the story of my phone:
1) I bought it and eventually managed to root it.
2) The same day I installed CyanogenMod 10. Everything worked so fine.
3) Later I upgraded to KitKat prime (Based on CM11). Pretty darn fine, but it was laggy like hell.
4) So I decided to downgrade back to CM10. It worked, BUT THEN - it ignored my SIM card completely and when dialed *#06# I found that my IMEI got torn off my phone.
5) So I installed AOKP KitKat. Was REALLY good but it didn't have some crucial-to-me options, so I found somewhat tasty...
6) And I installed the Pac-Man ROM. And something went quite wrong, because it only booted every third time, else it gave black screen, but everything worked really fine. But later, I noticed that Wi-Fi won't turn on, so guess what...
7) AND WHAM! MY WORST MISTAKE! Wait for it... I decided to install the Phenom kernel (Idiot me, it was made for CM10...), TADAA!
8) After the LG icon it gave me 3 random stripes distorted and pink in color. And the recovery is nothing but black screen.
9) So I tried to flash rooted v20d kdz to it... Nope. Only stuck on stock boot animation and the three button combo won't work, no recovery, no black screen, no data wipe option.
10) I used the official KDZ updater... Same sh* as 9).
11) Tried flashing rooted v10k... NOPE, the flasher is throwing the error: WParam: 4, IPARAM:1002.
NOTICE - Yes, I did data/cache/dalvik/system wipes everytime when I upgraded my ROM/changed kernels. I also used GApps every time.
Anyone can help me?
Thanks in advance!

I had almost the same problem yesterday. My phone could go to emergency mode. If yours too then try this. Download the V20a ROM with root and CMW (it's really important to use this one): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2214717 (thanks Homero2 so much!),
- Installed the msxml file in the KDZ folder
- Run KDZ_FW_UPD.exe as administrator
- Set it to 3GQCT and DIAG, open the V20a kdz file and press "Launch software update"
- I still got a lparam error, but here's the great thing about this ROM. Even though I still got a bootloop, I MANAGED TO GET INTO RECOVERY! Instructions: Press the power button and the volume - button at the same time. When capacitive buttons turn up, press the menu button. When LG logo appears, release the power button. (REMEMBER: VOLUME "-" BUTTON AND MENU BUTTON NOT HOME....
- Recovery shows up.
- After that, I pushed a downloaded ROM (zip file) to my SD card and installed it via CMW succesfully!
Use CPA rom for p700/005 this time, it bugless and remember to factory data reset.
Hope it helps you!

Thanks a lot, but... recovery won't turn on, everytime I try to push vol-/menu/power button combo nothing happens and the phone tries to boot up as it would normally leaving it in an infinite bootscreen... Btw, my home button is broken and the vol- button is brokenish and I need a few tries to press it normally AND the captive button lights, well... they won't turn on anytime, just dark touch-able areas and that's all. I'll try to get to recovery though.
EDIT: BTW, you sure it's DIAG not EMERGENCY?

Hi guys,
I recently installed Simple ROM (Stock Android 5) for my G2 D802 however, I've found a need to downgrade back to 4.4.2. I went to flash a stock rooted 'H' version of the ROM which i've used before however during the flash, I got the error 'error executing updater binary' during the process.
After searching on google, it seems that I needed a newer version of TWRP (I had to change to a 'bumped' version to install the Simple ROM).
Having flashed 2.8.4 of TWRP, I rebooted the device however I now have the following issues:
- The device boots, shows the LG logo and the LED flashes
- The device never finishes it's boot
- I can not access recovery mode using the key combinations required
- The device doesn't seem to turn 'off'. When I press and hold the power button, the screen goes blank (though, still on) and then shows the LG logo again
I suspect, that because I cannot turn it off, I cannot boot to recovery.
Any thoughts on a quickfix?
EDIT: - It seems that I CAN turn the device off by holding vol UP, DOWN and POWER for a few seconds. I can get into download mode this way..

Make sure you're trying both combinations possible for recovery, PWR + VOL DWN > PWR + VOL DWN method as well as the PWR + VOL DWN > VOL DWN + VOL UP method. You may be on a different recovery then what you think (happened to me once). The fact you can enter download mode is great however, worst case you can always return to stock.

