So I went to far with my S4 with xposed frameworks and got it stuck in boot loop. Being a fool I never installed a custom recovery. What I'm wondering is whether it is safe or not to install a custom recovery to fix my problem by uninstalling xposed fireworks?

A recovery and a rom are two independant things. So just flash away.

Thank you very much, i thought the rom and recovery where two separate things but wasn't 100% sure and didn't want to risk hard bricking it. Worked like a charm and so did the xposed disabler. Back to normal now
So, this is the second time I have tried installing xposed, first I did it with the stock ROM, and that bootlooped it, and then I tried slim pickens, that also boot looped. So now I am just installing the recovery, I was attempting to install just arm and v84, and help? I really want to modify my phone so it looks good
I flashed latest twrp using Odin
First boot seems successful but if I restart phone again then recovery bootloop. ..currently I have to flash twrp on each boot with Odin
Any solutions??
The problem arose after installing xposed framework for Samsung. Uninstaller xposed
Still issue remains after flashing recovery again and again.

Dont use third party utilities to reboot, only use the 3 button combo.
I just installed Lineage OS and it works fine. Problem is there is no Google apps play store so I need to get Gapps
But in order to get Gapps flashed I need to reboot into custom recovery like CWM or TWRP.
I couldn't figure out how to install CWM or TWRP at the first place so kinda ignore it thinking nothing will happen.

I flashed LineAge OS with TWRP app downloaded from Play Store, the phone prior to bootloop was rooted.
I used odin on my PC to flash to stock rom and it just gives me bootloop, the samsung logo just fades in and out like on a bootloop
Samsung G903W is the model number
hi did you get it to work?
