Is this a real or fake S5 ? O.o - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I'm looking for a S5 and I really like this one, it costs 800lv, which is really good for my country and it's brand new plus it's the 32gb G-900F variant with a 2 year warranty. But take a look at one of the pictures posted in my attachment and please tell me if such an S5 even exists
I thought the 2 versions were the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Quad Core and the Exynos 4 Octa Core, but this picture shows a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 with 8 cores ???? Any help is highly appreciated as I'm thinking of buying this for Christmas

I can't. This is just a pic from a site. I don't have the device with me, but it can clearly be seen that it says Snapdragon Octa.

It's nearly impossible to tell without the phone in hand. I was scammed before and the phone had Antutu pre-installed and was hacked to display the information of the authentic phone. Ask to see a shot from the apps the other guy suggested. Also, Antutu doesn't even look like that anymore. The older version would suggest to me that its a fake.

Pi4, hodi go vij na mqsto ili poiskai oshte snimki ot prodavacha. Sashto ne si vzimai octa-core... Gledai za g900f modela.

It is fake as snapdragon version is quad-core not octa and even the settings page is so different... Check with cpu z once... But this is for sure fake...
Sent from my SM-G900H using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

Definitely fake. Don't bother. Qualcomm 8 core?

Thanks guys, one more question: which version is better and why - Qualcomm or Exynos? @azsamsancho and me think the S801 is better, but wanted to know why
Ok, the phone is obviously fake. I posted 2 comments regarding the picture from my attachment and both are deleted.
Sent from my " Black Beauty " using XDA Premium 4 mobile app

Qualcomm's for sure. Better GPU and 4G if nothing else. Only positive, IMO, on the Exynos is the audio chip.

This might help you identify its originality

So much for "Iphone 5 will put S3 to shame" ...

First Geekbench results of Apples new Wonder-Phone:
http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench2/1030202
And btw. ist no where near a A15 inside the Iphone 5, it's ARM v7.
Galaxy S3 does 1600 in Geekbench Stock, too. No overclocking, no nothing.

Seems the iPhone 5 is only running at 1.02Ghz.
The iphone 5 dual core is faster than our quadcore. Search for new benchmarks in google -.-

If it's not fake then good work for the benchmark until Jellybean for S3 arrives
http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench2/1026099
Still S3 outperforms Iphone5 :good:
And Iphone 5 will only use that for the gaming applications because their homescreen is so basic (No widgets and true multitasking), so to summarize it's still a useless upgrade.. I'd rather buy a Ps vita/nintendo DS for gaming if the main focus of apple products is to improve the hardware for gaming.

4 Cores at 1.4Ghz should win out over 2 Cores at 1Ghz. But by a lot more than that.

The only thing that pulls the iPhone 5 benchmark scores higher is memory bandwidth.... The s3's cpu scores substantially higher.

If it's only an ARM v7 then it can't outperform ours because ours are ARM v9's (international s3's dunno about American etc)

Speechless after Reading Snapdragon 800 / 600

Speechless after Reading Snapdragon 800 / 600,
Samsung probably won't implement this on their next Flagship; but wouldn't the Snapdragon 800/600 outperform the Exynos 5 processors? This is crazy, but mobile technology is making long strides.
Maybe but no one will be able to touch the unique and innovative software and tw ux

Well, CNET says the 800 would be coming to mobile devices (mobile phones as well) in Q2 of this year.
Im loving the News From The Guys Who Make Snapdragon Processors, they clocked some of the newer ones at 2,3 Ghz (Possibly NOT Overclocked ^__^)

I very much doubt its legal. Whoever had it originally I imagine stole it. Similar to the iPhone 4 event that happened a while back.

Most likely is one of Samsung's prototype S4 in the typical box shell that all their prototypes come in. Where did you get it from?

It's a test model. Yes it's illegal to own and sell. Why? Because samsung has a contract on all its test models and testers that they cannot take them out of factory.
Sell it on ebay? HELL YEAH just don't put a return address. Or you can hold onto it and watch its value go up or down depending on collectors and what not.

Snapdragon pretty much always has better dev support here.
snapdragon but samsung always releases new firmware and sources first on their exynos devices before snapdragon. I would go for an exynos because it is easier for me to tweak with perseus kernel and has better memory management. gets hot but the processor and gpu are easier to manipulate. Snapdragon is cool though. byt then again, thats just me ranting about

Is Snapdragon 805 model any faster?

I could see you can buy SM-G906 having Snapdragon 805 inside. I did searching using Bing to find any good benchmarking of the new processor. But alas. So if you got S5 prime for any chance, then please share your benchmark results. It is great also read any impressions about new display. One bad thing it isn't using Wolfson chip, so no good audio
Little more faster, i think no worth.
