Problem with fastboot mode - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My devide is on 4.4.2 stock rom.
I had root and unlock bootloader with towerl root and motocalyple.
When I boot to fastboot and flash twrp, cmd display waitting for devide
I also install motorola devide manager to obtain a driver. What am I missing for flash twrp?
Thanks All! :good::good:

Try rashr or flashify from play store for flashing twrp... If you need fastboot for anything else we can trouble shoot it but something like that that's not a "I NEED MY PHONE NOW" issue we'll go small...
We cannot teach people anything; we can only help them discover it within themselves.

Flashed TWRP as boot.img / Now it only goes to recovery HELP ME!!!

Hi people...
Everything was going so smoothly... bootloader unlock... root... some nice root apps... free paid games... and my p8 lite was just feeling so good... until... I flashed twrp with flashify under the name of boot.img... Am I stupid or what?! Now I can only get 2 scenarios... when i turn on the phone it goes directly to twrp. In twrp i get the option to go the bootloader screen... If I choose system it goes back to twrp... I can't get it to start. I downloaded the official tar.gz from emui site but I dont know how can I install it. PLEASE HELP... What should I do in this case?! I miss my baby...
Thanks in advance
You have to restore stock recovery in fastboot mode.

How do I do that?! If I wanted to wipe my phone completely and re-install the OS would be better to do it using twrp or stock recovery?
Thank you very much
Sorry, i misunderstood. If you flashed twrp as boot.img, reflash stock boot in fastboot mode.
flash stock boot.img in fastboot mode
and then flash twrp as recovery
will be like this
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img
fastboot reboot
use the boot.img from stock rom and twrp image you downloaded
Oh no!
Now I made some serious **** to my baby... guess now i'll have to send it to huawei to fix it. I made a full wipe like if it was format c: in computers... everything is gone (i didnt had any personal data) it doesnt have OS even. But when I still had twrp i tried to flash boot.img and recovery.img and now when i start it goes directly to bootloader screen but saying "please update system again" and where it used to say phone unlocked it now says (in red letters):
Error!
Func NO: 10 (boot image)
Error NO: 2 (load failed!)
I was able to get to eRecovery with usb connected but when i choose to download e install the new version it gives me the message "wifi starting failed".
It also does not get any instuction with fastboot. but hi suite starts when I connect it. Strange?!
What do you think? Should I send it to huawei? Or is it possible for me to make it work again?
Also tried UPDATE.APP function and all give me fail message.
I'm going crazy!!!! But I love to mess around with android... To me this is the android essence. Fortunately I have a lumia for when my baby doesnt work.loooool
Thank you all
I don't understand why you don't use fastboot. Everybody told you to use it. In our phone situation, without custom kernel or rom, twrp is for experimentation and you cannot mix things.

Well, you warned me... but sometimes i do these kind of *****... So, in this situation you think it's better to send it or is there way to fix this.
By the way, when I enter huawei eRecovery and I get the option to download the firmware through wifi and it says wifi starting failed, is there any way to make this work? And to fastboot do we need to open cmd as administrator to make it work? Because if Hi suite detects the phone I should also be able to fastboot it right?
Thanks for your patience
Just use fastboot aand flash everything

Hi everyone!!
First of all, thanks to everybody who helped me with this situation.
I now am using my baby again as if it was new. I wiped him completely as i stated before and it was as easy as finding the right firmware (136a) and using the vol down + vol up + power button technique. I put the UPDATE.APP file inside a folder named dload in sdcard using other phone (with my p8 was impossible). After that rebooted the device, pressed those 3 buttons and the instalation started successfully.
I just cant explain how happy i was. I stayed 3 days without it.
After that I have been messing with fastboot so thanks to everyone who made me realize that i didnt need to do all of this, but well, A full wipe is always welcome.
Is there any custom kernel on the way for overclock my baby?
Please explain to me how do I put SOLVED in this thread as my problem is already solved...
Thanks

