I have an Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 and it have a problem with loud speaker. When i turn on the phone everything its working but after a while the speaker dont want to make any noise, in music player, setting or if somebody calls me even if the volume its at maximum. if i restart the phone it works again but only for a period of time. I tried already factory reset and i flashed a diferent (older version) rom with odin. I dont think its a hardware problem if it works even for a while... What do you think?

Hey guys, need some help here
I'm with CM7 and the latest nightly. This is a great rom and it worked just fine for weeks.
Yesterday I opened the FM radio app and tried to listen for some music (i didn't use the app before). I connected the samsung's earphones and then I pushed on the speaker icon to test if I can hear radio from the galaxy's speaker. The only thing I heared was a white noise just like on a real radio when there is no FM signal. so I disconnected the earphones and pushed on the volume up button and heard a wierd sound.
Then tried to play some music but the sound was terrible.
Then tried to reset, but still the sound was so damn awful.
After that I tried different CM7 kernel but still no good. at some point the speaker has stopped working. Tried to swich to froyo, but still no speaker. tried to reinstall CM7, MIUI, original JVQ (with voodoo sound) but nothing helped...
I think my speaker is doomed
please help!
any idea?
btw, the earphone is working ok and the internal phone speaker is ok as well so i can make calls...
anyone?
maybe someone with similar problem?
I suffer this behaviour on my i9505 since long time.
No audio during call (I don't hear the other, the other doesn't hear me) but only with the phone itself.
If I use a bluetooth earpiece, everything works.
I've tried deep clean, reset, custom rom, stock rom... no way.
Please help me, I think there's a way to solve it but I'm not able to find it.
Hello there kind geniuses on XDA forum I have a challenge here that only you can solve!!
I'm an android lover who consider himself an "advanced user" and thank to your forum guides and my friend Google i always being able to solve any problem with my phone... Until now!!!
I'm stuck with this ABSURD problem which I couldn't find a solution!!
My phone is a Galaxy S4 i9505.
Few days ago I went to sleep with my phone working flawlessly and in the morning I noticed I couldn't hear any sound apart from the startup sound and I had a lot of random freeze and reboots.
Since then, my dear geniuses, I've tried EVERYTHING I could think of but with no success on fully solve the problem. :crying:
This is ALL I've tried so far:
-Insert the headphones (no sound comes out the headphones)
-connect bluetooth headphones (any sound works perfectly out the bluetooth headphones)
-Start the phone with/without headphones and with/without external SDcard
-Wipe EVERYTHING (data, system internal and external SD)
-try 2 different custom roms (omega v40 and S4 Google edition)
-install viper4android app and drivers
-flash the original stock rom/bootloader with Odin
-flash the original stock rom/bootloader plus the pit file with the options "auto-reboot" "F.Reset time" re-partition" and "nand-erase-all" all enabled
No 100% success... :'( :crying:
Right now I'm at this point:
I have the Google edition rom "danvdh-GE-4.4.2-02182014-INT" obviously rooted with last busy box.
-I have less freeze and reboots but still happens randomly
-I can hear all the sounds through the Bluetooth headphones if I connect them
-I can hear the startup sound
-When I call or receive a call I can hear from the speaker, the loudspeaker and the headphones
-No other sound from any music player, no ringtone, no dial-pad tones, no touch sounds, no screen lock sound
-Sometimes, very rarely and completely random, I can hear some sound but with a bit of delay
-When I try to watch any video (online or offline) they are very slowed down unless I watch them with VLC player
-The phone take pictures and videos regularly.
WHAT IS GOING ON?!?!
I thought about being a hardware problem but WHY I can hear the startup and the in-calls sounds??
And WHY through the Bluetooth headphones I can hear everything loud and clear?!?
Sorry guys for the Essay and PLEASE help me... I really have no more ideas... It just DOESN'T MAKE SENSE and it's making me crazy!! :silly:
Hello guys,
Since a week my g2 has been behaving strange.
The audio has completely stopped working be it from the loudspeakers or earpiece. Even the mic is not working. Although, when i connect the headset, the audio in the headphones and the mic of the headphones work. At this time i tried rerouting radio to loudspeakers and they didnt work.
Since this issue the display switches off when i make a call and doesn't come back on till the person on the opposite side cuts the call.
It has made my device completely useless. I tried flashing cm12 nightly and then flash a modem according to the instructions on http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/lg-g2-sound-flashing-custom-rom-fix-t2810492
This also failed to work and the same issue continued.
I was running stock 4.4.2 when this issue happened
What do you guys recommend
Thanks
hey there,
I use speakerphone a lot while talking on the phone and had no problem with it.
one day it stopped producing the loud volume it used to and it's REALLY LOW since then. As if it's not on speaker at all.
there's NO problem with the volume while playing/watching media; NO problem while talking on the phone with my ear near the phone or with an ear piece. ONLY WHILE IT'S ON SPEAKER.
1- it's NOT connected to any update (it started on 7.0 and yesterday i updated to 7.1.1 hoping it will help, but nothing has changed)
2- my 6P in not rooted
3- it has stock rom
4- MAYBE it's related to an app i installed called "DRUPE" which affects the phone, but it didn't start immediately and didn't get fixed after remiving this app, so i can't be sure.
5- i've tried SAFE MODE, but it didn't solve the problem
6- i've tried looking for a solution in the settings but nothing there affects the volume of the speakerphone or limits it.
7- i've wiped the cache - NOTHING
the fact that the speaker works fine during media playing shows me that it's not a hardware problem, but YOU ARE THE EXPERTS' so please help me.
