After custom upgradeto NB1 I cant use the tethering option it says : mobile data is not available or invalid sim.
I tried this guide and it didn't work for me

please bear with me ,am a noob and i messed up something with my N7 3G and i am desperately in need help
I rooted my device using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=40566291#post40566291 so my BOOTLOADER IS STILL LOCKED
I gave superuser previleges to ES File Explorer
Then i chose Root Explorer and browsed through system/apps.phone.apk b4 which i enabled ONE KEY INSTALL in ES FileManager
When i clicked on Phone.apk the app asked permission for installing and i gave NEXT and finally it showed as APPLICATION INSTALLATION NOT DONE SUCCESSFULLY
The real problem happened now like the signal og my network was gone
It showed me as no service
when i tried to search for mobile networks it is not allowing me do so and displays the error as "UNFORTUNATELY THE SETTINGS HAS STOPPED"
Now i cant access internet via mobile network which is the only possible way for connectivity
No WiFi networks nearby
REBOOTS Didnt help me
pls help me out
Do you have a custom recovery installed?
Unlock the bootloader and flash CyanogenMod.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but when all else fails just flash it back to stock with the instructions in the thread link below. It should work like new at that point.

atat s4 unlock with tmobile sim
I cant seem to get no wifi or data working, even before the unlock the wifi still didnt work and with my atat sim in only data was at least working.
"Wifi works in my house, every other device i have connects to it"
I've done factory reset but no help so was thinking about flashing would that solve anything?
Any help and advice would be much thankful!

Well, I had the same problem with my s3. I did a factory reset, and it worked. Try flashing the stock rom again, and be brave because you might lose your phone from not flashing right.

check your apn settings for your provider
i check and edit the apn setting n now data works perfectly but wifi still doesnt connect... i dont get it
try turning airplane mode on then off
you don't say if you are rooted with any custom recovery/rom or your build version
Hello guys, I've been experiencing "Mobile Network Not Available" issue. I've been using the phone for months without any problem when suddenly:
Problem:
Cannot make call or send SMS
BUT still able to connect to mobile data
Phone INFO:
Model: G900T
IMEI: It's OK
Baseband Version: G900TUVU1BNG4
Rooted
Things I already tried to do:
Changed SIM card and tested another carrier
Factory reset
Flashed stock rom
Flashed diff custom roms
Flashed the latest stock rom
Whean I search manually for network I'm able to connect to my carrier, but still no service
Please someone help me.

My phone always says emergency calls only after upgrading a new firmware. I've tried airplane mode, switching different sim cards, the name of the network comes and it says, 'can't now, try again later.' I've tried and tried to no avail. I also used the Z3X tool, and when it is reading data it comes with an error written 'reading data (0)' while trying to patch certificate.
If anyone has a solution for this please help me, because it's annoying.

It means you flashed a different firmware or you lost imei
Make sure to enable OEM unlock before proceeding
Flash modded twrp and then flash any custom rom

Install latest stock rom via odin and your signal problem should be gone. After that you can flash twrp and install customs roms to your liking.