Yeah finally my phone is working now thanks to you I searched many treads and forums but i cant find a solution. But finally i got an easy solution Thank you again bro.. Good Luck !!!:good::good::good::good::good::good::good:
Just download your firmware version, use huawei extractor to extract boot.img,cust.img,recovery.img and system.img
After that, download mininal adb fastboot copy you files into fastboot folder , enter fastboot mode on your phone and from fastboot folder, open cmd and type these commands:
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
After this your phone will boot normally. Once you've done this, copy update.app to your sdcard or internal and install it by local update. Once you've done all this, your phone is fine.
May I know how do you wipe your internal storage? and what if after wiping, im unable to get into recovery mode? does it mean phone is not usable anymore?
SOLUTION
Hello. I'm the bigest mess on androids but i know that flashing stock recovery can remove any TWRP/CWR. If its too powerfull flash stock boot and run fastboot -w.(fastboot -w erases all PERSONAL data)
Guys Help me in this

needing help with huawei Y3 II LUA-L03 (softbricked/bootloop)

hi everyone.
a friend of mine was trying to root his huawei but now it cant boot anymore.
he followed a wrong guide for the Y5 II and flashed a custom recovery (bootloader unlocked) TWRP.
now the phone its on bootloop with the stock OS. i think that its due to the wrong recovery flashed on the partition.
so im requesting help for this phone.
is there a solution for this?
can anyone bring me the stock firmware for this model?
i need it as update.app to extract the stock recovery, not as ota update (dload/update.zip) cuz i need to flash it using fastboot. the phone just can use fastboot cuz recovery partition is corrupted and normal boot doesnt work (bootloop).
plz someone can help me?
i already googled long for a solution but i can figure out how to make it work.
the phone comes with android 5.1 lollipop and is from chile.
pd: the phone can only enter fastboot by pressing vol+ and power. if i try to turn it on normally it bootloops. when on fastboot menu, if i select recovery, it bootloops. if i select fastboot, it works using adb from pc (i mean, i can download data to it, it doesnt boot via fastboot option).
if i just had the original recovery.img maybe i can flash it and make it boot normally again.

I don't know much about Huawei, but if firmware is available you should be able to flash back to stock. Personally, I would try to find the right TWRP and flash it...then it will boot and you can root of you still desire.
I'm not sure if this is the right one, but if bootloader is unlocked it won't hurt to try. https://twrp.me/devices/huaweiy300.html

Unable to flash TWRP on Moto e3 power with latest software update

I'm trying to flash TWRP (twrp-3.2.1-0-taido.img) on my Moto E3 Power. I had successfully rooted this phone once, and that's why the phone is unlocked. So when I try to flash custom recovery using the command "sudo fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.1-0-taido.img", it says it completed successfully, but instead of booting into twrp, my phone is starting up completely. When I tried booting up custom recovery using "sudo fastboot boot twrp-3.2.1-0-taido.img", the same thing happened again.
The software on my phone is "23.0.XT1706_S151_180706_ROW". So far I've been unable to flash twrp on this phone, but I got it to work an year ago. Please, can anyone help me what's going wrong here? I'm following the tips on xda-forums using which other users were able to flash the same recovery on their phones.
you can try this

[Temporarily] flash TWRP recovery on smartwatch without hardware buttons vol up/down

Hi all,
I've ran into a problem while attempting to flash TWRP recovery to my Lemfo LEM8 watch. When I boot into the bootloader I found out that it is still locked so I tried unlocking the bootloader by executing the command: fastboot oem unlock. Now the problem is that in order to actually unlock the bootloader I have to press the vol up button which is a problem since the Lemfo LEM8 doesn't have any volume buttons....
The reason why I want to unlocker the bootloader is because I want to temporarily boot into TWRP recovery, why temporarily? Because I am not sure I succesfully ported the TWRP recovery for my watch and I don't want to brick the watch with flashing a faulty recovery.
I know the tool: flashtool which can also flash the recovery to the device ofcouse but I rather temporarily boot into the recovery instead of permanently flashing it with flashtool.
Steps I took:
HTML:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot devices
0123456789ABCDEF fastboot
fastboot oem unlock
....
So my question for you guys is: does anyone know how to simulate a volume up key press so I can unlock the bootloader?
Any other suggestions on how to install the recovery are welcome aswell ofcourse!
Thanks in advance,
Kasper

