Apps and mod for GT-i9506

Hey I started this post so people can put their apps from anothers versions that work in GT-I9506. Because in apps section are no apps for our phone. So at Start most of these apps and mods are someboby others creations, so let the credits go where do they belong!!! I have installed note 4 weather app in my 4.4.2 it is from albe´s NOTE4 apps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/themes-apps/exclusive-note-4-apps-collection-t2882577. S-Voice works too, but it is better to put in system/app. Right permissions 0644/ rw--r--r--. allso pas2001 bootanimations work. albe´s s5 music player works. So namanagraval_93 music player, witch is actually A5 music player:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2697455. Frageti´s Finger howering:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2705514. S6 messages work; it´s beatyful and fully working. And many themes work, as long you remember to look that system ui haven´t moded. If that is modded you need nanoid or vr theme back up. And remember to look if you are deodexed or odexed. Example A5 musicplayer works perfectly but I`m de-odexed rom. so I delete odex files from priv.app and app. If you know more put it here. And allways KEEP NANOID. For questions I´m here, but put the apps up.

i'm trying to activate the one hand mode, (easyonehand.apk) do you have info about it?

Sorry mate, been busy. What rom are you in? Need to know.

Witch one of them? In my phone I can't use it it wont work. Not even with xposed. Try to put in apps or priv.apps set permissions, reboot and set phone to easymode. I don't have easymode at all.

i don't understand if i just need the apk or something else...
here there is a zip with a lot of stuff inside...

No, I meen witch 4.4.2? I have I9506XXCNJ1 and if you have deo it is not stock, you have root.... And if you folloed the instructions and it wont work it wont. When I know your rom I can try to make you one that works.

i have CNI1
i think i have understood why it doesn't works, i need to edit android.policy.jar for our 9506, but i don't know how...
i've found another one here now i've restored the nandroid backup prior to te deodexing...so it's just stock with root
this mod, anyway, need a deodexed rom

DeHawk. Allready deodexed and there is autoroot and everything in 1 page. Android policy.jar wont be enough, but I found one promising mod. I'm gonna try to make mod there for you. I'm ripping it from s5 mod for 9506.

in the last thread mentioned, the one for 9505, page 2, they just edited policy to make it compatible to 9500
i don't like to install a custom rom now because i'm scared about eventual bugs...with my old phone i'm finding bugs...now...after a year of use...i don't want that happen again...and i just don't know what this rom can do and what not...when i know the stock rom well, maybe i'll look for something more...

Ok, but you cant use the mod with standard, you need permessive. After you install permessive you can edit your own androidpolicy.jar and download from EX.DeHawk's allready modded secsettings and edit only needed lines. I have used modded rom three years and if rom ok, no bugs. And in DeHawk,s rom is no bugs. It's better than original.

ok i've taken a policy from here and i used the file from the 9505 mod, i have deodex but no permissive, now i see the settings, i can activate it, but it doesn't work :crying:
you are talking about permissive but is not mentioned in the threads of this mod, anyway now i try to force permissive with an app and i'll report back...
ps. now is permissive, doesn't work.
it'd strange that works on every s4 models but the 9506...

Yes that is proplem with this phone. We know that it works with every other... I'm gonna try something and report back. It should work with those modifications.

I read a lot about it and almost everybody says that's not possible...

You need to download tw camera app for cm. There are many versions to choose from just look it up in here xda.

And for washwash. I just got back from holiday, and no success yet. I made one version and it didn't work. Starting to think that its too mutch for my talents. I have one more option to try. Porting it from some rom.

But if it's keyboard that you need, that is easy: just install LG keyboard with onehand options. But I check out the porting from rom. After when I found rom where it's working.

i've found this it's for E300S, the eastern version of the 9506, i tried to download it from here with the help of google translator but i can't successfully complete the download, only around 25% and then it stop
anyway i wish i've never bought it, there is just nothing for that phone, even the usb mass storage is bugged as hell.
ps. no, the eastern variant is the E330S

Sorry that aswer. Wrong language... That rom what you was refering is not straight compatible with gt-i9506. There is some difference in software and there is some difference in hardware too. Arter97 can tell you more. And that skt rom removes normal tw-rom. There is awailable xploded one-hand mode. Allso when googled one hand mode for s4 you get one hand mode for 4.4.2. Not tamida's version. But it wont install. I tested. But when I extracted it and installed it one by one with root explorer I got it working.

Can anyone do something with this wonderful thread from S4 for the S5?
It says is compatible with the Galaxy s% but I dont get how it works. ..

EDIT : Just tested and the easyest way to install themes and layers is instal this apk from google play HERE
Download the apk layer from the dev thread, put apk on phone.
Start the Layers manager , click on the image and you'll have a few steps to follow ..
1. browse for the apk
2. install it
3. apply.
4 Reboot
It's just awesome..

