If you are rooted look in /system/app/ or /priv/app/ for FOTA/FW or Firmware apk`s, rename them by adding .bak after .apk or delete them.

Yup, add .bak to it or delete it, there should also be a (local) FOTAClient.apk in /system/app/ or /priv-data/.

Would changing the name of this get rid of the notification ? It has the same icon as the app in the notification pane
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G870A using XDA Free mobile app

Ok so i went ahead and changed the name of that last one and it got rid of the notification so its all good. Anyone else who wants to do this the files are FWupgrade.apk, FOTAclient.apk and wssyncmldm.apk the last two are under priv-app. Thanks again for the help man

Actually its a two part deal. Install the app you already have then search for com.google.android.exchange-6.0-893803.apk and download and install that. Then Exchange will work.

I tried that and no luck. Many different combos too. Tried as system app. Tried as an installed apk. Cleared data and cache on both apps nd entered servers from scratch. It just keeps crashing. Rebooted. Not sure what to do.

these apps (on the D802) are done in a strange way. they are in
/data/app
with system names (LGTaskManager.apk) but only as symbolic links to files under
/system/apps/bootup
once you remove them from there, they also disappear from lg update centre. only lg backup and safety care is there because they are (for a change) under
/system/app
what a mess.
Sent from my LG-D802 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
i think i give up trying to put them back in /system/apps/bootup. i took the apps from the lg flex thread, and simply dropped them in /system/app. so far they havent shown up in update center.

that didnt work with the world clock widget. had to simply install the apk under /data/app

no no,it's not working this is the second time i have delete all knox file i made all from description, same thing after restart bootloop on samsung, maybe the cf root i have flashed its not good one ? i dont know
- Reflash the rom you are on.
- Flash a custom recovery
- Flash this script http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/general/scriptknoxout-complete-brutal-knox-t2807172
- Flash cf auto root
That should work.
Ok its working. I am root now. Thanks a lot
