XNPH33R OTA with modified Updater-Script - ONE General

https://www.mediafire.com/?922rx2xn53yt72r
Here it is. Enjoy. And yes it works on mine :fingers-crossed:
It's a new Official Update
Changelog taken from Android Police
-A new radio image.
-Touchscreen fixes (addresses BACON-55, which was originally reported and subsequently brought to our attention by Ausdroid). There's also an extensive thread on OnePlus' forums about it, among many other places (forum account needed).
Update: The fix is not complete, as reports of jumpiness are surfacing once again. It did fix the deadzone / random touches issue which prevented me from unlocking my phone for 10-15s at a time as I simply couldn't trace my pattern due to all the jumping around.
Unfortunately, the grounding issue which results in multitouch going nuts remains unfixed and must be resolved via another driver update. Another excruciating wait begins.
-Decreased power consumption in idle state (fixes BACON-599 which we wrote about here).
-Unspecified audio fixes.
-CVE-2014-4943 and another unspecified security update.
MD5 : 7538A068384C52FF6CA06C4B128B5ED1
P/S : I didn't have that jumpiness of sort, mine is working fine.

Flashing this worked perfectly for me. Thanks.

Glad to see it worked

Good job, works great

No, it's strictly for CM11S
See, back when XNPH30O came out, lot of people couldn't update using OTA method when they are rooted/running Xposed/custom kernel and so forth because the OTA update would check the files before updating begins which of course the update would fail on devices running the aforementioned stuff. And a guy named Ludester modified the updater-script to bypass that file check and of course the update worked on these modified devices. So fast forward to this update, I just did the same thing.

Sorry Guys, but with TWRP i go into recovery and simply flash this file?

Yes, and wipe cache after flashing then reboot.

Yes you can

wipe
there is no need to wipe
i just installed it an no problems
i didt no wipe

Nope.
Phone is stuck at the OnePlus Logo after flashing via TWRP. Wiping caches and re-flashing didnĀ“t help.

the "flashable root" version would be PRIME 1.8.2, thats the closest you'll get. There is no stock + superuser on any ROMs yet.

If your device isn't rooted, go to settings, about tablet, then click firmware update up top, and it will install this update, if your device is rooted this file is useless to you since you need to unroot to apply it until someone mods it for rooted devices. Good luck!

Where should i put the zip file?
Should i leave it with it current name?

If you rooted you cannot apply this, you need to unroot (head over to the development threads or google "unroot asus transformer xda" then after you have unrooted simply go into settings, about device, then click firmware update and it will apply this update, then simply re-root =] there is currently no way to apply this otherwise to my knowledge
hey
Mine is not rooted but ia still cannot update . What need to be the file name?
Thanks

it is supposed to be in /cache and named the same with the .zip removed, however I don't believe you can place it in that location without root so just update as instructed in the above posts
I need some help. The update popped up for me yesterday, but I was rooted. So I proceeded to follow the steps to unroot my device, and got it all working again. Now I can't get any updates to appear for me. I even tried to manually check for updates, it says none, but I'm still on 8.6.5.6.
Any ideas?

Sorry for the late reply, I have been busy with my other thread, alot of people want to make their devices louder I guess. As far as updating you could also check with the Asus website, they might have the update with instructions.

Hello,
Did you tried it ? 'Cause except for the security patch, i dont' think this update worth it, am i right ?
I think people who were in that version didn't got any update to B37x.
To my (limited) knowledge B180>B370 excluding betas.
in my case failed at 9% and I do not want to reset phone... staying at b180

@Ing.King really strange, i did it without any issue.
By the way guys, I just released it. It's up to you, updating or not..
We who had only B371 couldn't either update. Where and when will we get B30?

Really soo weird, I installed it at once without facing any problem.
It doesn't need a clean B180 rom because I installed it over my usual rom. It wasn't clean.
Something must be wrong in somewhere... but where?
Back here again..
No good news, tried to instal via sd, same issue, fail at 6%
But, but, but there might be a reason, i flashed the sdk21 of xposed, and idk how to remove it.. maybe this is the cause of it....
When you installed, you had to : unroot & put the recovery back ? Or you where "clean"
I'll try tomorrow, with a rest head

Hi,
Hmmm so maybe the xposed package.rar i've flashed made this error
Well, i'll try when i receive the H8
Or maybe i had to put the recovery of B100 instead of B180 :/
Edit 1 : When i check the local.prop, there is "ro.dual.sim.phone=false" or the PLK-L01 is a dual sim, so i don't understand ^^
Edit 2 : Flash with TWRP =
MD5's missing
coming from B180 stock /rooted /xposed.....
1.) i flashed all possible partitions i had extracted (HuaweiExtractor) from B180. (system; cust; boot; recovery)
2.) reboot
3.) i flashed full rom B180 from folder dload (vol up&down&power) to be sure to get really all parts of firmware!
4.) reboot
5.) local update b190.zip from folder dload
6.) reboot
7.) i flashed twrp rc3 with fastboot to recovery partition
8.) had rooted and installed xposed now
all works as expected! Now i am on B190.
at least i had to install some modifications to system again and recover my data partition (twrp)
all in all nearly 1 hour hard work!

