I cannot install twrp recovery on my Note 3. I got cwm Recovery in my rom now. I tried twrp manager from Google Play and it will not boot to twrp start page. (the phone is rooted)
The phone is running Omega Rom fore now and no problems here. When booting to recovery to install zip with twrp (openrecovery-twrp-2.7.0.0-ha3g.zip) but no luck.

Custom Recovery not working

While starting to upgrade from CM10 to CM10.2/10.3 on MB526, I flashed TWRP zip file downloaded from Team-win website.
steps:
1) downloaded recovery and copied to SDcard.
2) reboot into custom recovery (CWM)
3) Flash zip of TWRP recovery
Since than, I am getting black screen after clicking on custom recovery from Bootmenu.
Device is working fine,
but with no custom recovery, my hands are tied...
can't restore backup, can't flash rom or do anything..
tried installing zip from stock recovery.. Installation aborted appears
Is there any solution to get recovery working without starting from scratch (flashing SPF and 2ndinit, and so on.... )

I think stock recovery can't help you now, you should start from scratch...
It isn't so hard, just takes time...
From CM10 to CM10.2, you don't need to change recovery, just install it. From CM10.2 to CM11 you should install update-recovery.zip, reboot, install CM11 + GApps.
Hope it helps... :highfive:

[Q] Problems flashing Alliance ROM

Phone: Galaxy S5 900I
Recovery: Philz 6.57.8
ROM: Alliance 5.3
I've downloaded Alliance ROM and installed as per instructions in the thread.
After customising in ROM customizer, I reboot (tried both automatic and manual reboot to recovery) and while my recovery loads, it doesn't automatically start flashing the ROM. I can go into install from ZIP and select the ROM and everything appears to install, but when the phone reboots, it gets to the alliance loading animation and just sits there, doesn't get any further.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Try booting into recovery normally and wiping data/cache/dalvik and then installing the ROM via your recovery (not using ROM customizer). See if that gets your further

[Q] Switching from CWM to TWRP recovery issues

Hi All,
So I have CM11 installed on my Note 3 with CWM 6.0.4.6 as my recovery. I want to now flash the TWRP recovery and replace CWM.
1) I download the official hlte twrp zip from twrp website
2) Go into cwm recovery and flash the twrp zip
3) But when I reboot, I see that I am still stuck with CWM and the TWRP recovery hasn't been installed
Can someone tell me if there is any step I am missing or what am I doing wrong? I just can't seem to get rid of CWM.
Is it because of CM11? I don't think so honestly (but I maybe wrong).
Thanks for any help that you can give

Please help
I flashed twrp 2.8.3 last time but when reboot recovery i'm still at 2.8.2. Then flashed latest 2.8.4 it's updated as it should be. Maybe corrupted zip unless you downloaded a few times then i'm not sure.

TWRP Loop

Hi,
after flashing serveral custom roms (with open bootloader) via twrp (latest version), which btw worked perfectly till now, i suddenly produced a twrp loop. I tried to flash another custom rom, reinstall twrp, but no rom boots. Only twrp appears.
Because of this i can´t also open the port to flash a stock rom via QFIL. Is it possible in my situation to remove twrp and install stock recovery? I can´t find a corresponding img file.
Thanks!

Need a backup ROM file for Note 3 N-9005

Hi, I was trying to flash a custom ROM via TWRP but failed and now it's showing no OS installed as I wiped everything. I also don't have a backup ROM to restore. I tried Odin but it doesn't detect my phone. So I need a backup ROM file of any N-9005 to restore it from TWRP.
Please help me.
What's your TWRP version?
Since Odin is not working for you, download this recovery image of TWRP 3.3.1-0:
https://dl.twrp.me/hlte/twrp-3.3.1-0-hlte.img.html
Now copy it to your phone, extsdcard, or via OTG.
Go to Install, Locate recovery image you copied, min right, tap "Image", the file will show up, tap on it, select "Recovery", and complete the process.
Now reboot recovery.
Download any ROM you want (without aroma built-in), try havoc os:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/ha...c-OS-v2.9-20191108-hlte-Official.zip/download
Copy and flash it normally.
My TWRP version is 2.8.7.0

Download 3.3.1-0 mentioned up there, copy to your phone, and flash the image to recovery partition.
It should upgrade when you reboot recovery again.
Then you can flash AOSP ROMs without a problem.