You do not need to unlock the bootloader on a LEM8. It does not actually validate the contents of anything you flash into recovery at all. Use SP Tools (flashtool, as you mentioned) to flash recovery (and/or system and boot if you like). You will need a scatter file specifically for the LEM8, which is available around the 'net. If your custom TWRP does not work, just flash the original recovery back in. (Make sure you extract the original recovery first, also using flashtool, or pull it out of the most recent firmware image if you choose to download one.) As long as you use the right scatter file and only replace recovery, you will not brick the watch. You might get a boot loop, but that's easy to fix by simply reflashing the original recovery.
I am in the same position. I think I have both root and TWRP but cannot load them in to test.
From what I have found is that the command "fastboot oem unlock" is only used with older Android ROMs and you need to go into developer options and turn on OEM Unlock.
You then issue the command "fastboot flashing unlock" so that you can then flash the twrp recovery image by issuing the command "fastboot flash boot recovery.img" or whatever you named it.
The problem is that the command "fastboot flashing unlock" results in a warning message on the watch screen that requires you to tap an accept radio button or similar. Unfortunately this radio button is hidden behind the curved screen at the bottom and you cannot use the round to square screen found on the turn off screen to bring it into view..
Edit: On a closer look with a magnifying glass when I retried it asked to push the volume button up, but since there are no volume buttons on the device then ???????
If anyone has a solution, I would be grateful.
I used Magisk to patch the boot.img to give root and Team Hovatek's Mediatek Auto TWRP Recovery Porter to incorporate TWRP into the recovery.img.
I have tried the SP Flashtool in many configurations without success. The watch simply refuses to reboot and I have to use SP Flashtool to flash the stock ROM back on it to get it to work.
Any help would be appreciated.

Register and download your firmware; the scatter will be in the extracted download.
Or create one using the likes of WwR_MTK
Also, for the volume up issue - have you tried connecting a USB keyboard to your watch using a USB to Micro USB adapter? Long shot but never know? I've connected a mouse before and it worked. However Android had already booted and loaded the GUI so not sure about the lower boot level drivers etc

Help me Recover my files from no more booting Redmi 4 Prime. I will pay for success

Hi there,
after a normal shutdown, my xiaomi redmi 4 prime is not booting anymore.
it is stuck on MI Logo. I can enter fastboot and download mode. Phone is NOT rooted and Bootloader seems to be locked, but fastboot flash recovery seems to work. But all my hope to get a twrp started failed until now. I REALLY need the files from that phone. If somebody can help me, i will pay you money if you SUCCESSFULLY help me recover the files.
Beside, adb mode does not more work, after trying to fastboot flash a twrp image. But in ADB Mode i was in sideload mode, where no commands like pull did work. Oh and i never turned od developer mode i think. I will not stop believing there must be some person on this planet who can rescue my data.
thanks for any help.
I believe adb and developer mode are irrelevant since they work from within the system. One option is to make twrp recovery boot and copy files from it, but since you tried and failed you could try something else, but as last resort since I don't remember if it saved my data.
Since your bootloader is locked you cannot flash boot partition, but you can flash every other which cold fix your system. You should find EXACT same rom you had and extract partitions you want to flash (you have tutorials online, I don't remember, think you just extract them). If you try to flash complete rom with locked partition, process will fail.
fastboot flash system
fastboot flash recovery
fastboot flash data?!or whatever (or not data if your files are there)
Hope I gave you another perspective..