There are apps on the play store that you can use to achieve the functionality. I personally use the Rebooter app frrom Rom Toolbox pro, its an all in one app that can do lot of things; however if you just want Advanced Power menu, try the below apps. Do remember these apps require Root access; not sure if there is an app that can do this without root !!

Thanks rbhanot2 for reply, I really wanted a mod or patch, normally I use Wanam Xposed but there's no working exposed framework for Samsung . I don't want to use a custom rom either so hopefully something will turn up.

[Help] Lollipop experience with Gapps and Samsung Stock apps

Hello Everyone,
I wanted to have lollipop experience on G7102 So I used cm12.1, it's good but it doesn't have stock Samsung apps like My files TouchWiz among other, also it doesn't have Gapps.
For Gapps I found a 600mb package on BasketBuild site
but for stock Samsung apps I have followed method 1 of an article at joyofandroid but failed to install apps as it says App not installed.
Kindly suggested How to get stock Samsung and Google stock apps on this cm12.1 rom on Grand 2. BTW I got S Health from PlayStore

I don't think there's any way you can have stock samsung apps on cyanogen.
Although you can use app2zip app and make flashable zips of stock samsung apps and try restore it on cyanogen.I got walkman on cm13 using this method but failed for samsung's my files.It may work for a few apps.

There are tons of 'em.But Based on TW not cyanogen.
I think you should try adityarom v3.I've heard ciro's rom is great too

Currently I'm on CM what should I have to do to get on TW?
As far as I understands I have to change my recovery to TW from CM and it requires some computer tools?

Who told you that?Just download,place in sd card,wipe data and cache,flash and done!!!
I've tried aditya rom v3 and flashed using philz and works like a charm.
You can try s6 or s7 any you like both are TW LolliPop based and include Samsung apps.here's the links

I think s6 more stable.But i've tried s7 only and got minor bugs like settings display option FC,Lockscreen effect minor bugs.
Maybe There's a more stable rom recently port for Grand 2.It's something like "S7 Project Lucky".I'll give the link if you can't find

I downloaded and installed zip using recovery, but it stucked on rebooting, I tried wiping Cache, dalvik, system wipe, no avail
Finally reverted back to cm12.1
any suggestions?

Dude,i told you i've only tried aditya s7 v3.I an not sure about others.I think you should mention the problem in the project lucky rom thread.Or maybe you did'nt follow the exact guidelines.
Maybe you needed to be on stock before flashing cuz i always restore stock before a new rom.

I left Lucky project rom and tried Adi's V3 its amazing except settings bug and memory full problem, found any solution?

Does it really matters?Besides i think shadow was in s6 not s7.Still if you want shadow you can use xwidgets app and download s6 widget from it.It contains shadow

[TW][ROM] Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Touchwiz rom

Hi all,this rom is made and tested for Tab 2 7.0 P3110 (it should work for P3113). This rom is NOT TOUCHWIZ BASED that means you cannot download any Touchwiz app and it would work in this rom. It have some ported TW apps and they work. Rom is builded with Nightly CM11 and it work really fast. I would try to update it and port more TW apps on it. If someone know how to port old TW apps please reply.
How to install:
1.Install TWRP or CWM recovery
2. Always made backup
3.Wipe data,system,davlik and cache
4. Flash zip file
5.reboot to rom
Important:
1.In themes Select S5 TW theme (for now need that way but i would edit apps to look like TW wthoud theme)
2.This rome have sound booster
3. This rom doesent have GAPPS, i would provide a link to download them, but for Kitkat it just slow device​4. This rom uses a CM11 stock kernel moded to run TW frameworks.

It works i guess. Dpi is way too big and some apps crash. Why need samsung apps and chat on tho.

I posted it but Admin removed it... DPI is bc i cannot port any other TW Home app for this only this one, and only thing that crash is Clock and Task Menager... Is there a way to change DPI to one app but doesent efect others?

closest i know to that is paranoid preferences on jellybean. but this is kitkat. walkman and sys ui crashed for me

Sorry for late reaply, for me all works, did you do all correct while flashing? I maybe know where is the error, i had 2 kernels one from Samsung but sys ui and framework res crash, on other one i have half samsung half CM and it worked

i did all the wipes then flashed the rom. also what kernel do you use? cm11 is pretty laggy for me

Hi, i fixed the issuse, i use SecMediaProvider and it wasnt installed, now i added CM11 stock one and roms works fine and there is error on CM keyguard and i put Samsung lockscreen instead, sorry for my mistake and thanks for help. I use stock CM11 kernel with TW framework Addon, i put that in thread