Hi,
In fact you just cleaned up your B180 in order to instal the 190 ?
The "real" B180
Pure stock if i could say ? Sure, it will work, but i tried to install it without getting back to stock^^
uff 1 hour to achieve upgrade... pity that I have to do factory reset to make upgrade to b190, no root no open bootloader no changes to firmware despite all this I cannot upgrade normal way... very sad, bad job honor(huawei)
because i had made a backup of my apps and data with the HUAWEI backup app (update to version from PlayStore is necessary!) recovery was easy! Had to remove some blood ware and unused apps only!
then reinstalled PMplus; managed autostart and apps they should stay on if screen is off.
reinstalled my google account
all in all a little bit more than 1 hour like i told you
now i am on b190 rooted; xposed and xprivacy activ on; and of curse Viper4Android for better sound.
real easy!

Yes, as B371 is the latest one so they will push B371 only, now there are no incrementals. But I have put up a thread here, maybe sometime later I'll post the OTAs too.

Flashed 930UUEU on a 930A

Just got this phone in yesterday as a replacement for a water damaged LG G3. Thought to myself that I was pretty good at rooting, flashing etc. so I decided that would be the first thing I would do. Long story short, I rooted the phone just fine and even flashed the non-bloatware-filled rom available with little problem. Then I tried to flash xposed with flashfire and, well, things didn't go so smoothly. Ended up getting stuck on the AT&T splash screen after every reboot. To attempt a fix for this I thought I would just use Odin to flash stock, what I thought was stock but was really 930UUEU, once again. I am now realizing that I flashed the wrong firmware and am currently trying to flash G930AAT once more but keep getting "FAIL! Model dismatch fail" in Odin.
Open to any suggestions at this point as I am at a loss. I've tried using a different version of Odin, 3.12.3, but to no avail have not been able to get it right. Let me know if you need any more information as to help me with this problem. Thanks in advance!
You're probably flashing an older firmware than what's on phone? Which verison are you trying to flash?

Currently the phone boots straight into recovery. I get the update droid that fails and am sent to the options where it has me as running G930UUEU2APEH. I am pretty certain that this is the firmware I mistook as stock and half-flashed with odin. Still able to get into download mode so let's hope I can work this out!
Download the U firmware that I posted and flash that. Should flash fine. I've done it several times with the mode Odin from the root thread with zero issues

Alright, looks like I may have run into another problem. I've rooted and flashed xposed properly this time. Kept getting a security warning so I thought it would be okay to uninstall SecurityLogAgent.apk and I am now unable to install apps. This may just be a coincidence and it may be that I have a different problem. May also be important to note that I have to reinput my WiFi password after every reset.

Reflash the U firmware and that will restore the security log agent app. If your rooted you'll get that notification, you'll need to freeze one of the security apps in titanium. As for the WiFi password there is a fix for it in this forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...-root-install-xposed-unroot-t3411039/page230.
Also you should probably flash his V15 fixes it will fix multiple things when you root.

I did, it fixed my WiFi issues and being I flashed the debloat version it also got rid of Instagram etc. so I am certain it worked. Could it have something to do with me installing lucky patcher?

Just an update. After some deduction I decided it must be lucky patcher. Uninstalled it, wiped dalvik cache and everything seems to be fine. I am still cautiously optimistic.
I'm no help on the root issues. Root isn't what it used to be so I don't really mess with it anymore.

Found L14 Honor 8 B320 Update... What do I do now?

So, I found the OTA update packages for the FRD-L14 to B320 (and B317)
I really wanted to update... but I'm not sure how.
I'm rooted, with TWRP and SuperSU installed, and it all works ok.
I didn't want to do any hard methods, scared of bricking it. Updating the OTA over SD card isn't working (can't even find the setting)
So what to do?
They are only OTA updates, not Full, so I can't just use dload method to load them up.
I would prefer to keep root, but if I have to reflash to stock, and then re-root, I can do that.
Any other methods I can use? Can anyone with a bit more knowledge help me out?
And of course, more than happy to share the OTA files, one is approximately 3gb (B317) and the other is about 300mb (B320)
Thanks
Unroot phone and flash stock recovery
Will that work? I tried doing that but the updater didn't find the update in the SD card. It told me there were no updates available.

you need to make sure the zip file you get are the right one.
since your have TWRP, just flash the update.zip and the update_hw_usa.zip Link without reboot in between.
i updated to 5.0 (320) on my L14, i don't suggest you to upgrade if you need Bluetooth. Everything works fine except Bluetooth. And if you need tutorials and all roms, just reply me i will send to you.

