There is nothing on Sam mobile. I've been hunting for the firmaware everywhere but the sprint variant is so new that it is not yet available at least that I know of.

14 day exchange policy man. Use it they have to give you another one endless you're over the 14 days. I work for sprint, if the equipment fails under 14 days they have to exchange it as fsaulty equipment don't get played.

I purchased a nexus 7 as a gift for a family member that lives overseas. Is there anything that will be affected in terms of updates and or general usage aside from the charger? I don't want to give them a headache if I can avoid it, so any info would be a big help before sending it. If there is anything I should know or do in preparation for them I would much appreciate any info, Thanks!

So is there no change in the software at all? I apologize I am new to anything nexus as I am mainly familiar with Samsung stuff. I know for instance the galaxy note 10.1 has ics in usa officially and Germany already has Jellybean. are updates like that likely to be the same?

As far as I know,
I'm going to Asia next few months ( in this case, we use Asia for example) and I called Google regarding my concerns. What I know is that the
GPS and navigation will definitely work.
The play store seem like only the app will work, Movie/music/TVshow/ magazine will not work if I did not remember anything wrong.
Android updates for the Nexus 7 will be continued I think. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.

This question has already been asked more than once. Why not use the "search" function and follow the posting rules instead of complaining about no one rushing to this thread?
The phone hasn't even been released yet. My advice is to give it a couple of weeks (at least) and let people have a look at it to see if it can be easily unlocked or not. Otherwise, you can try to deal with the carrier (or who ever you purchase your phone from) to try and get an unlock code. You usually need to be persistent and keep trying if getting the code doesn't work at first.

I bought my s4 via att full retail, called and asked about the unlocking and they said the system says it can not be locked and no est date. Rep said it prob too early to wait a month or two.

If you can afford this phone and a mac, you can afford a pc. You dont need anything high end, go pick up a $300 laptop. Hell, if you look around, you can probably find something sub $300.
I have parallels which is running windows 7 but dunno if that would work?
I ran VMware on my Mac to achieve root and it worked liked a charm.

I have one, but I own the E330S variant from SK Telecom, it's just so smooth since I just switch from the international Note 2 N7100
Can't wait to see the Dev's working on this awesome beast of a device
So far, I'm still content with the standard ROM, although it's packed with the Korean carrier's bloatware..
Just now I see in SamMobile there's already the 4.3 update for the SHV-E330S, but I'm still waiting from you guys for news concerning the development of this device...

Yes this is the Tab 4 forum and if you look in the General section you can see for yourself that a couple of the European 10.1 models (SM-T530 and SM-T535) have already gotten an update, all the other models are still waiting. Nobody here is a Samsung employee so no one knows when the updates will go out. Right now several of the models have working Cyanogenmod 12(.1) roms (lollipop).

It's fairly simple you just have to know which model number you have (settings > About device > model number) and then in the general section you should be able to find a method to root