Not going so well.. Installed everything on my Windows machine but it doesn't seek to pick up the device in download mode.
If I select 'Read phone information' on the Flash tool, it stops responding and I end up needing to close it. Also, in the Flash tool, what should I select under 'select type' - it defaults to CDMA..
I can skip the 'read phone info' bug and just hit START which then loads the 'select country and language' view, then the LG Mobile Support which doesnt pick up the device.
help?

Have you installed the LG Drivers? Link
If you have, when your phone is connected open device manager on your PC and see if you can spot your android device, or anything that represents your device.
Everything you need to select is in that thread I Iinked you too.
You dont need to change anything within the tool, keep cdma selected and just make the language english, you can keep the country on korea it doesnt matter.

Yup AFAIK everything is installed. The device was picked up by the machine as it did ask me install more drivers.
The main issue seems to be sat with the LG mobile support tool. It continuously fails due to an error and nothing progresses on the device itself.
The only thing i've noticed is that the bottom of the device screen, shows 'B18' and 'Rooted'. The B# keeps increasing, though?

The B is just your current battery percentage. It will increase as it gathers charge from the USB connectivity, nothing to worry about.
As for why there's no communication between the software and your phone, I can't explain that but it's obviously looking like a driver problem. Try opening the LG Flash Tool log file found in C:\LGMobileUpgrade\log.txt.
Copy and paste the entire log onto pastebin and I'll have a look at it for you.

May I suggest putting your kdz file in the LG Flash Tool folder.
Also does the LG Flash Tool stay at 0% or does it increase before failing? May I also suggest trying this on other Operating Systems if at all possible.

Not that I'm aware of. Have you tried a hard reset?
Take your phone and turn it off.
Wait while your device is shutting down.
Then, press volume down button and power button together until the LG logo appears on the screen.
When the LG logo is displayed, let go of the power button, keep pressing the volume down key and then press once more the power button.
Once you do that, on your LG G2 the factory reset menu will be displayed.
Press power button in order to agree and wait while the hard reset is being completed.

That requires booting into the recovery though right? I can't get to that point. So yes, i've tried that but the LG logo just shows, and does not get to the reset or recovery screens.
The device just sits at the LG logo screen with the LED pulsing and changing colours.

No, you could just do it while the phones turned off.
Instructions to do a Master Reset with Hardware Keys can be found here.
The only other option I can give you is attempting the old manual kdz method found here, sorry .

Congratulations for fix it! Ok, messenger, facebook and Instagram updates seem ok, but, L speed apps? what are those for? It sounds they are mods or something like that, right?
If yes, maybe those updates could cause the issue.
I wouldn't trust on them again, just in case. In that context, why don't you try Tomos's tweaks to get the most for your phone? They are specially made for our device and work like a charm in the mine one.
By the way: Xcam is my default camera now. Thanks for that.

Hi friends,
I have a Samsung galaxy J5 2016 (SM-J510F/DS). It is continuously rebooting, it reaches till android home screen and reboots from there. While in the home screen it shows a msg (Android is Starting.....), and then it reboots. I have observed that all the button presses and touch is working for a short duration in between the reboots. I have searched all over internet and tried numerous ways to enter to recovery mode, download mode, nothing is working. My home button is also not working. Can somebody suggest me a way to enter to recovery mode so that I can do a clean wipe and start new. Please help. Thank you.
Hi,
Did you tried to make reset from within phone settings ? May be you are able to enter Recovery Mode after that!
( My Samsung Galaxy J 3 pro was almost in the same condition rebooting again & again, One Repairer even said that the display has gone but I was able to enter the recovery mode > Bootlaoder > Download Mode & flashed latest stock rom with ODIN > Working perfect now! )
I turned off the phone before it reboots. Once it was completely off, I pressed ''Volume Up + Home + Power'' Buttons all together, released them as soon as anything appeared / flashed on the screen, an installing update screen appeared & then I was right in the Recovery Mode with all the options.
Thanks.
Thank you for the reply, but my home button is not working.

same case as me. theres a third party apps that let you go to recovery mode google "Ultfone Android System Repair" i recommend you to download on their official site, the only problem that this app has is your phone need to be on if its off the app wont detect it

you can try something extreme like shorting home button contacts, but it might be a bit difficult.
