It depends if your carrier has 4G as I am on Three network UK and I too dont have the LTE option because 4G not out in my area yet but when I changed sim to O2 who already have 4G the LTE option appears.

If you're already rooted go to data/property ,find the persist.radio.lteon.xml file. Open it in Text Editor and if the value that is written is false, change it to true. Save and exit and reboot. Thats it

If you don't know it means you're not
If bought directly from Vidéotron and no modification has been done to your device, you're not rooted

Any benefits being rooted? Is it like being jailbroken.?

Rooting has many benefits. The main reason I do it is to uninstall all the bloatware that Samsung saddles you with. My Note 3 came with 25+ useless apps that I can't delete. That's not even counting the 7 that T-Mobile sticks on here. Most of them don't run all the time, but a few do. Like Magazine and the also useless Samsung Siri knockoff. I just use Google voice instead. Another advantage to rooting it would be all the customization options that you would have.
Hi Guys ,
I am Little bit Confiused, doest Verizon Note 3 Support Sim ,
Does It Support Cdma, Tata Sim, Does InterNet Work On Note3
Plz Help . I Need To Buy , If All This query Work
Verizon uses a 4GLTE sim and that is the only sim the Verizon model will accept I believe. The phone does support 3G aka CDMA. I highly recommend this phone

Are we able to select the LTE Band we want to use? I assume my N3 is working on Band 3 (1800) & Band 7 (2600).
Is there a way i can just select the phone to use only Band 7?

Done....got it working now. Have you tried testing LTE speed based on 1800 and 2600?

Well....band 3 (1800) is good for penetration so if where you are, signal is weak, there is a high chance you're on band 3 but that does not mean it's fast cos signal strength does not equal to performance. band 7 (2600) signal could be weak but there are lesser users so performance could be better.
The attached pictures shows the performance between the two bands. on band 3, i get 3 bars of signal while on band 7, i get only 1 bar but the download speed is almost double.
Just my little understanding on LTE. hope that helps and if i'm wrong.....kindly correct me.
Interesting findings. What to you using?

You cannot just keep at a single band all the time. Reason being is not everywhere has good signal for band 3 and band 7 so depending on the area you are at and if you are working and require fast connection, if you are connected to 4G and assuming the speed is slow, you can then change band to see if it helps. In my case, when i'm at home, i'll just switch to band 7 cos it's way faster and this way i make sure it does not switch to band 3 which is slower.
It's extra work to be switching bands but again, it's only if you need the speed and since we know how to, just make full use of the 4G connection

1. I know it's a silly question BUT are you in an area that supplies 4G or only 3G if that!
2. If so, the phone should pick it up automatically by default.
3. Make sure the "Mobile Data" icon in the toolbar above (in the slide down menu) is on!
As you have not described any issues that may have created this problem, one can only presume it was when you first turned the device on.