You need two roms:

AND
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1278/g104/v68368/f1/full/update.zip
Steps:

3. flash update.zip (if some errs shows , just miss them.)
Also don't wipe data & cache
4. reboot, if you cannot show correct build num in 'About'
, just use the *#*#2846579#*#*, and use software upgrade to flash update.app from both usa.zip and update.zip.

I was missing the hw_usa.zip file. As an educational experience, what is that file?

that is honor8's hardware code and support library of Android 7.x. You can understand it as hardware firmware for honor 8. and update.zip is system and software part. In order to make software part works, you need correct hardware firmware.

Ahh, that makes perfect sense. Thank you.
I had tried to update it via twrp before, and when that failed, just tried dload method, and neither one worked. I didn't have the hw_usa file.
I appreciate the help, and just running a backup before I go ahead and flash.
Thanks, it worked great! Any tips on how to re-root? I need the new SuperSU version, right?

i updated to 5.0 (320) on my L14, i don't suggest you to upgrade if you need Bluetooth. Everything works fine except Bluetooth. And if you need tutorials and all roms, just reply me i will send to you.

Bluetooth is working fine for me on FRD-L14 on B320. That probably means you flashed the wrong file or an incorrect version.

Do you use L14C567B320 68368, or others? Could you post the links of HW and update.zip to me?

Currently, there is no way to re root and install twrp. there is a post:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-8/how-to/twrp-nougat-edition-t3504140
It shows how to install twrp on 7.0 and root. Not work for me, so i give up this part, just enjoy the original Emui 5

I updated through the charles app. I am not rooted with custom recovery. Here is a link to the thread that details how I did it, with the original firmware link for the version I'm on.

Hmm, it seems to have worked for me, but I seem to be running into some issues. It might have failed for me too.
I HAVE to replace some of these default apps. Some of them are truly awful, not to mention I have to uninstall some.

[solved] fpcalibrationresult needed (fingerprint scanner not working)

Please share your fpcalibrationresult file for comparison.
My fingerprint reader is not working - if you have any hints how to get it working please let me know.
When I run Engineeringmode (+#808#) -> Device Debugging -> Fingerprint Test -> Fingerprint Optical calibration -> 6776 -> Start -> Next
I get the error:
0x60 SPI Test Timeout
257_timout: wait for cmd[223:Get Sensor ID-20000 ms]
which does not make sense to me as the fpcalibration shows G6_7
and aquire fingerprint chip information also shows
G_OPTICAL_G6_7.0...

Did this happen after you upgraded to OOS 13 possibly, or are you running a custom ROM? I went from a custom ROM to OOS 13 just to try it out, but I didn't use MSM to do it so my fingerprint didn't work either until I did a local update of the same OOS 13 ROM and it fixed my fingerprint scanner KB2005 8T otherwise if you made a backup of your persist partition you can Flash that and that usually fixes it

I'm used to rerooting with TWRP that is actually not working for the 8t Android 12 for now - so yes - if you have a good way to do it please share.
My current thoughts: get the original update zip file (seems to not yet be available easily),
extract boot partition, patch with magisk, flash in fastboot.

KB2003_11.C.36_boot.img
Hey guys, my fingerprint sensor is also dead after upgrading to OOS13. No animation, no vibration. Engineeringmode (*#899#) fingerprint autotest says PASS. Upgradeded from OOS11 ota via OOS12 and Oxygen Updater local Upgrade. Keep root by Magisk install after OTA. Any ideas how to fix that?
I have found the solution. UNSF 2.2.1 Magisk module update to 2.3.1 and it works again.

Hi, my fingerprint doesn't work... kb2003 version. I can't run the engenering test because I got SPI error: Your phone is locked
Could someone share the persist.img with me? I don't want to exchange the whole partition I just want to compare some file on it. Thnx
One idea is to wait until Android 13 (and Android 12 for that matter) actually works.
Both A12 and A13 are buggy nonsense with bad battery. And I will not be "upgrading" unless there is no other option.
This whole MUST HAVE LATEST VERSION fetish is becoming a little tiresome.

yes. The problem was the incorrect persist partition. The official service couldn't repait the partition, so they replace the mainboard.
Take care of the persist partition.
